Think of The Goat, but with more parking and a better looking interior. Same people own it, so the quality is the same (I think Republic Pi might be a tad better). All their pizza's are awesome and named after local landmarks. Their beer selection is awesome as well, and rotates pretty often. However I've had the pretzel bites (Pi Bites) multiple times and I don't know if it's the coating of the pretzel, or the sea salt they use, but it doesn't sit right with me. Higher priced gourmet type pizza in a fun and drafty atmosphere. Some tables are too close together so you brush backs with other patrons. It's is not as good as the flying by goat. It needs some work the staff was dry and the seating down by the cooks SUCK. The stool was awful and we sat right by the walk way. The pizza was ok not as good as Perry street and o was kinda of hopping it would be different the the flaying goat. read more

We recently stopped for lunch. We should have had pizza...but I just don't understand how a town the size of Spokane can have SO MANY restaurants that want to serve pizza. It just seems new restaurants can't come up with anything else. We had sandwiches which were not your run-of-the-mill on a toasted bread that were pretty good. There were maybe 5 different sandwiches and quite a few salads...but everything kind of sounded the same. We liked the "fries" and they had a pretty good selection of beers. The ambiance was the same as it was before the new owners took over. Lunch was decent...but I think I would try the pizza if you're thinking of going here. read more

My husband and I came for lunch about a week ago. The pizza was good but like most artisan pizza places it is on the spendier side. Cool atmosphere for dinner but the restaurant was super dark for lunch. Maybe that doesn't matter to other people but it does to me. The stools were really uncomfortable and the place was over air conditioned. My husband and I were freezing. The pi bites were good and so was the pizza. We may be back for dinner sometime but we won't forget our jackets and we'll sit in the bar where there are booths! read more

Cool atmosphere, prompt service and very little wait time to be seated& for lunch to come out. Had the Shou Sugi Ban, which had very little to no flavor--I was thankful they had red pepper flakes and a salt shaker on the table. My friend had the Prudence (build your own) with chicken and peppers, and said it had a smokey flavor, nothing else. Overall, 2/2 pizzas were not very tasty. We love Republic Pi! I had the Monroe without mayo and it was so delicious!!! My husband had the Dalton, and loved it! The coleslaw makes the pizza crust soggy, so I would recommend serving that on the side, but overall it was delicious. Reasonably priced, excellent food, and on a nice night, you can sit outside. Flat out the best pizza in Spokane! Probably better than Serious Pie in Seattle which was our previous favorite. From the Traditionalist to the Progressive pizzas they are all great. We have now tried seven of the pies and all are great in their own way but The Dalton was over the top good. Wow! Delicious craft pizza! I came here late on a Wednesday evening as it seemed all other pizza and beer places in Spokane closed around 8 o'clock (strange). Republic Pi was open until ten and the waitress was very kind and accommodating with samples of the MANY beers on tap and pizza recommendations. We had the 30th off Grand, the #37 and another pizza that had apple bbq sauce, pulled pork and apple cider vinegar style coleslaw on top. These are the best pizzas I've ever had! Love the food. The Caesar salad is amazing. Outdoor seating is great. Sometimes the wait is extremely long. Last time we are there the pizza was so greasy it would drip all over the place when you picked up your slice. But that's only one time out of 6 or 7 experiences. Republic PI is a breath of fresh air on the South Hill! It's a far cry from the mediocre food, enflated prices, and poor service of the Manito Tap House next door. Love this place. They have a good beer selection and use seasonal ingredients on their pizzas. They make one with bacon and Brussels sprouts that super yummy. They also had a pineapple cider last summer that I hope they bring back this year. The growlers are great because I can fill them up and have beer for about 2 weeks. But I don't think that they ever have specials on growler refills like Perry Street Brewery. The only thing I would never order again was the fried avocado. It seemed intriguing when I saw it on the menu, but then I ate it and realized that no one should ever fry an avocado. read more

I have passed by this place numerous times and never stopped in because I always thought it didn't look "kid friendly" from the outside but yesterday my husband and I decided to stop in with some friends and our two children and were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The dishes we tried were as follows: Rockwood Avocado Pi Bites Lincoln Mezzaluna Wall Street Fairview Pizza South Hill Pizza The appetizers were tasty. Their pico de gallo is ERMERGERD delicious and the Lime Creme complimented the avocado nicely. A really perfect start to our meal. Everyone liked the Pi Bites and the delicious cheese sauce that accompanies it, and my kids (2 and 7) were especially fans. The Lincoln Mezzaluna is tangy and very spicy, so I would go into that with caution if you aren't a fan of anything more than mildly spiced. It had a lot of Thai flavor to it, and I thought it was pretty tasty. My husband loved the Wall Street. He got double meat and ate all of it. The sauce is pretty tangy on that as well, but I thought it was a pretty good sandwich. We also shared the Fairview and South Hill pizzas. The Fairview is so delicious. Sweet and rich but not overwhelmingly so. I don't care for Alfredo and I ate more than one piece of it. I really, really loved the South Hill Pizza. Its so reminiscent of pizza found on every street corner in NY, especially one of my favorite places in Corona- Queens. This pizza takes it to a gourmet level with savory prosciutto, topped with a pile of fresh arugula and drizzled with truffle oil (yum!) and shaved romano. If you are a lover of simple yet fresh and flavorful, this is the pie for you. The kids absolutely loved their little cheese pizzas and enjoyed their leftovers for lunch today (too many pi bites before dinner). The food was perfectly portioned and tasty and our waitress was super sweet and immediately started pointing out popular dishes when I told her this was our first time in, which I loved. I love the flying goat and love this place even more. the beer selection is amazing lots of IPA's on tap. they now have the most popular flying goat pizza to choose from and some south hill exclusives. I have enjoyed Republic Pi over and over and over. I've never actually CRAVED their pizza, but it's good enough to be called really good. The topping combos are brilliant -- they've come up with very creative combinations that are delightful. I love the space -- big, high ceilinged, airy but darkish, brick wall, you get it. Half a dozen of the tables have great views of the guys slaving in front of the brick oven. But about that oven -- When I was last there our pizza bottoms were charred just this side of inedible. Only one more second in that oven and we would have had to send them back. We didn't complain to our server because they were yummy anyway, yet we were disappointed that she "slid it by us." She should have noted it (Did she think we wouldn't?) and asked if we could handle it. So maybe it isn't exactly a destination place to drive crosstown to, but it's at least a two-miler, and it's where I enjoy going for pizza over and over and over, 'cause I'm ONE mile away. read more

I really enjoy their pizza, pi bites and salads. Tonight however the wait staff was beyond rude. This female server actually rolled her eyes at me when I had to get up and ask her for more water. We don't drink. We are in recovery and shouldn't be treated rudely because we don't drink alcohol. We'll pick a more friendly place to go next time and tell others the same.
