You never know what you'll get when you visit. I've had times this place was fantastic and I've had times, like tonight, where it was the worst! As far as BBQ joints go, Rib Crib is not bad. I'm kind of spoiled in STL having Bandana's. Our server, Trevor, was a very pleasant young man. Very attentive and respectful. The meat was very tender and their sauces are good. read more

I had HORRIBLE customer service. On top of that my fries were cold and my mashed potatoes and gravy had no flavor and looked like it had been sitting out for a bit because those too were cold as well, but the catfish was good. While i was explaining to my waitress about all the problems i had with the food she rolled her eyes at me and had a horrible attitude towards me. I come to this place quit often and never had problems, especially with any of the waitresses i've had. She did get her manager and he helped us out and was absolutely nice about the whole situation. Love to go there often with my family of six. Good food and good service. This place stays pretty packed for dinner on friday/sat/sundays but they move pretty quick and can normally get a table right away or within a few minutes. My favorite is the chicken salad. Not the super cheap salad like one would expect at a BBQ joint. Other favs is the 'cribwich' with fries. All of my kids love the Mac & Cheese, as well as friends children. Usually we have a good experience at the Claremore Location. But this time was just off the mark. I don't mind waiting even if was 30 minutes over the time they said it would be ready. But after driving 25 minutes home and spending $50 for the super pack, I get home and it is the family pack with only two slices of bread, extra sausage link dried up (over cooked), mashed potatoes half filled!. . Three of us dinned and each of us loved our meals. Two had pick two platters and the other had a sandwich. The meat was delicious and very tender. Melted in your mouth. Sides were also very good. We pulled into town late, and this restaurant was right next to our hotel. In fact, our hotel gave us a coupon for the restaurant, which of course we forgot to use - doh! I had the brisket, which was okay, but a little dry. Husband said his meal was dry too (I think he got the ribs). Adding the bbq sauce on the table helped immensely. Their beans (I got the sweet ones) were delish! The iced tea - both regular and sweet, were super good. Our daughter got the chicken strips which were fine but would not stop raving about how good the onion rings were. 3 stars because the meat was so dry, but definitely good enough to give them another try. read more

I have had three very positive experiences with Rib Crib in Claremore. Each time was a small catered event (30people). From the first phone call to the delivery was excellent. They even helped me with special requests made because of the pandemic. Great job staff! read more

You don't have to be much of a barbecue connoisseur to realize that the ribs are not smoked like they used to be they may be partially smoked but they're steamed or boiled or something I was very disappointed will never go back sorry but they used to have really good ribs. We were staying at the Hampton Inn behind this location, so we walked here for a late night dinner. I had the Dynamite Chicken Salad. It was absolutely delicious. The greens were fresh and I loved the cheese quesadilla that it was topped with. My only disappointment was that they only served beer, no wine or mixed drinks. read more

The food is very good. I really like the BBQ Bacon Burger. Food came out very fast. The sweet tea has a little bit of a twang to it, so not a big fan of the sweet tea. This is the second time the tea wasn't very good. Other than that, very satisfying. read more

I've been here many times with family, around the Claremore area. I even had a friend work there for a little bit and he agrees that it's probably a 4 or 5 star. There is one year we went here for Mother's Day and my mom and Grandma both got a jug of BBQ for free! I thought it was really neat. Never had bad service or food here! read more

Have always thought their BBQ was solid and pretty consistent at this location, but went out on a limb and ordered the catfish dinner last year for some reason, as I had not had catfish in 10 plus years but it sounded good that night. Don't ever order the chopped brisket. This was the second time we ordered five pounds of chopped brisket for a church event. Both times at least two pounds was nothing but fat. My daughter, son in law, and I went out to eat at the local Rib Crib. They were rude and slow, then when they came to get my son in laws plate there was gum stuck to the bottom and a big long strand was still stuck to the table all the way up to the plate. The plate was dirty and probably one of us had the plate that it was stacked on top of. My daughter and I could not finish out food after that and gaged. We talked to the manager and he was hateful and acted like it was our fault. No appology or anything. Then he went back over to the window and yelled at the employees about chewing gum at work. Please don't eat here unless you ask when the meat was smoked.. They may smoke on Friday and you get left overs on sat afternoon. The place has always been hit and miss, mostly miss until we ate there last week and the brisket was dry and tough, the ribs were dry and tasteless, so I went back to the cooks and ask why the food was so badddd, and that is what they told me, the meat was smoked day before yesterday. A good bbq joint smokes daily but Rib Crib doesn't mind serving serving left overs as long as you have 15.00 to pay for it ........
