I'm an east coaster so pizza in the west is difficult... That said, this is the best high end pizza in town. Worth the 45 minute wait on a Wednesday night. Folks are friendly and staff are great. We had a great service experience here. We placed a pickup order through Grubhub (big mistake lol) that got eaten by Grubhub's system. Republic's front of house comped us our sandwiches and salad and threw in a couple of discount cards for next time. We'll definitely be back. I came here for a lunch meeting and all four of us really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. You walk in and immediately get that feeling that just maybe this place is cooler than you are. Lots of natural wood and metal accents, with a toss-in of some marble for a little extra juxtaposition. They have a special lunch menu where you can get any of their pizzas as an individual size and add a side salad if you want. If you want to order from their regular menu, though, they bring that one to the table, as well. The lunch size pizza portion is just right. It's a good deal. I love the Fairview pizza from Flying Goat and Republic Pi has added it to their menu now, so I of course ordered that. Most of their pizza choices are unique to them but mixed in with a couple of the Goat favorites. They also have a few lunch sandwiches that aren't on the regular menu, including the muffuletta which you shouldn't miss! My coworker ordered this and I had to steal a bite for the sake of the review, obviously. It's an Italian sandwich that uses their pizza crust as the bread. I love their thinner style, slightly charred crust and I love the flavor mixtures in that sandwich so it was a great combo. It could use more of everything in the sandwich so that its heftier, but the flavor didn't disappoint at all. Another coworker of mine ordered the Wilson pizza. Don't worry, I stole a bite of theirs too. For the sake of the review... Not bad, just not my favorite. It was a little bland compared to their other pizzas. Then I came her again and had their BBQ pork sandwich. The flavor was intense in a good way, but because it is such a rich, sweet bbq flavor I couldn't finish it all. Kind of like dessert, you know, where you want to keep eating but it's just too rich for one sitting. The first time I came here it was about 2 weeks after opening and I was sorely disappointed because I was comparing them to their counterpart Flying Goat, which I love, and it paled in comparison. I am happy I finally gave them another shot, though! They have made me a believer after the next few times I've been and I will be returning soon to try another new pizza flavor. read more

Came in late about 1030pm hungry. Just got into town and wanted to grab a quick bite before going to sleep. Looking over the menu, they had some amazing sounding combinations! I settled on one with brussel sprouts and prosciutto I believe it was, with a garlic white sauce. I took the pizza to go, which is a big No-No for the thin-crust Napoleon style. You should usually eat those fresh right out of the oven, but my son was asleep in the car. After we got to our place, I took my first bite and it was still pretty amazing! The brussel sprouts have been fried, and although a little greasy, they had an amazing crunch to them. I don't think I've ever had brussel sprouts like that, but it was pretty similar to a fresh kale chip. No bitterness at all! The sauce was very light with the perfect amount of flavor. I don't remember much, but I know I scarfed down five slices of it in a few minutes Kama it was that good! Coming from the Seattle area, there are tons of restaurants out here , each competing with the next I would say Republic pi has got to be one of the top places I've had pizza and only wish we had one over here! read more

Would never waste my money here again, if there was a no star option they would get it, horrible service. We waited 20 min to get our servers attention. Went here Friday with friends. We sat out at the patio and ordered the Pi bites, and two pizzas. Pi bites were out of this world, pizza was good, and service fantastic. Fantastic Pizza from here! We have had nothing but great pizza and beer here. Usually we get the Wai-kiki and the Dalton. When we had friends visiting from CA they were hesitant to try the Dalton w/ BBQ pulled pork and coleslaw but after the first bite my two buddies finished the entire pizza. The Pi-bites and cheese sauce is super addictive as well. They have a really good deal on Tuesdays. We also have taken our office team here a few times, and ordered pizzas for pickup. Right in our neighborhood and a favorite place to eat. I love the Cobb salad. If I may suggest, have it without the palmetto olives. I also enjoy the various pizzas. The kids often order a pepperoni and I steal a slice. They also have a fun drink selection, great beers on tap and cider I guess. Enough with the cider everyone! They used to do carry out but last I checked they close that down at 5pm. Definitely grab lunch or dinner here if you live in the hood or just wish you did. read more

Pretty good pizza, but small and very slim on the toppings. I don't think they have a pizza there that weighs more than a pound including the box haha. Seriously the 2 times I tried it I got my pizza box and swore it was empty. Got their brussel sprout pizza and it prolly had half a brussel sprout on it. The grand wasn't much more grand. Tasty pizzas but even for $10/per on tuesday it's not worth it. I think they use a bought crust? Not sure. it's fine, but considering they're thin crust and so light on toppings I'd expect a knockout crust. read more

My husband and I spent the day moving so we thought we would grab a pizza to go and have a beer while waiting for it to be cooked. We walked in, were rudely greeted, and were told we would have to sit outside while waiting. We ordered our pizza told the hostess we would sit and wait for it. We sat outside for about 5 minutes and because we were cold, we asked if we could sit inside as there were many available seats by the door. Suddenly, we were told that sitting by the door was what most people usually do while waiting. I am not sure why we weren't told that when we first arrived. After waiting over 45 minutes for the pizza, my husband checked on our pizza. The hostess immediately grabbed a box that had been sitting under the warmer for 15 minutes. When asked why she didn't tell us it was ready she said she didn't realize it was ours. We were the only people waiting for a pizza! She apologized and offered to have the kitchen make us another one. We declined as we were hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. When we got home, it's no surprise that our pizza was cold. I am not sure how we would rate the food but the woman at the reception area was rude, uninterested in giving good service, and made us feel unwelcome. I wish I hadn't left a tip when we ordered. read more

Two stars because the food is very good here. Me and my friends like the restaurant, and like the food. But after 3 times of us being ignored and then having to deal with the most socially awkward bartenders and servers we decided not to go back. Totally incapable of making those wonderful, well-informed, "yeah, I've tasted this menu or bar item and it sounds like exactly what you want" suggestions we appreciate so much at other places. Update-I just got done eating at republic pi again. This time I was greeted immediately and seated. I was served water right away and my waitress greeted me in under 3 mins. I was kind of a pain in the butt because I'm a vegetarian and had to ask some questions about the menu. Kimmy answered my questions patiently and took the time to recommend options for me. I watched her greet all her guest promptly and with a smile on her face. My food was delicious as always and tasted that much better when I was treated nicely.
