I tried the carne asada, pastor, and chicken tacos. All of which were really good and well marinated. Meats were tender and not dry at all. Just on the taste alone, I'll definitely be back and will be paying with cash or debit next time. Keto taco - toasted/grilled cheese instead of a regular tortilla - needed to be done a little more on one side as the cheese wasn't quite toasty enough to stay in place to slightly resemble the shape of a taco. Bit hard to eat, covered my hands in grease. Asada tastes almost boiled, and this being my 2nd or 3rd time getting the Asada here, it consistently tastes like it was boiled and not grilled. Unsure of meat quality or preparation, but there are no grill marks and it's a bit chewy. Same with the al pastor. Tripa taco was bizarre. Strips of flat skin instead of the usual roundish, cylindrical shape of tripa (intestine). Usually a saltier, fattier meat than asada, which is my preference but the one here was lacking in flavor and the texture threw me off a bit. Tripa can be chewy - unless requested extra done, which is how I normally order it - but there was no saving this tripa. I think it needs to be sliced differently, the cuts made it inedible. Brother shared some of his chorizo taco and it was the better of the bunch. Red chorizo, TJ style, although it was also lacking a teeny bit in flavor... onions and cilantro to the rescue! Still, mediocre. Salsas were ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Don't think the tortillas were homemade. Service was fine, cashier takes your order, dude at the counter was chill and had a friendly attitude. Seating was limited. Mostly bar style seating but the majority was in front of a window and it had so much heat trapped from the glass that it was kind of uncomfortable. Other seats are too close to the bathroom. Good for a quick bite or just pick-up orders. Wouldn't plan a sit down/dine-in visit. Parking is scarce and has really small spots, wouldn't come if you're driving a pick-up truck or anything like that. Food was reasonably priced, which is good, however; the food was lacking so I would not return.

I'm the guy that laughed at what I presume to be the boss(unbeknownst to me at the moment) after the cook refused to prioritized his order before the customers orders. "Waaa my tacos take less than two mins to make and not 20 mins" he cried. He then stormed out of the restaurant huffing and puffing, prob even more upset that I giggled at him. Shortly after he comes back in. He paces back and forward before making what I presume to be his power play against me for laughing at his tantrum. He walks behind the counter and exchanges some words with the employees about the order he was waiting on. He then decides to pick up my order(I ordered nachos in front of him so he knows it's mine) with his unsanitary hands. He holds it up close to his visage breathing his COVID germs all over it and then proceeds to hold his camera phone to it as if taking pics. At this point I'm just thinking "man I'm throwing theses nachos away and never coming back here again." As soon his he puts it down, he then asked for some gloves to put on. For what? To make his order which was already made? To help make customers orders that he doesn't prioritizes? You would think I'd ask for a refund or for another plate, but no. They can keep my money. Also props to the Cook for prioritizing his bosses customers orders first. It's what I would want as business owner my self. read more

Not the type to typically write reviews, but it would be a sin not to write a review for the Chilaquiles I just ate! Total Hidden Gem, wouldn't have known this place was here if it weren't for taking a wrong turn into this shopping center. Ordered the chilaquiles and added Asada to it....Holy S**t!! Mouth Bursting with Flavor. Too bad I had ordered this to go, and ate this at home. If I would have eaten there, I would have personally thanked the Cook who made this meal. First time eating at Reventaco and my husband and I were very happy with both the food and service. I had 2 chicken tacos plus pastor. The meat in both was full of flavor. My husband had the fish tacos and was also very happy with them. First time we had tried banana peppers that are grilled and placed on the plate as garnish, absolutley delicious. I think that Pepe's is the best Mexican DRIVE THRU restaurant in the Whittier/La Habrá area…read morebecause: 5/5 Drive Thru - as a busy Mom I loooove Drive Thru restaurants! 5/5 cleanliness 5/5 service - the young guy who took my order in the drive thru was nice (spoke perfect English - so I disagree with the negative reviews on that) and he realized he accidentally gave me red salsa instead of green so he fixed it right away 5/5 reputation - this place was packed both inside and the drive thru so you know it must be good 5/5 flour tortillas - omg yum they handmade their flour tortillas and I could just eat the tortillas plain dipping them into salsa they are so delicious!! 5/5 enchilada - I like how you can choose red or green sauce since many places dont have green 5/5 salsas - they have 4 salsas: red (medium spicy) , green (medium spicy) , avocado salsa (mild) and Habanero (hot) and all are delicious but I only do the habanero in baby dips. The green is my favorite 5/5 bean and cheese burrito - good beans, mixed white and yellow cheese sufficiently melted, not greasy 5/5 French fries - crinkle cut and nice & salty 5/5 kids meals - great value and I get to sample some of their fries! Their mini burritos are mini though! 5/5 beverages they have Coke products and Fanta. My kids love the Strawberry Fanta which isn't super common so that's special. 5/5 tacos - I always prefer the mini street tacos with cilantro & onions 5/5 Breakfast - they serve their breakfast menu (like machaca, breakfast tacos) ALL DAY LONG! Amazing!!!!
