The place where the caesar salad was born, and that is of course what you need to order, they prepare the dressing right in front of you, showing you all the ingredients and how they mix them up to creat the most delicious Caesar salad dressing you will try in your life, I almost want to take what's left in the bowl. The house wine is good, and the rest of the food is delicious, everything has a nice ring to it, but if there's something I have to recommend for the main course is almost any meat they have here, they are so juicy. I go here once or twice per trip when I stay in Tijuana. The food is excellent. The vibe is amazing, and the other customers, the Mexican customers, will probably be dressed better than you. It is a nice crowd. The most sinful food I can think of there is the bacon wrapped shrimp. Whew, man it is delicious. Sadly, I am not much of a salad guy, so I haven't tried their Caesers salad yet. I noticed something different when I was there last week. I went twice actually. They got rid of the big Eagle Expresso machine thingy. My friend and I were visiting San Diego over Labor Day weekend and we couldn't resist visiting Tijuana for a day. After walking around the central district (which is basically just dentists and pharmacies, am I right?) we were peckish for lunch. We had a few restaurants in mind, but for whatever reason (because it was Sunday?), nothing was open until 1pm but we wanted a meal sooner. We happened across Caesar's and were very happy that we did. We scored a nice window seat in the front. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We order six small plates -- serrano ham, gamba al ajillo, hongos rellenos, tortilla espanola, garlic bread, and potatoes bravas. This, along with our margaritas, was the PERFECT amount of food. All the dishes were gorgeous and delicious - please see my pics of five of the six dishes and both margaritas. I don't think I can really pick a favorite, they were all stellar, though I guess when push comes to shove the garlic bread was kinda run-of-the-mill. But everything else was an A or A- for us. For the size and quality of this meal, we would have undoubtedly paid $65 (plus tax and tip) back home in San Francisco. But our bill here was closer to $30. Can't complain about that. Currently my fav spot in Tijuana. The Caesar salad made fresh at your table is an absolute must and is the crown jewel of this restaurant. We ordered the bone marrow and octopus appetizers and they were delish! I ordered the Beef Wellington and I can say that I liked it better than the one I had a Gordon Ramsey's famous restaurant in Vegas. As for adult beverages, I highly recommend the Tamarind Martini, they are just so yummy. I recommend making a reservation, otherwise on a Saturday plan on waiting at least an hour. We were so stuffed we didn't have room for dessert. I can't wait to go back again, which we will probably be tonight. We plan to order just a bunch of dishes to share with our group. Great classic Italian style restaurant. Really enjoyed the flavors of the tapenade spread they offer with the bread, which was unusual but had a salty olive flavor. Then tried the Caesar salad which they invented and made table side. Then my wife had the beef milanesa with mashed potatoes (which was excellent). I had the 4 cheese raviolis, which had an odd sour flavor that was not my favorite. But the wait staff was very friendly and professional and overall, the restaurant is one of the best we have visited in Tijuana. read more

We called to make a reservation but they were filled up for the day, so we decided to be walk ins and try our luck and we were not disappointed. We ordered two small Cesar salads (table service included, freaking awesome!), two seafood tapas (grilled octopus was to die for: the paellita was a little overrated), French onion soup and beef Wellington. The check was less than $40 for all of it! Definitely gonna have to do that again. Everything was delicious. The place is very upscale and super clean, and was playing some nice jazz music in the background. Staff was super courteous. Some spoke a bit of English, others didn't. Excellent lunch shortly after arriving in Tijuana. We had two Caesar salads, prepared at the table. We also tried several of the tapas dishes - octopus, chorizo, gambas and garlic bread.
