This is our go to Happy Hour spot! Easy to park as there are a couple structures in Downtown Brea! Bar area is nice with a good amount of seating. Bartenders are always great and pour great drinks! We usually order a round of Vanilla Old Fashioned drinks as they used Makers 46! Then I usually can't help myself and order their Espressotini for dessert. The pretzel is always delicious and a large serving for two! Then we order the mini poke tacos as those are great bite sized appetizers! You have to try them as I don't believe they have them on the main menu. Great atmosphere as they do have a couple TVs on with games, mood lighting, etc. Then after you can take a walk downtown! Nice place to dine on a Sunday afternoon in Old Town Brea. The Dad's Ribeye was so tender and juicy. The Prime Flat Iron Steak compliments its pairing with bleu cheese mashed and asparagus. Great spot! The beet and candied pecan salad with citrus dressing was so delicious! I added blackened chicken it was perfectly blackened and tender. I will add that the red onion was a bit much for my liking but I just didn't eat all of it. Nothing to fuss over. The salad was so good, I had to bring one home for my husband to try. He enjoyed it as well. The classic burger (friends order) looked gigantic and was delightfully seasoned. The French fries were basic, a tad salty but okay. The service was okay, nothing to rave about. The restaurant itself is nice. They have tv screens in the dining area and a bar on the opposite end of the main entrance. Been a long time customer at the Anaheim Hills location.... now going to this one which is very close to my place of work. Reunion is known for their upscale quality food and drink. Tonight... came back again to their delicious fish and chips. One of the best item on the menu if you're into fish. Tasty and delicious. No doubt about that. Oh, and lets not forget about their OC sourdough burger, best sourdough burger you'll ever had... added bonus, if you go to their Santa Barbara location, it's called East Beach Burger instead of OC Sourdough burger. I've been calling it east side burger. LOL. Crazy huh? For dessert, I usually make sure I end my night with their best dessert..... Warm Butter Cake. I don't often leave reviews, food here is always tasty, we meet long time friends there. Out of the 6 of us only a couple of beers were ordered. Our server Ashley was outstanding. I sometimes feel if you are not drinking alcohol at nice restaurants, sometimes servers, are not that happy to serve you, probably because it affects their tip amount. This is one of the most pleasant lunch experiences I have ever had in a while, all thanks to the quick and welcoming service as well as some of the most memorable food I have ever had. My party got seated as soon as we got there and had such a great table to sit at since it was accompanied by the view of what surrounds this restaurant. Our waitress was super helpful and friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu swiftly. It also did not take long for our orders to come and right off the bat, I was blown away by how much food was given in each of our plates! I opted for a double smash burger and others ordered a crispy chicken sandwich or a different burger. After trying the burger, I genuinely believed it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The chicken sandwich was also very delicious and filling! However, I thought the star of this lunch was definitely my burger. It was juicy, well seasoned, and verrrrry cheesy. Despite the fries not being as memorable as the entrees (since I do not prefer shoestring fries and there was not as much as I thought there would be), the overall experience of trying the burger and the sandwich made up for it. This was one of the first times in a while I walked away feeling so full because of the amount of food I consumed! Nice place! It took over Copper Blues, which we never got the chance to try, but Reunion Kitchen is a nice addition to the DT Brea food scene. Located right next to Old Brea Chop House, we came for Saturday linner and it was half full and most importantly - a toddler friendly time for us to be eating out. They also have a dedicated kids menu. We got the crunchy chicken sandwich and beef stroganoff. Food was good and fairly priced, service was friendly and they have high chairs. We love having Reunion Kitchen & Drink in Downtown Brea. It's a gorgeous addition to downtown, and I love how the big windows push out to make it an almost open-air restaurant. While we've been long-time patrons of the Anaheim Hills location, and still like to visit our favorite bartender Steve, this is an awesome location that we consistently have on our rotation. What's to know: ***Happy Hour is from 2:30 - 6 and then they have a late night one as well. Why is this important? You can get a Vanilla Old Fashioned for $8 which is like half the price of the same drink after 6. They also have some great appetizers on special like the miso garlic noodles ***What to order: We like the Prime Rib dip with an extra au jus, the BBQ Chicken Cobb Salad, the Poke bowl, the Salmon Salad and the tuna melt. Those are our go-to's but really there is so much more that is good. Also a little note here on sides. The steak fries are a really good choice, as is the tots:) ***Modifications: Reunion is great with modifications. We always order the BBQ Chicken Cobb salad with no cheese, no fried onions and no bacon (basically no fun) and with their balsamic viniagrette instead of the ranch. We also get the Prime Rib dip with no aioli and it's no problem. ***Not on the menu: They still have a Veggie Plate that is in their computer system where you can choose steamed or roasted vegetables that is served over a bed of rice. We get no rice and add chicken. If you ask for the sauce that is served with the Poke you are totally in business ***Desserts: Reunion is known for their butter cake and it is definitely amazing. But my favorite dessert at Reunion is Bob's Fudge Cake. It's iced devil's food cake with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whip cream and a whole lotta love. Mark my words, it will blow your mind. I really like this new restaurant and bar next to improv Brea. We came in a couple times for drinks and bar foods. I have had half bottles of Veuve yellow label and hubby had Vesper martinis. I wish there was more of the glaze on top because the brussels sprouts were still on the more bitter side. However, flavor profile was good and not too overpowering. (3.75/5) **Double Oklahoma Smash Burger: This was my first time having a smash burger and it was delicious! I ordered fries as my side and they were perfectly crispy and lightly seasoned. (5/5) **Classic Cheeseburger: My mom ordered this and she really liked it. She got a ranch slaw on the side and it was average. It's not like your typical coleslaw but more like a side salad. Paola had explained a "secret" menu item that was an upgrade from the flat iron steak I was considering. A hanger steak meal with shrimp. It was a lovely entree and I should have asked specifically what it cost. I assumed it would be slightly higher than the $42 cost of the flat iron entree. Not $85! Paola did not mention this. When I commented that it would have been appropriate to mention this, Paola nodded yes. I would have not ordered the meal-I do not consider the hanger steak entree worth that cost. Anaheim Hills location is leaps and bounds better and in Stark contrast to our experience just 2 weeks ago on a Fri 8p in Brea location. Would NOT go back to the Brea location. Been to the Laguna location twice as well. Mind you I have been a Reunion fan since day 7 of their grand opening in AH. No manager or lead came by even though we sent out food back for not making it right. You would think they would expedite her salad since it was not per the ticket. For god sakes nothing is hot. Still I finished my main entree before her corrected salad came - easily 25 mins. Restaurant was half dead and still took 20mins to get an order of fries. Asked server to cancel the fries since my wife finished her salad. Server was super apologetic and gave us the fries on the house. Kitchen / Back of house service was just really poss poor in Brea location and lack of floor support to help with refills. Our server said it was her first night but she did a great job. Oh and this location apparently does NOT have soda water on their fountain.... How is that possible??? I left pissed off. The hosts didn't say goodbye or thanks for coming. With Mother's Day and warm temperatures, we found most restaurants filling up early. When we arrived here at 4:30, it was a nice surprise to find that there wasn't a wait for a table. Even though the place was very busy, the service we received was outstanding. Water glasses were filled, drink and food orders were taken promptly and our server even obliged when my girlfriend asked for our picture to be taken. Also, with the crowd size, our table location was quiet enough to carry on a conversation, which made for a pleasant dining experience. The only slight mark off is for the food. At this location and also at their Santa Barbara location, each time we've order a sandwich (Blackened Halibut in SB, Jalapeno Burger in Brea), the bun falls apart and have been reduced to using utensils to eat. Came in yesterday (Friday night) with no reservations needed. Called ahead in case it was packed and we were getting hangry. Food: Our server was Cherish. She was very funny and made sure we had a good time. I got the Rosemary's Chicken and Biscuits. It was DELICIOUS. The chicken was crispy and seasoned right. I dipped my chicken with some mashed potatoes and dabbed it up with some sausage gravy. I was out of this world. (Also, they have hot sauce so don't be shy to ask!). My husband got the Double Oklahoma Smash Burger. He let me take the first bite and it was so juicy and symphony of flavors swirling in my mouth with some crispy tater tots that went well with some ranch. You didn't even need dipping sauce.
