The owner increased the monthly payment from $600 to $650, then agreed on $625, which I found unprofessional. My deposit was also withheld, even though I was told there would be no additional charges. Given the amount I paid over time, I could have purchased a similar vehicle. I've rented cars at other places and have never had a company keep my deposit before. Overall, my experience felt unfair and untrustworthy. The owner' came across as extremely greedy.

I only received a notification from Turo and an email, also from Turo. I reached out to CNX through the Turo app and asked what was going on, hoping it was a mistake. They said it was due to a recall on the car and offered to switch me into another car. I said, great. They never responded to my messages again. I offered to split my reservation if the issue was the length, no response. It was a horribly stressful few days as I scrambled to find another car. Turns out the Mach-E was recalled in March. Why they waited until June -- less than a week before my reservation -- is beyond me, unless they did not want to honor the price. Our messages are below. THEN that's when CNX sent me a text saying they had to cancel my trip. Not one message or peep from them until I am at the car and my trip is about to start. After inspecting the Hummer it was obvious it was not a sudden issue. SUV was covered in pollen and dirt and owners personal belongings, gum, water bottles and keys were in plain site. It's obvious he lied to Turo that it was a mechanical issue in order to cancel it. Wasted my time and uber to and from the vehicle when he could have given me much more notice. It's obvious they have done this sort of cancellation before and know that Turo won't allow the customer to leave a bad review because the trip never happened. Precisely why they have a 4.9 on Turo and much worse on here. Stay clear of this shady company.

Also, I had reserved a rental using their online reservation system but when I called to confirm if the vehicle was available, the agent told me the reservation never went through. Finally, the rental car market was pretty much saturated in July (not their fault) + I was told to keep calling to see if they had any available rentals. So, on the Friday my family of 6 was set for a Road Trip this was the only place we could find with a 7 passenger van. First off - they were 35% MORE EXPENSIVE than any other rental agency quote. The reservation that fell through was for $800, and Enterprise quoted $1,200 for 10 days - but didn't have a van. So, this place charged $1,700 for 10 days, unlimited miles. First off - the major rental agencies will rent a new car in great condition. Not CAR RENTAL HELP CENTER: -2017 Dodge Caravan. (FIVE YEARS OLD - no bluetooth, no navigation.) -Interior had trash in all the pockets, and a dirty fork under one of the seats. Disgusting. -112,000 miles on the odometer -No Car Registration in the vehicle. -Left front passenger tire completely worn out - suffered a tread separation the second night out - If it had been a blow out, we would have been killed. (Van was out of service for a day and a half because there are no tire shops on Sundays. State Trooper told us the tire was illegal, and it was illegal to drive without a registration.) -Missing exterior trim pieces. -Body Damage. -Seats worn. Arm rest had a divot from 112,000 miles of someone resting their arm. -Front Passenger door would not seal correction - constant wind noise -Check Engine Light came on 100 miles out of town. When I turned in the car, the attendant could not care less about the fact the car was out of service for a day and a half, that they had sent it out with an tire that was illegal. He was more concerned with getting the car out to the next renter, as he had called the day before to see if I could turn the car in early for another renter. So, we won't be back, and my opinion is that if you value your life and that of your family if this is your last resort, make sure you check the car, and the condition of the tires.

I tried to rent a car from both Hertz and enterprise, but they both close before 2 PM on a Saturday and they aren't open on Sundays so that means you have to keep it for an extra day, even if you don't need it. Total scam. These guys are open seven days a week with normal business hours and you can drop it off anytime. Super friendly and easy to work with. My car was definitely used and it wasn't the newest model of anything but you know what? It worked just fine.

I think their aim is that you show up in person the day you NEED the car, so that they can have you exactly where they want you. And so, if their website says it's all inclusive (insurance, liability, taxes) then when you're in person, why do they give you one price and then a Higher one "if you need insurance"???? Oh and btw...if your credit card protects rentals, they object to that and by "they" i mean literal, cause the other co-workers chime in, as if one vulture isn't enough. Last time I rented, the engine light did come on the car, so when they were reasonable and semi-decent it mightve been ok putting up with car issues but now, that they stuck, I will not be bothering with them at all!!
