Located in the same parking lot as Betuccini's Pizzeria & Trattoria, this steakhouse is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has an extensive menu and a large dining area that is sectioned off in "corrals". It is an old western, charro decor complete with saddles and split rail fencing inside. The bar is only about 4 seats wide and has a table for those who wish to eat in the bar. As you walk through the building, it is hard not to notice the tons of firewood stacked everywhere that is destined to be used to cook your meal. In sampling the new operations menu, we found that the best pick was the Prime Rib which even at $20 after the peso exchange rate was a damn good meal. Dinner comes with excellent chips and some great salsas, a fresh, cold salad, your entree with baked potato and some beans straight from the pot. English is really not spoken by the staff, so it would help if you boned up on your restaurant Spanglish. The exchange rate offered by the restaurant was quite low, so pack a few pesos before going here. HIPSTER WARNING - NO CREDIT CARDS. Even though the place is named Angus Beef, most of the cuts (except the Prime Rib) are nowhere near prime or even choice. The atmosphere gets a 5 for sure- the rustic decor and intimate ambiance was really great. But the service was hit or miss. The service was really great at first, but then my waiter disappeared forever. When I finished eating, he passed me like 5 times making eye contact each time but never stopped to see if I needed anything. I would have ordered dessert, but instead I went to the front desk to chase down a different waiter (mine was nowhere to be seen) To get my check. And the food gets a 2-3. The steak was severely undercooked, the baked potato was very small, and the sangria was from a mix and had no fruit in it. The guacamole and cheese appetizer was very good though. I came here for my red hat hatuation. I went from a pink hat to a red hat. A pink hat means you're under 50. I turned 50 on July 4th. The atmosphere is just like being at a ranch house down on the range. The servers immediately took to my puppies and welcomed them in. I ordered a margarita...meh. I ordered L.A. We ate at Angus beef last year and the food what's pretty good, move forward to 2019 September 16th food totally awful. They had a special top sirloin plate serves 2 to 4 for the small one. We chose the meium because there were three of us. The amount of consumable meat on the plate equated to enough for maybe two people. What they called top sirloin was thinly sliced skirt steak with bone in which consumed almost all of the meat and big hunks of fat. By far one of the worst meals I've had in Mexico in recent recollections. I would not recommend even looking at the sign as you drive by. read more

If I could give this place a "zero" I totally would. We try this for breakfast... we ordered a #4 New York, a chicharrón con salsa verde, chilaquiles verdes. Even the coffee and the licuados were bad. The chips were from another day... when I asked if they could bring us fresh ones they said they were waiting for the new chips.... the chips never came. So they lied... ??? one order was scrambled eggs with onions. They interchange the order and they asked if we just wanted them to move them from one plate to another.... right in front of us... because we looked at them funny they offered to bring a side of eggs. Orange juice is good that's about it. Ordered my food and came in portions. Got there before anyone else and people started arriving so they forgot about the rest of our order and started focusing on the buffet. My family and I enjoyed our experience at this restaurant very much. The ambiance is lovely, with a cozy feel, fire place, open kitchen where patrons can view the cooking processes (particularly interesting in a smokehouse/BBQ). The staff is friendly and attentive, and accommodating to families with small children. Everyone enjoyed their meals and were pleased with the portion sizes. I had the Marequetengue Bronco, an absolutely delicious stew with savory broth, beans, and brisket. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that some of the meat was super tender but the majority of pieces were less so. I would still gladly go back and enjoy that dish! read more

Amazing! We had the parrillada for 4 hungry big eaters and still had food left. Quite possibly the best steak I have ever eaten. And definitely the best flan. All at a great price. If this place are close to my house I would be obese :-P read more

I went a few times and plan to go back. The combinations are good at great prices, I had the NY strip & eggs platter. The green enchiladas with chicken were tasty.
