This place has been a favorite forever. Came here for a pre dinner snack and was treated with excellent energy and hospitality. Love the decor too. Servers are top tier energy as well, thank you, Elda! Amazing service for our family date. We will be back soon.

2.5-3 Star Yelp Review Revival Bar & Kitchen - Berkeley, CA Revival Bar & Kitchen has that signature Berkeley charm -- stylish, artistic, and effortlessly farm-to-table in a way that feels very "downtown Berkeley." The atmosphere is warm and creative, and the space works well for date nights, drinks with friends, or a pre-show dinner. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The staff explained the menu well and checked in at the right times. No issues there at all. But when it came to the food, things went sideways. The presentation was the first red flag. For a spot that leans on a seasonal, chef-driven identity, the plates came out looking surprisingly sloppy. Edges messy, portions uneven, and one of the boards looked like everything was just piled in a heap. It didn't look intentional; it looked rushed. And flavor-wise? Let's just say the food -- other than the pizza -- was not a winner. Nothing we tried was terrible, but nothing stood out either, and most dishes felt under-seasoned or unfocused. The pizza was the one bright spot: hot, flavorful, and clearly coming from the strongest section of their kitchen. If the rest of the menu had the same attention as the pizza oven, this would be a different review. The good news? The cocktails were impressive -- balanced, creative, and easily one of the highlights of the night. If you come for anything, come for the drinks. Overall, Revival has the atmosphere, the service, and the bar program going for it, but the food needs more consistency and way more attention to detail -- especially with presentation. There's potential here, but they aren't hitting it yet. Still, try it for yourself. You might enjoy different dishes than we did, and your experience might be what gets us to come back for another round someday.

Revival is one of the best restaurants left at Berkeley after the Pandamic. The food is excellent with high quality of produce and organic. The service is one the best customer service with a lovely craft cocktail and full bar as well. The Ambiance is just fit your vibes as you want it. I will high recommend this place to check it out.

Decided on this place right before attending a show. We were welcomed almost immediately and we sat at the bar. It was happy hour so we decided on the Duck Confit Wings and the Kenebec Fries. The wings were really good. Had this orange glaze on them that was very tasty. The fries were perfectly crispy. Very, very good. I didn't really care for the aioli they came with though. I ordered the Save the Bees cocktail as well. It was ok but lacked booze and it was warm. The food and service was great and I'll be back.

Came back for a drink - this blood orange gin gimlet was great! Knew the bartender, Robby, from Fonda in Solano. Great see him. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the happy hour menu and deals. I'll be back for happy hour!

WHEN: Tue @7pm Came here to meet with 3 others for dinner and it was all our first time. Was able to easily make reservations via Open Table, but it's not busy since it's a weeknight. PARKING: I believe street metered parking is free after 6pm, so if you can snag one up, you're in luck! But please do not leave anything visible! One of us had her car broken into just down the street! I appreciate the extensive beverage menu which includes non-alcoholic cocktails, which I had! I chose: BLOOMS IN MORNING DEW - $12 Blueberry & Mint Tea, Pineapple, Lime, Rosemary, and Citrus Egg White Foam. Why am I always a sucker for drink with eggs in them? This drink was so good with the right amount of sweetness! I'm really glad I ordered it! It's also so pretty. HOUSE PICKLE PLATE - $12 Zucchini, carrot, cauliflower, bread and butter pickles. It's pickles, which of us decided on this? It's a waste in my opinion, I would have preferred actual bread and butter, haha. CALIFORNIA CHEESE BOARD - $38 Humboldt Fog Goat Cheese, Point Reyes Quinta Goat Brie, Cypress Grove Midnight Moon Aged Goat served with pralined walnuts, honey, apple, olive oil flat bread. Why were they called flatbread? It's bland crackers that no one even touched. The rest were good though! Charcuterie boards are always fun when it's just not pickles. SHISHITO PEPPERS - $13 House-made crème fraiche ranch. The fact that it is served on a bed of ranch takes the cake! These were fun to eat and I enjoyed it! Didn't hit a spicy one though, thank goodness. CONFIT DUCK WINGS - $16 Black Pepper & Orange glaze, arugula and orange jus. Pretty impressed with this one! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe it came with 5 pieces. RBK HOUSE DUCK TWO WAYS - $36 Mary's organic smoked duck breast and confit leg, port jus, mashed potatoes, heirloom spinach, cherries. More duck! We all shared this dish and it well enjoyed! Nothing dry about it, and I loved the creamy mashed potatoes. Too bad this spot closes early at 8:30pm, so we left to have dessert elsewhere. Our server was very friendly and we all had a wonderful time, feeling a bit fancy dining here.

I had won a gift card here and was notified in an email that we can only order online and can't dine in, which is a first in my opinion. Since I took note of this, I went ahead and order directly on their website: pepperoni pizza, stone fruit & burrata, and fries. After waiting for awhile, I called to see if our order is ready and came to find out they don't accept any orders on their website due to them operating on a third party site =/ They could've put an announcement on their website to notify their customers ahead of time. So... I had to replace the stone fruit burrata to a heirloom tomato burrata, that was unfortunate as my friend really wanted to try that. My friend & I drove there and they had everything ready to go. We wanted to dine in and we ask the staff if it's ok for us to sit & eat, and they're actually fine with it. It would've been perfect if they notify us that we can actually dine in and order instead of order online if their website can't take orders.. While sitting and eating our food, we order two non alcoholic drinks: pineapple silk daqurai & a blood orange shrub mocktail which was good. Besides the hierloom tomatos, the food was mid. Only good thing is that their service was very good. They were friendly & accommodating to our requests. Since I use the gift card to pay half of all the food I order online, I used the remaining amount to pay for our drinks & the manager came and told us that it's all on the house which was fantastic as the whole situation was crazy. Of course, I left a tip for good service :)

It's one of the oldest Ace classic bar and restaurant in Berkeley. Location is great with accessible with central Berkeley and good for walking around before or after visiting this place. Therefore it's a resort for people waiting for a show or theater close by making Friday nights or weekend nights very busy and gets suddenly calm like after 7ish when shows starts! Food is delicious with good varieties. Service is relatively quick with responsive friendly waiters. There is full bar with good variety of cocktails. Good for gathering, groups, meetup and dates. Parking is a hassle in general in downtown Berkeley but doable.

Came for dinner one evening prior to seeing a show at Berkeley Rep. Was pleasantly surprised with the food. Enjoyed the ambiance as we had a nice view of the room. Bar area seemed rather large, though I had made a reservation for the main dining room. As others had mentioned, service can be a bit slow, so don't expect a fast meal unless you say something ahead of time. I was fine with the pace and dessert was our only hiccup. Very much enjoyed the Brussels Sprouts and Deviled Eggs. The other items were good too, but these were my standouts. Will come back again when the seasonal menu changes.

I've been here twice. Once before a Young the Giant show at the Greek and once before a Rise Against show at the UC Theatre. Both time the service was impeccable, the drinks inventive and classic where appropriate. The cheese and charcuterie boards were good, last night had the pumpkin arancini...so good. Centrally located, a block from a solid public parking lot, might be a tad on the pricey side...order your food conservatively...no need to pay for leftovers here.

I recently tried going here at 9pm. We walked in and were told the place was closed. But there were a few other people at the bar, the sandwich board was still out, and the listed hours are until midnight. What time does the bar close?

You are right - they claim to be open til midnight. I've found that this place has a sense of self inflated importance. If business is good, due to Berkeley Rep, Aurora, Freight and Salvage and the Jazz School being busy, they stay open. Sorry they…

We are thinking about hosting an event in their private room. Anyone have experience with that, good or bad?

I would not. Horrible customer service and there are much better options elsewhere. Save yourself…

The city of Berkeley has brought good pizza recently to San Francisco like Rose Pizzeria. Going to Berkeley I have experienced great pizza places which are not located in SF. Berkeley has some great pizza places such as the Cheeseboard , Pizzeria da Laura and for the best Chicago style pizza at Zachary's Pizza ( actual fresher ingredients than most of Chicago )which both have no locations in SF. There a different pizza spot in Berkeley which serves fresh pizza with local ingredients and there is no spot in SF and it's called Sliver pizza. On a Summer day stroll in the sun in Berkeley I landed at the Telegraph Avenue. Inside there are plenty of seating and they do not accept cash. I ordered their POD also known as Pizza Of the Day. It had the Mushroom, red onions, green scallions , and it had a lemon zest which was sour like some in SF. It was a little cheesy and the sourdough crust was soft. It was tasty and you can taste the field to table ingredients in the pizza. They also have interesting pizza like the Cherry Corn Pizza like I saw on my social media feed. When in Berkeley you must try Sliver Pizzeria. Go to Berkeley for this is a "must" because they have a sourdough "crust" is a "plus" it's not too cheesy and very delicious and leaves some pizza places in SF in the "dust" This pizza place is to eat inside , pick up, and they do "deliver" I rate it more on gold standard side than "silver" fresh ingredients from the "Salinas River" at a pizza place in Berkeley on Telegraph called "Sliver"

I went last week and they had a summer corn pizza that was loaded with juicy kernels of corn, fresh tomatoes and peppers, plus a ton of parsley for garnish. I am a corn fan so I knew I'd like this flavor. And I wasn't disappointed. Sauce: Sliver could even be more well known for its sauces. You have to try the green sauce! Perfect blend of savoriness, freshness, and a kick of heat! Location: right off the Berkeley BART station, This shop is super easy to transit to whether you're taking bus or the bart. Lots parking nearby too. Bathroom: maybe I just went too early in the day before the employees had time to clean up the bathroom, but it had no toilet paper, no seat covers, no paper towels, and the hand soap was simply in a cup that you had to dip your fingers into... kinda sus? Overall I'll definitely be going back because sliver become so popular because of their incredible pizzas and not their bathrooms!

I only tried NY style and it was so good but the others look decadently good. Prices are similar to other pizza spots, so you're paying $28-35ish for a large. They do have small available, as well.
