2020 Update 2: - The company reached out and reimbursed me some money to make up for the less that great experience the second time around. Given that my first experience with them was great, I'm going to assume this was just a one-off hiccup. 2020 Update: - Requested two movers for my one bedroom apt, was confirmed two and a truck for $89 four days in advance of my move date. I then received three because that was the only team nearby. Was charged an extra $15 an hour for it. I guess I could have refused and not moved even though it was my last day in my old apartment. I felt pressured to accept because I couldn't find another mover company within the hour. - The movers did not wear masks, despite Covid19 fears. Not even while interacting with me, when I was dealing with paperwork. I was very uncomfortable with that and called management but it made no difference. - They took longer with three people than they took two years ago with two people. Same furniture. This time I moved a block away, I had already taken a lot of my own boxes to my new apartment and last time two years ago, I moved 3 miles away and hadn't taken anything myself and had only two workers. - They pressure you into writing a positive review. When I said I had already written one, I was asked for a review on Google instead. It's one thing to mention it and ask the client to review you if they were happy with the service, it's another to keep asking and to request they do it on the spot. - They didn't have change so I had to tip $100. I not only had to tip 3 people instead of 2, but was told $20 tip each was too little and that the previous client had tipped them $100. Horrible experience with the movers. The move took almost 7 hours as the movers were extremely slow, complained about my furniture being heavy, took multiple breaks throughout, complained about being tired at the end, never broke a sweat, and still didn't move everything. I asked for them to do a second trip to get everything out of my old place so I wouldn't have to go back the next day to get smaller things, but I was told it would be cheaper to do it myself. Ha! I already had my TV box and yet the movers didn't pack my TV in it, but just taped (a little) a blanket around it. I helped them take my bed apart as much as I could, then reprimanded when I took the bed frame apart too much. So the movers put it back together, but then later had to undo it anyway, because it couldn't be moved put together. Lol totally not making this up. I thought I was hiring professional movers, but unfortunately that's not what I got. I had to do 4 separate trips in my little car to get the rest of my belongings. My furniture was just plopped down in my new place and I had to ask for them to arrange it as it was too heavy for me to do it. I had to specifically ask for the screws for my vanity they had put in their toolbox and was going to leave with my screws! I told the movers my drawers didn't come out, but they still tried to pull them out and managed to force one out that I had to later fix. I have a very expensive vanity and they ripped the wires that were connected to the touch light switch. So now I can only turn on the lights on my vanity from the broken wire on the back. The touch light button was pulled out and I can't screw it back on. Now it just hangs out. Oh and PPE? They had on a paper mask and that was it. They left their trash in my place for me to clean up. They were cordial, but had nonchalant attitudes and clearly didn't want to be there. I had boxes (I bought) left over and they made it seem like they were doing me a favor when they kept them even after telling me the truck had been cleared out. Even with all of this, I tipped them $20 each and they weren't going to say thank you until I mentioned the tip. Mind you, my ex husband and his friend (lives out of state) did this move for me in less than 4 hours. These guys were not professional and the laziest people I had ever dealt with. Good luck! UPDATE: I spoke with both Ali and Bob who asked to "resolve" the issues. They confirmed they received my text message the night of the move asking for assistance due to the very slow movers. I also called. No one called me back or followed up until after I posted my honest review of my personal experience with the company. I was offered half off my move IF I take my review down. I was also told one of the movers was let go. After I refused to take my review down and only update it to document their efforts, I was accused of "defaming" their company and questioned why I gave even any tip for bad service! Bob then defended the movers by saying they were probably tired as it was the second job of the day and I booked them just the day before and if they had moved me in the morning it would've gone better. Wow. Then I was also accused of lying about giving a tip at all. I tipped them because that's what I do even when someone doesn't deserve it. I have continually been harassed by this company for posting an HONEST REVIEW!!! They even called me at work. I wasn't even going to post a review at all, but just take the loss. Reviews are very important to me when choosing a business and would rather take the loss than to keep quiet about my experience and have this happen to someone else. If they really wanted to make things right, they would've followed up with me before posting a review which would've prevented all of this. Extort money?? What discount? Nothing was given. This is not about money, because if it was I would've accepted your half off offer and taken down down my honest review as I'm sure others have done. Believe what you want. Good luck. read more

They moved us about a month ago (July 2018). One of the biggest reasons we hired them was to move our spa and large items, which we ended up moving the spa by ourselves. So far, we have cleared everything that was in the house when they left LATE that night. Finding bottles of soap, shampoo, etc, in with towels, sheets, and clothes. Some of those were filled before they showed up, and we're finding them EMPTY in the boxes. A cedar chest that I had picked up while I was overseas was broken. Found a couple broken snow globes. They packed KEYS for the house that we were leaving, without notifying nor asking. They packed up the drain stoppers for both tubs, from previous house. I may write another review after we finish going through everything. Decided to edit my review of their service instead. Every box that we open we find more and more damaged items, and that each box looks like things were just dumped into the box. We still haven't found a few things, and we've gone through most of the boxes. read more

Our storage was on the second floor all the way to the back of the facility (almost the size of a Costco with only one entrance and exit), and our apartment was all the way in the back of the property), and they still got the job done quickly. Had a really terrible experience with these movers. They were supposed to arrive between 8-10, but I had to call to get them out there by 10:30. Not a huge deal, but this was just the start. Prior to the move, I had removed everything from the drawers and shelves, and had moved most of the boxes, all the clothing, etc. to the new place myself in order to make sure this went quickly. It didn't. It was a 1-bedroom apartment, and it took them 4 hours to load up a bed, a couch, 4 bookshelves, 2 dressers, 2 desks, and 11 boxes. Most of this time was them slowly wrapping everything with plastic wrap "to make sure nothing got scratched" (they still managed to scuff up the new walls, and leave a dent in the middle of our dresser drawer, so this huge time-waster wasn't even that effective). I also had to follow behind them, picking up random pieces of bookshelves and the like that they would accidentally drop and leave on the ground. After the four-hour loading time and late start, they wanted to take a lunch break. I was already frustrated at the time, so they decided to just take a "water break" at the gas station, which, of course, was still included in the total time. Unloading at the new place "only" took 2 hours, mostly because I unloaded half the truck myself, and they left all the plastic wrap on for me to remove and clean up myself. When I went back to the old place, I also realized they had left 4 empty spools from tape, and 2 empty spools from plastic wrap for me to clean up. It took a total of 6.5 hours to move a (partially pre-emptied) 1-bedroom apartment. I called the next day to report my frustration, and was told I would be contacted the following day. I waited for the return call for 4 days before writing this review. read more

I'm quite happy to leave this review as I know I couldn't have completed my move without the help of the pros. Due to some serious issues in our apartment building, we had to completely move out of our home of 20 years quick, fast and in a hurry. With just 3 days to pack, move and be out, respect movers REALLY saved us. I called and spoke with Saida to book my moving time but she completely fumbled my appointment and didn't schedule me after having taken my deposit. I don't have much respect for people who make mistakes and hide instead of correcting them, so I'd recommend speaking to someone else who can make themselves responsible for your move. A gentleman there rectified the whole situation Saida created that delayed us by a whole day which was precious time lost. It was possibly the worst time in our lives to make this kind of mistake and then refuse to speak to me about it. I'll chalk it up to mercury retrograde this time. Luckily, the other gentleman there covered it completely. He was very understanding and moved what he had to in order to get me in for the next day. I appreciated that so much as I knew we weren't going to be able to get anyone else on such short notice. He ensured me I was in good hands and I placed my trust in his words. The movers came the next day ready to get it DONE! Marvin and two other movers came and handled our apartment with great care, clarity in communication and a respect for our personal belongings. All three guys were busting their hump to get it done and they made the impossible possible so we could get our furniture through the difficult staircases and through our unusually narrow door opening. They came with tools to take apart our bed frames, remove the front door to get our stuff through and they were wonderful about putting everything back. They took direction very well and didn't mind any of my nitpicking about where exactly to place things. Their patience with me, as a crazy lady running around scrambling to get things done, was endless and very appreciated. If I had the option to go back in time and replace the other movers I hired over the years for these guys, I would. They just worked and worked until it was done AND we were satisfied. It was a LOT of work for 3 days time and without their help, we'd be so deep in the crap heap it's not even funny. It did cost us a pretty penny but for the work they did and as quickly and efficiently as they did it, it was worth every penny. The peace of mind that came after they moved us was so worth it! This is a late review. They were able to get on time within the the window period set for my appointment. I was worried they will not be able to finish but I was wrong.
