The pad thai was amazing. All the dishes I tried were good. Everything was fresh and looked pretty. The Yelp event was fun. I got to answer one of the questions correctly and our team won. Sean said hi and you can tell his commitment to his restaurants because he has a baby at home and he was working so hard, cooking all the dishes! I will come back again for the pad thai but you can't be wrong ordering anything on the menu.

Located on Robson street, where all the shops and eateries are. Wanted something simple, flavorful, and not expensive - this place hits the spot. Dishes are made once you order so it comes out fresh and hot. Good flavor and good portion size. Staff is efficient to take orders, cook your food, and bring to your table. Solid place for Thai food on Robson Street.

I have been going to this restaurant quite regularly and I have always liked their food. But price has been going up little by little and portion has become smaller. Today the portion was really small and despite the small amount of veggie I guess they used way more sauce and it was too salty for me to eat. I went to the counter, politely asked if they could remake it as I honestly could not eat it. The girl who was working in the kitchen just stared at me and gave me a nasty look like I was asking something obscure.... I don't think I will come back again. It's a pity because this was my to go place for lazy night meal!

Pretty fast paced restaurant. Order at a cashier then get your food to eat at a table. I got the Penang Red Curry with Beef and it was good! Portion was a bit small compared to other dishes at this price range. There is drinking water available for everyone to pour on their own, and once finishing you put your dishes in a designated area. Overall it's a very self service kind of dynamic

We came on a Saturday and the place wasn't pretty much empty. We ordered the laksa, pad Thai, green curry rice and the fried rice Overall the food was okay. It came out really fast and it was really filling. None of the items come with any meat so if you want meat you would need to add on. This wouldn't be a good place for vegetarians. The service is efficient. If you are in a rush it is good. It looked like the portions for sit in were larger than takeout but that's just what we observed. Cheap for what you get. Would recommend for something fast and cheap downtown

If you're in the Robson/Coal Harbour neighbourhood and need a quick, flavourful and value for money lunch, this is the spot! I've been coming to Rice and Noodle on a pretty regular basis for the past year given it's proximity to my workplace. Service is extremely quick. Great variety of options along with a sliding scale of spice levels that are available which is a really good feature! My go to is usually the Pineapple Fried Rice (photo below) but would also recommend the Pad Thai, Penang Curry or the Tom Yum. The only con would be the smokiness when sitting at the restaurant, it can get a bit overwhelming, which is why I tend to always get takeaway.

Take out review I got the Pad Thai with beef for takeout The portion was pretty good and the order was ready in 15 min. The noodles were done perfectly and there waa a lot of beef. Although I did find some pretty chewy pieces of beef. My only complaint is the spice level I got the spicy level 4, and it was too spicy to enjoy the dish

AMAZING!! If you haven't tried it's amazing!!! Mild, shrimp was perfect! Noodles were cooked just to perfection!! Shrimp was amazing

There are loads of nicer restaurants on this street - but this spot is a gem. Quick order at counter, but food did not disappoint. The Laksa was amazing - perfect heat and flavors. The pad Thai, on par w any good pad Thai. The pricing is great for this area. Perfect place to pop into, grab some warm Thai, snug into a booth, and warm up and refuel for more Robson shopping.

I've been looking for Pad Thai for dinner, and my bf found Rice and Noodle, he told me there were a lot of good reviews about this, so I thought I would give them a try, and turns out it was ... not what I expected.. We tried Pad Thai beef and chicken. In my point of view it was one of the worst Pad Thai I've ever tried before to be honest, because I am a Pad Thai lover hehe I tried both beef and chicken and it was weird, the flavor didn't match together even though they were just different type of protein... I still prefer Thai Express over this place since it's much better.

The chicken satay was definitely very good, flavorful and tender. The peanut sauce goes very well with the meat. Downside was the calamari, the pieces are quite big which make it not as crispy as it would be. Our favorite was the salmon penang curry. the coconut flavor of the curry together with the sweetness make it a very well balanced item. it went very well with the jasmine rice. We also tried the mango sticky rice. the warm sticky rice went perfectly well with the sweetness of the mango. very well made I would love to visit again to try other items on the list which caught my eyes

My partner really wanted to try their Boat Noodle for a while now so we were quite excited to try that dish. The waiter was nice and recommended a couple dishes for us. Som Tum (Papaya Salad) 3/5 The texture was nice and it tasted refreshing but it is QUITE spicy. I appreciate the authentic Thai spice level but it was too spicy for us. I liked the sourness and I know this rating is a very personal rating based on our spice tolerance. Roti with Curry Sauce 3.75/5 Nice, flaky roti that wasn't too oily. I wish there was a little more sauce. Pad See Ew with Crab Meat 4/5 Great flavor. There was a decent number of clumped up noodle but the portion was great. Good amount of crab as well. Boat Noodle Soup 4.25/5 This was the best boat noodle we had so far. Flavorful broth with generous portion of various meats. There could be an option to get more noodles but my partner got this and she was satisfied with the amount since there were good chunks of meat. Good heat that creeps up. Roselle Drink 3.75-4.5/5 Great compliment to the dishes as it lightened and refreshed our pallette. Slightly sour. It tasted better with the food than by itself. Thai Milk Tea 3.5/5 Good enough. Wasn't the best but wasn't bad. Rainbow Sweet Sticky Rice 4.25/5 We were surprised it came in a cup and that it was soup-ier than we imagined. I was hoping that they had mango sticky rice but we thoroughly enjoyed the coconut I think it's also important to keep in mind that this is a relatively fast paced restaurant. There is some wait so you want to finish your food, pay, and leave. The staff was nice but we could tell that they wanted to keep the flow. We would be coming back again for sure! We loved the staff and the food.

Even on a weekday evening, the restaurant was nearly full. We started with the papaya salad, which was fresh, crisp, and nicely seasoned. We also ordered the roasted duck curry. I'm not usually the biggest duck fan, but the curry itself had great flavor. The broth was a bit looser and soupier than I was expecting, but it paired wonderfully with rice. I was also surprised to find pieces of whole fruit in the curry, something I haven't encountered in Thai curries before. The standout of the meal was definitely the Crying Tiger platter. We ordered it with both beef and pork jowl. While the beef was excellent, the pork jowl was especially memorable. Both meats had a wonderful charred, smoky flavor from the grill and were served alongside fresh vegetables and sticky rice, making for a satisfying and well-balanced dish. The prices were also extremely reasonable for the quality and portions. There are still so many dishes on the menu I'd love to try, and I'd happily return on a future visit to Vancouver.

As usual, I'm late to the party. I've heard about Phnom Penh…read moreand its famous chicken wings ever since I moved to Vancouver, nine-ish years ago. My fellow Yelpers raved about this place when I first moved here, and my kid came here with her school pals 5-6 years ago and also raved about the wings. It's been on my list to come here forever - and last night, finally, I did. It did not disappoint. My kid warned me, there'll probably be a line up waiting to get in (they don't take reservations here. I checked), so we decided to go at an off-time and get an early dinner, around 5pm on Friday. We walked there and, miracle of miracle, there was no line and we got seated right away. (Granted, we got the last vacant table in the place, and when we left after our meal, there already was a line of people waiting to get in). Food-wise...wow. I am NOT one for adventurous eating, so there were dishes on the menu I couldn't comfortably order (I wish I could, but hey, I'm better now than I used to be!). Still, there was lots for me to choose from. And first and foremost, I HAD to try the famous chicken wings. And I can honestly say, they were the best I've ever had: SO SO crunchy and crispy on the outside, and hot and moist on the inside. OMG so so so good. I can't speak highly enough of these! My kid ordered the butter beef. It was tasty and soft ("like butta!"), and the marinade was lovely, but personally, I couldn't get over the...rawness and redness of the meat and juice (which looked like blood to me). For fellow non-adventurous eaters out there, this might not be for you, despite how flavorful it tasted. It was just hard for me to get over how it looked. (I know I'm in a minority here. This dish is one of their most popular and asked-for dishes). We had the garlic dry spare ribs. I love spareribs. These were delicious but a tad too salty and greasy. I brought most of them home and had them today for lunch. I gotta say, they were so much better for me today: less salty, and I blotted off the excess grease. Delicious! My kid ordered a "small" sweet and sour soup with prawns, and wow, it came in a huge black cauldren. I can't imagine ordering a large size. Anyhow, this soup was a stand-out soup - especially for my kid who said she had dreams about it all night (lol)! So complex in flavors - spicy, sweet, savory, chock full of prawns and sprouts and lotus shoots and pineapple chunks and and other delicious stuff.... For me, it was a wee tad too spicy, but wow, even I thought, this is a special soup. So delicious and warming. 10/10. Our servers were prompt and impressively able to efficiently tend to a full house of diners. They got it all down to a science here. One issue of note: my kid had to use the washroom at one point and she left for a very extended period of time. I actually thought at one point that something had happened to her or she was ill, she was gone so long (VERY unlike her). When she returned, she told me it was "quite a hike", around the back of the restaurant and up a flight of stairs, too. I only make note of this in case anyone has mobility issues, know that the bathroom will be difficult (or impossible) for you to access.

We came around 4pm so there was no wait but by the time we left at like 5 there was already a line forming outside. We got the wings and veggie fried rice, and it took a bit of time for the food to come out but that didn't bother us. The portion for the fried rice was MASSIVE and could easily feed 3-4 people. It was good, nothing to standout but a very good classic fried rice. The wings came out after and were hot and crispy. It comes with a lemon pepper sauce on the side, which was super lemony - great if you like that but I wasn't too big a fan of it. The wings were juicy and fresh, though I will say I did expect a bit more flavor. There was only one piece at the bottom that had a generous coat of the seasoning which I thought was super tasty. Overall, good spot! I'm not sure I'd wait super long for it, but glad I got to try.
