    Blackberry grove cocktail

Was visiting a friend in the neighborhood and just wanted a drink outside. The host was very unclear about the fact that there were no tables available outside. So, when we went upstairs, the servers outside were very upset and told us we must go back to the host. Oh, well. We ended up sitting by the bar upstairs and enjoying a cocktail. The blackberry grove was delicious, I just wish the staff was more clear about seating, as we probably would've went somewhere else.

Food was good. Just had a few small plates that we shared. Vibes seemed good but our bartender (we sat at the bar) wasn't very attentive. We all would have had a second or third round but he just never came back over again. Will try again, but maybe not at the bar next time.

A friend and I had plans to see a show in Old City the other night and we found this place during our search to find dinner in the area. The experience was decidedly mixed, though I would definitely give it another shot. Atmosphere 5/5 First off, the space is beautiful. There are two floors, with a dining area downstairs, and a bar and a very large space for more dining upstairs. You can tell that this upstairs area is open-air during the warmer months, and would seem like an even better atmosphere to dine in. Aside from being spacious, the space is nicely decorated and comfortable. Food 4/5 Upon first glance, the menu has a wide variety of tempting options, from handhelds to steak, chicken, and shortrib, to all sorts of wood-fired pizzas, which the waiter told us was their specialty. My dining partner and I opted to share the Whipped Ricotta with flatbread and honey for an appetizer. Delish! For the main course, we both ordered the gnocchi with roasted eggplant, scallions, and parmesan. We were told that the gnocchi is house-made, which helped in our decision. In the end, the dish was tasty, but a bit too doughy. Service 3/5 The service at Revolution House is the reason for the overall rating of 3. Unfortunately, we waited a long time for everything, from our drinks to the food and even the check. It wasn't until the very end that the waiter explained that they were shorthanded, but by that time, we were a little frustrated to say the least As I alluded to earlier, the menu and the atmosphere was enough for me to be willing to try Revolution House again and hopefully next time the experience will be better.

Super cute casual dining spot with really great service. Coordinated a work social for a group of 7 on a Friday evening, Revolution House accommodated our party so well. Shoutouts to Gabriella, our excellent server. The cocktails were delicious, food was great (specifically those brussels), and the ambiance of the updaters room, decked out for the holidays in lights, SO cute!

So far this place is amazing! The service was fantastic! The waitress was so professional! The Brussel sprouts WERE DEVINE! The garlic honey oil was a great touch. The calamari was a bit over cooked. The chicken buffalo dip was delicious. Comes with bread or chips. The garlic shrimp was very delicious and the shrimp was perfectly cooked! The chicken parm was also amazing! Overall, this place was 9/10!

Had an awesome experience at revolution house! Got a nice table on the upstairs floor with a great view and beautiful aesthetic. The fountain was neat(though I wish it wasn't splashing on me). But it was kinda nice since the fans weren't on and it was extremely hot out! Despite this, I was very pleased with my meal and the drinks we ordered. The drinks were presented very nicely and had a really good flavor! They provided ice water and kept it full which was also nice. For food we ordered the blistered shishitos(pepper things), a few flatbreads, and the smash burger. All were delicious especially the peppers and the flat bread which were very tasty and well seasoned. I was actually surprised at how good the peppers were since I typically don't get them, so definitely try if you can. Service was good and it was easy to get a table. Overall excellent spot and will be coming back! Very highly recommend!

Staff: the staff was fine. Not neglectful. Vibe: big rooftop vibes. There's indoor dinning as well. They really need to get the top step reinforcement. Didn't feel safe. Food: the wings (gluten free) were fried hard which was great. They could've used more sauce. The salad was fine. The dressing needed more citrus or vinegar. The pecans were a delight. The strawberry lemon was great.

Each stall is a room with a small uand sink. Bar choices were a little limited for whiskeys. They had couple interesting ones though that you don't normally see. We had the cheesesteak egg rolls and mozzarella bricks to start. They were both very good. Our main courses were the duck, filet, New York strip, and a burger. My wife never finishes her filet. They forgot the Bernaise that she ordered but sent out a fresh bowl fairly quickly. She ate the whole filet and loved the Bernaise. My daughter ate almost the entire strip and loved it. My son inhaled the burger which they added bacon and bbq sauce to for him. My duck was cooked perfectly and I got fries instead of the mashed potatoes. The fries were good and a welcome choice since the mashed potatoes have garlic in them which I can't eat. Admittedly we didn't get dessert there since Franklin Fountain is around the corner. Our meal was excellent. Just good food prepared well without a bunch of excess ingredients covering the flavors of the main dish. We get so tired of ordering food and having to ask that half of the ingredients are left off. This was a nice and welcome change to be able to order dinner cooked to the temperatures we wanted without worrying about all the other additions. We will definitely go back. As a Northern Liberties resident, I've visited Fringe Bar several times and have generally enjoyed the experience before my recent experience with the manager. Unfortunately, my visit on June 13 around 4:30 PM completely changed my opinion of this establishment. My friend and I were seated and waited nearly 20 minutes before our food order was taken. Our server explained that their ordering system had gone down.... We were understanding and patient but to be honest it felt like she forgot. About 10 minutes later, we finally received our drinks, and our server shared that management had continued assigning her additional tables despite the issues, making it difficult for her to keep up. We sympathized with her and gave the staff plenty of grace. After waiting another 30 minutes, nearly an hour total since arriving, we still had not received our food. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching another table that arrived roughly 30 minutes after us receive their meals before we did. At that point, I approached Henry to ask about our order. I explained that we had been waiting for nearly an hour and that guests who arrived significantly later had already been served and they needed to hurry up with our food because we were hungry. Before I could even finish speaking, Henry interrupted me, stated that he would comp the food, and told us to leave. All I wanted was an explanation and asked that our order be prioritized after such a long wait. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, Henry immediately escalated the situation and effectively removed us from the restaurant. The interaction felt dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer service. Even another manager appeared surprised by how quickly our order was canceled and how the situation was handled. The entire experience left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Mistakes happen. Delays happen. What determines whether customers return is how management responds. Unfortunately, Henry's arrogance, poor communication, and inability to handle a reasonable customer concern ensured that I will never return. The attached photos include timestamps documenting our visit and the lengthy wait and a photo of Henry so you can avoid him. DO NOT COME.
