I'm lost for words.. I went to this restaurant 3 days ago and I'm still thinking about their food. I want to say it's hands down the best Thai food I have ever had!!! They have been around for 9yrs or more and is a small family-run restaurant. They have a small space, I would say no bigger than a group of 6. I would highly recommend going here especially during the summer. For drinks, we got their fresh coconut (coconut water in the actual shell with fresh meat inside) soooo refreshing and perfect for the summer. We also got their thai iced coffee and their thai iced tea with lemon (it was my first time having it with lemon tea instead of milk and it was AMAZING). For food - we got their deep-fried tofu, sooo crispy on the outside and the sauce it came with was the best. Would recommend having their prig pao fried rice and pad kee mao noodles. The server asked her for our spice level and we said between medium and spicy, they nailed it! It was the perfect spice level for us. Last but not the least, the star of the show - the mango sticky rice. The presentation was spectacular but so was the taste. We loved it so much that we ended up ordering a second one!!

I really enjoyed eating here! Just by tasting their food, I felt like I was in Thailand. The food was delicious and came out quickly, even though they were moderately busy. The staff was friendly, and I would definitely come back--if they were closer to my place, I'd probably eat here often! The portions are huge, the prices are reasonable, and my husband and I loved everything we tried. My only wish is that the green curry was spicier, as we requested medium spice, but it was still very tasty. I definitely recommend this place! Mango stick rice comes out so pretty~ I haven't tried it yet but I will when I wake up tomorrow!

Service is great and everyone is greeted like family in this homely restaurant. Perfect for families. The food is great and the place is nice and clean. Tom yum was good and the mango sticky rice was so pretty. The chicken gai yang was marinated well and was tender.

Tasty legit Thai place on Hastings near Nanaimo. Parking is available on the side streets, as well as metered spots on Hastings. The place is pretty modern. Pretty paintings (drawings?) of flowers on the wall. Staff here are friendly. No complaints. They have Thai beers (Chang, Singha) available in bottles. Special mention. Crab & shrimp spring rolls (monthly special) - very unusual skin. Made of crispy "strings" instead of sheets. Reminded me of Mini Wheats (cereal). Comes with dipping sauce. Pretty tasty. Red curry - nice sauce. Pork slices were nice and moist. Decent portion size. Prad prig pao seafood - nice large chunks of grilled battered fish, with calamari rings, prawns, red peppers slices, and onions. Everything was covered in a sweet chili sauce. Could've been spicier, but very delicious. Special mention. Plain rice - not cheap, but not like there's a choice. The dishes above do not include rice. This is how they get you. Knock 0.5 stars off for value. The spiciness here comes in 3 levels. However, there is also a 4th "special hot" available upon request, as mentioned by the server. I was unable to communicate that this was what I wanted, so I ended up with "normal hot". The server did make things up by giving a small dish of red cut chili. Honestly I would recommend doing this for the authentic experience. "Normal hot" just doesn't cut it in my books. The food quality here is very good I must say. Just be prepared to spend a few bucks more than normal. Recommended.

Have been wanting to check out this Thai restaurant for awhile. I'm glad I did - 100% worth it! I would say their pad see ew is on par with the one I like from Siam La Bien. The dish was flavourful and cooked to perfection! Came here on a Wednesday evening 7:00pm and there was ample seating. Would definitely visit again.

Ordered the pad see ew, pad Thai and pad krao (minced chicken). The minced chicken dish lacked a bit of flavour but the pad Thai and pad see ew were amazing. The price point was very good for the amount of food we received and they also do lunch hour specials.

My younger brother had recommended this place for me to try so i ended up booking a 1 month advance mother's day dinner here to enjoy with our entire family. I can honestly say it did not disappoint. The menu had a large variety, oh and you can definitely appreciate aesthetically pleasing pictures at the same time too. Each item was described to the very T and that's perfect for anyone who has food restrictions or allergies etc. The prices were pretty reasonable too. The pork and chicken dishes were not dry at all. Tastes good in curry and also as a fried dish on its own. The fried rice was large and generous in portion, nieces loved the boat noodles. The soup is a pretty good size for 1 person as a full meal if you want otherwise it's good to share and have a few spoons each. As you can tell from the pictures we all went pretty wild with ordering .. wanted to try everything. It's honestly too hard to even just choose 1 favourite item so can i say all of the above? Restaurant service was top notch, ambiance was great! Lively and clean. Parking is easy and they take reservations and all forms of payment. Next time i want to try their mango sticky rice dessert since it is a growing up favorite in general.

Tasty food but the wait is ridiculously long and it's pretty expensive for the portions you get. They held some tables empty for reservations but the amount of time we waited, we could have totally taken the table, finished eating and they would still be able to flip the table. I would not recommend the papaya salad or fried rice - not very flavourful. I would recommend the Tom yum soup, skewers and mango sticky rice dessert.

Nice to see this place still around! Last time I was here was back in 2017 or 2018.. it's been a while. But everything about it is still great. We ordered a couple of their lunch specials and added Khao Soi and Thai Iced tea to drink. The lunch specials were a perfect size and a great value. Food was deliciousss and service was swift and great. Looking forward to coming back here again!

During our visit to Bai Bua Thai Cuisine on Hastings in Vancouver, we had the pleasure of trying six delicious dishes. 1-Crab & Shrimp Spring Rolls: Crispy, flavourful bites that left us wanting more. 2-Skewered Chicken Satay: Delightful flavours pairing it with their house-made sauce. 3-Pad Thai with Prawns: A classic noodle dish that satisfied our taste buds completely. 4-Pad See Ew: Rich and an actual comfort food experience. 5-Green Curry with Coconut Rice (medium spiciness): Creamy and a perfect balance of spices. 6-Mango & Sticky Rice dessert: A sweet treat with an incredible presentation. WE LOVE IT INDEED! We couldn't resist sipping on their refreshing Thai Tea served cold to accompany our meal. Not only did Bai Bua Thai Cuisine impress us with its authentic flavours and skillful preparation, but it also stood out as the best Thai restaurant in town. With delicious and Instagram-worthy dishes, this place offers an unforgettable dining experience. Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: ‍‍‍‍‍5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! Presentation: 4/5 Parking: Provide street parking in the neighbourhood or free parking at the East Village Parking lot, conveniently located behind London Drugs, about a block away. Tips: * Introduce a new menu featuring Thai Street food for enthusiasts. * Offer the convenience of online ordering through their website. * Offer four spiciness options on their curry dishes: mild, medium, spicy, and extra spicy (equivalent to Thai spicy for those who enjoy heat). Would I Return: Yes ‍

Came here after seeing posts on IG. 8 years in business and going... It's not surprising. Food and service are good, place is clean too. *Crab and Shrimp Spring Rolls very flavourful and smells soooo good. The dipping sauce adds a good touch *Gai Yang: loved the herbs and spices in this grilled chicken dish. Again the Jiaw chili sauce enhanced the flavour of the meat *Tom Yum Soup: what is Thai cuisine without this dish. Love it, can't have enough of it. *Som Tum or Green Papaya Salad was very refreshing *Pad Kaprao with Squid and Shrimp: Not a fan of squid so this dish is probably the lowlight of the night *Yum Kor Moo Yang: sliced pork jowl in tamarind dressing is one of my favorites tonight. *Pad Thai: flavour seems to be short of tamarind concentrate, thus lacking in taste *Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab: one of the best soft shell crab so far - flour or batter not too thick, crab is tasteful. Size of crab is a quite large for me to taste it. I've never had it this good. *Mango Sticky Rice: what is Thai food without this sweet dessert? Very nice presentation,

I came here after seeing plenty of influencer posts on my feed, but did not regret! I was there during a slightly busy Sunday lunch hour, but fortunately was seated immediately. The staff were quick and attentive. I ordered chicken green curry (lunch special), thai iced tea, and their beautiful mango sticky rice. The lunch special came in an adequate portion - enough for one serving. There were no options for the spiciness, so I assume the one given to me was regular. There was a hint of spiciness, but enough to enjoy the creaminess of the green curry. Perfect balance, IMO. The dish came with rice already and three pieces of crispy wonton. I love the variety of texture the wontons brought it. It was something to break the thickness of the curry and rice. The thai iced tea was was a good accompaniment to the main entree. It offered some sweetness and the usual notes thai tea has. The mango sticky rice was a feast to the eyes as it was for the tummy. With the sticky and chewy texture from the rice, mixed with the sweetness from the mango, and some creaminess from the sauce, it made for a perfect dessert piece! I'll definitely come back here next time, maybe try the place during dinner!

Downside was the calamari, the pieces are quite big which make it not as crispy as it would be. My partner really wanted to try their Boat Noodle for a while now so we were quite excited to try that dish. The waiter was nice and recommended a couple dishes for us. Som Tum (Papaya Salad) 3/5 The texture was nice and it tasted refreshing but it is QUITE spicy. I appreciate the authentic Thai spice level but it was too spicy for us. I liked the sourness and I know this rating is a very personal rating based on our spice tolerance. Roti with Curry Sauce 3.75/5 Nice, flaky roti that wasn't too oily. I wish there was a little more sauce. Pad See Ew with Crab Meat 4/5 Great flavor. There was a decent number of clumped up noodle but the portion was great. Good amount of crab as well. Boat Noodle Soup 4.25/5 This was the best boat noodle we had so far. Flavorful broth with generous portion of various meats. There could be an option to get more noodles but my partner got this and she was satisfied with the amount since there were good chunks of meat. Good heat that creeps up. Roselle Drink 3.75-4.5/5 Great compliment to the dishes as it lightened and refreshed our pallette. Slightly sour. It tasted better with the food than by itself. Thai Milk Tea 3.5/5 Good enough. Wasn't the best but wasn't bad. Rainbow Sweet Sticky Rice 4.25/5 We were surprised it came in a cup and that it was soup-ier than we imagined. I was hoping that they had mango sticky rice but we thoroughly enjoyed the coconut I think it's also important to keep in mind that this is a relatively fast paced restaurant. There is some wait so you want to finish your food, pay, and leave. The staff was nice but we could tell that they wanted to keep the flow. We would be coming back again for sure! We loved the staff and the food.
