Stopped at Rescate Coffee for the first time. I was in the area getting gas and was excited to see a local coffee shop close by that wasn't Starbucks. I usually always get a latte but saw they had a snickerdoodle latte and had to try it as I'm a huge fan of snickerdoodle cookies. I was nervous and hoping my drink wouldn't be super sweet and I was so happy to take the first sip and taste beautiful classic snickerdoodle notes without it being syrupy and sweet. It tasted so comforting and delicious. I also opted to get a blueberry scone and it was a bit sweet for my palate but still super tasty. Service was also great. They were friendly and welcoming. 10/10 experience!

Quick and easy to order. Not too busy inside so there were open spots to sit and do work. Clean and relaxing. I recommend this spot if you need a small, quiet place to study. Coffee was good.

Amazing spot, nice and comfy. It's a very cozy spot. You can't sit outside but right now it's a little chilly but they do have a couple of plush seating tables. The coffee is really good. I had a croissant with bacon and cheese. That was really good so if you're in the elk Grove area, please come check out this spot. It's so cute and quaint and the service is amazing like absolutely amazing everybody smiling cracking jokes just reliably during the weekday I may come back to work.

I have been passing this place for a number of months now and I finally came out last Friday with one of my friends. Immediately when we walked in, we were graded. It was pretty busy in there so there was really nowhere to sit inside, but we were accommodated with the outdoor seating. I can definitely see myself coming back to this place because it's so warm and cozy and I can tell that it's an environment that I would just love to just sit and sip a cup of coffee alone or even have a friend or two join me. During this trip, I had a snickerdoodle latte and a bacon Jalapeño croissant. Delicious is an understatement! I think next visit I'm going to dare only try the Vietnamese coffee. My barista already told me that it is going to pack a powerful punch lol

This is such a cutesies cafe to grab a cup of joe and studying/work. The space is very clean, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and the music adds a homey atmosphere. All of the wood in and around the store really creates the vibe of a cozy cabin. There's also plenty of seating outside to embrace the fresh air and it's a bit quieter since it's away from the coffee machine and music. The baristas are very attentive and friendly. They are great at giving suggestions and accommodating customers' preferences. Drinks are made very quickly. Immediately noticed how busy they were, however, it was never uncomfortably packed. A lot of service workers nearby came in and out for a quick cup of coffee. I love how regulars are greeted by name. Online orders are prepared swiftly and almost always ready for pickup, impressive. The drink I tried is called the Xocolatl Cereza which is essentially a Cherry Mocha. It is served iced, which I mention because at this cafe certain drinks ONLY come iced or hot. Anyways, the cherry flavor is very intense and tastes really artificial. The espresso is strong and the chocolate flavor in the mocha is balanced. Very interesting drink, I enjoyed it, but I would not get it again. They also offer a wide variety of pastries and even savory foods that can fill you up like sandwiches. The strawberry cream croissant was yummy! Not too sweet, buttery and flaky! Perfect snack to pair with my coffee as I got some work done. I definitely want to come back for the vibes and to try more coffee drinks!! The only reason why I am leaving a 4 star review is because two baristas were flirting profusely, touchy PDA, and cussing loudly-- Obviously, I tried to ignore it. But as the behavior progressed, I decided to leave as did a few other customers near me. Other than the disruption, great visit!!

Congrats on 10 years! When I lived in Elk Grove, Rescate was my go-to coffee place. I haven't been there for over 5 years, but came in today because I was in the area. Same great coffee and really friendly atmosphere! Great to see they expanded their menu since the last time I came in and they still serve my favorite drink, the Monkey Mocha which is a mocha with a banana flavor!

Iced snickerdoodle (latte) & iced strawberry rose mocha (May special)

4-ish stars rounded up. Alright brew taste in terms of smoothness but still solid drinks that are on the strong side. Good vibes from the staff here! - Strawberry rose mocha (May special): much more decadent than expected even for mocha standards lol but not bad at all! No skimping on the flavorings including the added sugar; it tasted just like a strawberry cream chocolate from See's Candies but with dark chocolate. Definitely a dessert-y pick-me-up. - Snickerdoodle (latte): eh, pretty much tasted like a vanilla latte; could've had more cinnamon presence. Cranberry nut muffin was pillow-soft. Coffee cake scone was also tasty but I wished that it was a bit heartier and more buttery. Very friendly staff! Also quite refreshing to see good camaraderie between staff members at a coffee shop. Cozy interior to match. Most of the parking spots out front were occupied by patrons of neighboring businesses, but drive further into this small plaza and you'll find more available spots!

This place is more than a beautiful local coffee shop!! This place became my second home. In May 2025, I walked into Rescate for the first time to study for my MCAT. I was dealing with terrible allergies, stressed out, exhausted, and honestly doubting myself every day. As a first-generation college student navigating this exam on my own, the pressure felt overwhelming. I spent nearly every day at this café during the month leading up to my exam. One day, the owner noticed I was falling asleep while studying. Anthony came over and offered me a coffee just to help me get through the day. From that point on, Anthony and Brenda constantly encouraged me and supported me throughout my journey! They showed me so much love, kindness, and consistency during a time when I truly needed it! Going into the exam, I struggled with major imposter syndrome and genuinely didn't believe I would do well. However, the day before, Brenda and Anthony created a gift basket with encouraging notes and snacks. Little did they know, that basket and their kind words gave me the courage to walk into that exam room the following day. Some coffee shops sell coffee. Places like Rescate offer love and care to their customers!!They are more than a coffee shop. Fast forward to today, I will be attending the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA! This could not have been possible without the love and support of Anthony, Brenda, and Dr. Andrea Casillas. Sí se puede. ¡Gracias, Rescate, para todos!

Food at a coffee house not so great! Avacado toast with bacon was disappointing. It was supposed to have cucumbers, but they ran out. Avacado was a smeared version instead of sliced avacados. Halfed cherry tomatoes placed on top. It was one slice of untoasted sour dough bread. Service- place your order at the counter and boxed meal brought to table. Ambiance- very small place that was filled with lots of comfy sitting areas inside and some tables outside. Most indoor spots were taken with people sipping their coffee and on their laptops or phones.

I've driven by this shop many times but didn't stop in til today. The specialty drinks menu has some crafty drinks. I ordered a large Zoot Suit (Mexican chocolate/white chocolate). First sip was a bit sweet, but a couple of sips later, I think it was just perfect. Staff very friendly. Brought drink out to me. Staff are very accommodating, asked another customer if temperature of drink was hot enough. I stopped in at 4:30 on a Tuesday. Good traffic still even though it was close to closing time. Lots of seating arrangements. I sat on the couch by the Christmas tree. Very comfortable. Good background music. Looking forward to trying other drinks/food.

I admit I am one of those complicated customers with detailed coffee drinks...and they accommodated my ass without any attitude whatsoever! The owner was super nice, informative, and just gave us awesome service. The coffee is great! They roast their own and kudos on using Ghirardelli for our white mocha with quad shots...I'm awake now!!!! Will definitely be back next time we're in the area. PS. I got their hummus crunchy veggy burrito and it was delicious. The one thing is you can't customize you order (i.e. no onions is what I wanted) but this is definitely somewhere I see myself coming more often. Loved that they do have dairy alternatives for latte drinks. I got their honey bear latte with almond milk and it was delish aswell. Price was not bad either; it's like anyother coffee place I've gone to. read more

This a great local coffee shop and conveniently located near the freeway for a coffee fix before hitting the road. The staff is so amazing! The owner Ladd is very friendly. Pros: Clean, community focus, great drinks Cons: Small, loud, nothing extraordinary that demands my unwavering patronage This is a small, local coffee shop in the corner suite of a newer shopping strip. The perfect place to pause for a few moments while sipping on some coffee and catching up with whatever you've been working on. I personally prefer a little extra shoulder room, so I found the seating to be cramped and the commotion a bit distracting. I enjoyed my beverage and the service, though, which means I will gladly go back if Rescate is in my path. Not a place I would go out of my way for, though. read more

Great coffee! And I love that they carry gluten free pastries from Pushkins! What a treat! Plus they carry kid size beverages, my kids love the hot chocolate. They make it just right for the kids, not too hot so they able to drink it right away. I got the honey bear latte, classic! I come to this place after work on fridays a lot of the time during the summer and I like the white mocha the best. When I wanna be less fat though I get the iced tea (green pomegranate is good) unsweetened or an iced americano. I really like coffee and this place does it right. Great coffee.. but can be a real pocket killer if your a coffee drinker.. I got the Mayan Mocha.. it has a real strong kick to the back of the throat with it's habanero spice... So if you don't like a little heat definitely don't get this.. over all keep it up!! Awesome place to study and drink coffee. read more

When we arrived at noon they had run out of their breakfast veggie burritos but the guy creatively rustled up a delicious egg and cheese croissant for us that was delicious. I LOVE the Rescate decor including comfy chairs and industrial style tables. Great coffee too. (None of that sour taste you get when a coffee shop fails to clean their equipment properly.) Super nice, helpful, friendly and informative baristas. Good amount of seating and not too packed so pretty easy to get a good little spot to do your thing. First got the matcha tea latte and it wasn't my favorite. I had been warned that it was earthy but I hadn't expected it to be as earthy as it was. It wasn't bad, just not what I was in the mood for. Then I got a chai latte and it was delish! So yummy and sweet and comforting. I'll definitely be back to try the white mocha next time. read more

I come into this coffee shop usually every other morning before work! I have to say that I'm always greeted with a smile and the owners are so nice, they know my order right away when I get in (a medium tuxedo mocha ). To top it all off, this place is dog friendly! They even gave my dog a treat when we were waiting in line, if you're sick of the Starbucks train, then get on board with Rescate, I love this spot :) read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Elk Grove! The environment is so welcoming the owners are so knowledgeable about coffee and even offered tours about where there coffee came from. The drinks are delicious and offer a lot of variety of coffee around the world. There horchata and Vietnamese drinks are delicious. I brought my friend's dog in and the owner welcomed him in with a treat. Dog friendly for dogs and gluten free is a huge plus! What a great small business in Elk Grove! The atmosphere is as warm and cozy as the staff is friendly and positive. Our Barista Cyrise greeted us with a wave and a smile, I bought the holiday coffee that she suggested and it was absolutely wonderful! The fact that this shop roasts their own beans makes the coffee wonderfully fresh and tasty, I will take the "long way" to work just to stop in and have one of the holiday flavored coffees! It's worth it!, I could stop for coffee at one of the "the other coffee guys" that are on every corner but this little shop is like a warm hug and the fact that they are dog lovers makes it even more appealing!. read more

Pros- Local coffee shop with locally baked pastries and non-SB beans, cute sweet drinks, sweet workers, study space equipped with outlets/tables/armchairs, same indie station every time, clean bathrooms Not as pro: I should try asking for no ice... For atmosphere, this place is comfortable-- kind staff, spacious, a reading nook, and all in the name of a good cause! Kind of makes you forget that you're in a lil strip wedged between a gas station and the I-5. Nice! :') As drink choices, I've frequented the iced coffee and cold brew. Maybe it is the flavor of the ice water that melts into the coffee? Maybe it's the acidity that my unrefined palate cannot yet appreciate? Something always tastes a little bit off. It's okay I guess, caffeine is caffeine. And punch card points are punch card points... (10=free drink) Friends have enjoyed the iced versions of the matcha latte and honeybear latte, though the drink is usually over too quickly because of all the ice. Visiting from out of town, Rescate Coffee came highly recommended so of course we had to check it out. The husband and I both got the Mayan Mocha - can't resist that classic flavor combo when we see it - and it did not disappoint! He really liked his chorizo breakfast burrito and I was quite pleased with the gluten free baked goods options. The blueberry coffee cake was tasty. This is one of my favorite coffee places now! When I got in I wasn't sure what I wanted to order and they pointed me towards their specialties. I had the Mayan and I couldn't of been happier. I'm also a black coffee guy and their brew is incredible! The customer service is killer also! Not a long wait and most of the time they bring you your coffee! They have a very personable staffing. It was such a good experience the first time that I brought my friends and now they are regulars! On top of everything it's also great to know its going to a good cause as well. They let me know a portions of the proceeds go to animal organizations or charities! It's a nice comfortable hangout and I've been there once when a local band played some of their stuff! I genuinely wanted to like this place, especially since there aren't many café options in Elk Grove. The only things I appreciated were the study space and the printing machine. However, the drinks were disappointing. The Horchata coffee tasted like an iced Americano with a hint of cinnamon, and the iced tea seemed like ice water with a faint flavor. Even the black coffee was very watered down. When I tried to give feedback to who I believe was the manager or owner, it wasn't well-received. That's why I'm giving this place two stars. It's crucial to listen to customers, especially when spending hard-earned money. If I'm paying close to $10 for a drink, I expect it to taste good. read more

I regret visiting here at Rescate Coffee, 2475 Elk Grove Blvd., Suite 160, in Elk Grove, had nine violations this month. On Friday, Oct. 3, I learned from SacBee that Health inspectors shut down the Elk Grove coffee shop after finding a dead mouse on a glue trap below a storage rack. There were 130 mice droppings throughout the facility, including in the warewashing area, ladder and the hallway to the restroom. read more

I used come here 20/30 days out of month. However I will not be returning ever again due to the owners disgusting attitude with ME as a customer and the way he was speaking to his employees. I highly don't recommend supporting this small business at all. I'm surprised no employees have filed lawsuits. read more

Smells really good coffee as you come in! It brings a really relaxing vibe and great ambiance. They have great staff, too. They have a variety of coffee flavors both for warm and cold. I love mocha and that's what I got. Their prices are a bit costly though. But it's defnly worth it! read more

I was so pleased to see the plethora of goodies offered here cupcakes to breakfast burritos it doesn't get better than this ! Defiantly my new favorite coffee spot ! keep up the good work , Elk Grove could use more businesses like this. read more

When I have to go to my grandma's house me,my sister,and my dad go to the rescate shop and buy hot chocolate or a muffin and I love it. Ladd is very nice. Anthony is funny. read more
