Went for my work holiday dinner, the food was delicious. I had the filet with a Gorgonzola sauce and was amazing! Could have use a bit more of the sauce but the filet was cooked perfectly. We went for a birthday dinner. Our server, Peggy, was very attentive and good. The drinks were good (Bradford and the Ricardo). We thought the wine list was a bit overpriced but there was a nice array of choices. The food was good but, on some levels, unremarkable. This is a steakhouse and not much more. We started with the lobster bisque (which could have used sherry and was a bit thin) and the beet salad (a bit more goat cheese than needed as it drowned out some of the other flavors). He had the seafood stew with polenta which had good flavor. The polenta is ladled on the bottom. I had the filet mignon which was well cooked--just wished they'd served a size smaller than 8 oz. The decor is a bit dated and could use some love. All in all, this is a typical steakhouse to some degree. We had a lovely evening--pleasant but not exceptional. read more

Very good experience! It's nice to have a somewhat fancier restaurant in the area to go out to! Staff was pleasant. The place itself was pleasant. I myself like the sit down area more than the bar. The bar was a little cold. I had to keep the jacket on. So did many other guests around. My husband had a 45 day Rib Eye which he was very very happy with. The lobster bisque as appetizer was really good too according to him. I had a house made chocolate soufflé which was delicious! I will tell you I'm a very picky eater when it comes to eating out because I make everything I eat from scratch, even bread and yoghurt. The food was great minus the lobster bisque. Very watery and no lobster in the soup. My biggest complaint was that our waitress did not wear her mask correctly the entire time we were there. Her nose and mouth were completely exposed. I also noticed another waiter that would take his off when he would get to his table. Second occasion for dinner at Ricardo's was a disappointment. Ribeye not marbled, thick or as large as the ones we buy at Albertson's, but much pricier. We make better steaks at home. We recommend the Brio Digital Air Fryer for a perfect ribeye. We have a complaint about the music. It should match the mood of a fancy steak/seafood restaurant. Ricardo's needs to work on that. It is part if the ambiance. While waiting for dinner, we had cold bread, in which case the hardened butter was not spreadable. What they serve to dip it in tasted like soy sauce. My wife ordered some seafood dish, which she barely touched. There is nothing else to say. Dinner was $91 with tip. There is no way we are going back. First review, months ago: For special occasions, because no steak is worth $50. This is a nice place to take your wife to on her birthday etc. The food is great. Uncomfortable seating. So, me and my wife were looking for a good place for a steak! And around here not to manny options. I have heard nothing but great things about Ricardo's so we had to try it. First when we got there we stood there for 2 minutes with no one acknowledging us. Was a little busy, so I get it. We waited 30 minutes for a seat like they said it would take. So far no issues. I order Ribeye medium rare. And my wife ordered the same. Mine came out slightly more on the medium side but my wife's was WELL done. Ok, no problem we will just let them know, told them and we waited 30 minutes for my wife to get a new steak, and guess what. Came back WELL again. Obviously we didn't pay for hers but just sad to have an experience that cost a lot of money to be ruined. Maybe it was to busy for them, idk. But it was like they just didn't give a flying you know what. Said we won't charge for that one and have a good night. Well it wasn't a good night. I honestly never heard of this restaurant until about a few weeks ago. The location is kind of hidden. I decided to bring my husband here for his promotion. I'm so glad I decided to try this place out, our food was AMAZING. The service was great as well. The have in house dry aged steak on the menu, I think the most expensive is $100 for 50 day prime rib. My husband ordered the 45 day rib-eye & I order the seafood pomodoro. I would def recommend this restaurant. It is a bit pricey so maybe for a birthday or special occasion. read more

Best vodka martini that I have had in a loooooooooong time. It was perfect. Ok, so I didn't have any steak, but I will be traveling back to do just that. I want to try the 50-Day Tomahawk Rib Eye (with my family and butcher husband of course). Huge Disappointment. We were out to a nice family dinner after our sons basketball game and randomly selected this place. We came in nice casual clothes, but not dressed up. As soon as we were sat at our table, Brad came and scanned all of our attire with disgust. He was annoyed and seemed inconvenienced when we were asking him questions about the menu to the point that I was nervous to get our food as we feared that he may have retaliated somehow. It's disappointing that an establishment of this type, would have a server that conducts himself in this manner. It was a disappointing and uncomfortable experience. We will not be back. read more

The steak was fantastic. Had the aged 45 day Ribeye. Pretty tasty. The mash was ok but the brussel sprouts were not the most appetizing. Server presented the draft beers with no names, simply a lager, an IPA, and some other types. I typically expect the server to know what named brew is on tap... so that was a bit weird. At any rate, "the IPA" was good although it was awkwardly served in a wine glass. Bottom line...This place is over priced. Appears more high end than on yelp than it really is. Another oddity is that the website makes it appear to be more American cuisine but the menu is kind of all over the place. Staff was nice enough, but I think focusing the menu may help, as well as reducing the prices 20-25%. read more

Very disappointed. I set reservations here a week in advance. We were running a few minutes late so I called to let them know, only to find out that they didnt have us down for any reservations. Not to mention, the person who picked up the phone was not much help at all. She did however offer to seat us in the lounge over the phone. We decided to give it a chance, check out the lounge. Ricardo's has been on my bucket list for a long while, after all. We got there along with a group ahead of us only to be ignored while the host stared at her screen. We waited for about 10 minutes to be acknowledged and ended up just walking out. I rarely leave any bad reviews but this left me pretty disappointed. Update: We ended up going to Anthony's Hearthfire in Olympia. It's has an amazing view and we got seated right away without any reservations. Everyone was so attentive, the food was great. Hands down the best steak I've had this side of the mountains. Husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary- we were seated in a cozy two top which felt nice and private. Our server Rob was lovely - so nice and helpful with the menu. The drinks were amazing - husband had a margarita (they use legit tequila- all quality brands on the menu) and I had a pink flamingo (so good). We skipped appetizers for no other reason than we each decided we'd do an add on to the steaks we ordered and we wouldn't be able to finish everything. I had a ribeye and added scallops and a loaded baked potato, and my husband got a filet mignon with shrimp added. The seafood add ons were fresh and perfectly cooked. The steak was so good! I really think you'd have to go to Seattle or Bellevue to find anything comparable. This place is a hidden gem in Lacey.
