First time stopping in here as I was down in Bell on business... what a nice menu with everything affordable and sounding delicious. They have a great breakfast menu I just missed but, for $2 more, it was still available. It was just becoming lunch time so I opted to go with the Enchilada Verde w Chicken, Rice & Beans ($11.99). Everything is made to order here so it takes a few minutes to arrive but that's ok as I have some of their freshly made chips and salsa to hold me over: great chips and so-so salsa (a little loose for my taste). Chips 8/10. Salsa 5/10. The plate arrives and is visually appealing enough. I scarf it down and am not sure if I was so hungry or that the servings are a little small here or both, lol. It's a good lunch though, with the verde sauce being standout and the grilled chicken inside the two small enchiladas being well cooked and seasoned lightly. 7.5 / 10 I asked for a side of the poblano mole sauce to try as it is their specialty and it is EXCELLENT. Like the best I can remember trying. It's a rich, dark brown color, velvety textured molé, less viscous than many I've had, and on the sweeter side with only a hint of smokiness... terrific. 9/10 I'd come here again when in the neighborhood... and eat that molé out of an old shoe if it was all that was available. read more

It came with beans and rice and both were very tasty. The cafe de olla was spot on! They allow you one refill, which is just right for those that like that extra cup with breakfast. Food came it out quickly and hot. The place is a small hole in the wall joint and can be relatively missed between all the industrial buildings around it. Definitely a place you should try. This review is for service experienced a few months ago, but the memory still stings. That's how I know it was a really bad experience. My mom asked if a certain dish could be made without chicken - we both don't eat meat. The young female server said "yes", and my mom said "oh, then I'll have that but no chicken". When her plate came she took one bite and realized there was chicken. We called the young lady over to let her know there had been an error. She insisted my mom ordered the chicken. After reminding her of the conversation when we ordered she goes on to say that she's "well she's already eaten it" - when my mom only took one bite and spit it right out. My family got the Jamaica w strawberry and the cafe the holla. So great start with the drinks. For Apps we had the Empanada topped w cebolla curtida, there's one with chorizo, one w flor de calabaza and the last one with smut. Delicious! The Guacamole was fresh and light. The main meal we had the Enfrijoladas that come w a slice of carne asada. BOMB. The Mole poblano, scrumptious, taco de pollo. Beautiful. Everything was plated nicely. Lots of people said "this place is a hidden gem" and it actually is. I got the enmoladas poblanas and they were so good. My husband got the filet mignon in mole verde and 2 tacos cochinita pibil and he enjoyed it all and my father in law got the pork filet in mole poblano and he said he gave it a 5 out of 5. I got a sweet tamal (pineapple) and that was pretty good but the tamal with pork was a little on the dryer side. All my life I have been eating Mexican cuisine from different parts of Mexico thanks to my parents and especially my grandmother who introduce us to mole and indigenous food of Mexico. My wife and I like to go to different Mexican restaurants and try their cuisine. Many of the restaurants have different version of Mexican classic or something new and different I was craving something different and I haven't it for a long that was molé, I check on my Yelp to find a restaurant nearby that serve good molé and Mexican food. Then I found this good Mexican restaurant that serve mole and other Mexican cuisine from Mexico. The restaurant is called Restaurants Mole De Reyes in the city of Maywood. We headed to Maywood to the restaurant to try out some good mole. When we arrive at the restaurant we got seated right away and owner came hand out the menu then he brought chip and salsa, we know the chips were cook fresh. Then we order a small goamole it was good. We order our drinks we both got agua fresa. My order hochata drink and I order a hibiscus with strawberry drink. Both drinks were so good. The waitress brought us our meal I couldn't believe our meals looks so good. I took a bite marinated pork it was incredible good full of flavor in the pork and bean and rice were very delicious. By the way it comes with hand made corn tortillas. I really enjoy my meal. My wife enjoy her enchilada with mole she love I took a bite it was really good I enjoy it. This is a fantastic little restaurant in the heart of Bell. You must ask for the tres moles plate as it is not on the menu, but it is a must have. It's like eating your abuelitas mole if she took cooking classes. Do not miss this place if you live in the 710 corridor and if not, make the drive. What about the Reina Azteca Soup?! Never had this before and it was a fave. From the description and pics I thought it was going to be more of a creamy stew. Instead it was lighter which I loved. I was excited that I was able to finally dine in with the family. It's a small place, where we could hardly move or even walk. There is only one waitress taking orders. My husband is a mole lover! Unfortunately this didn't meet his expectations. He order pork with there famous mole they have, the meat he had was too hard, he couldn't even cut it. The tortillas we had were to greasy and undercooked, Yuck! I order a vegetarian dish and that too was too greasy! Veggies shouldn't have an excessive amount of oil.
