You can taste the lavender powder that hasn't been fully mixed in yet. The coffee tasted a little weird to me. The boba in the drink wasn't the best. But if you are looking so somewhere to just sit and talk, they do have a good amount of seating. Overall, there are better boba places, but if nothing else is open, then this is your place.

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! My experience was not magical as the customer service inadvertently botched my drink order. There are steps upon entering which this business is not ADA compliant. Honey Jasmine Green Tea, $7.25 Disappointingly, there is no ice as I surely requested. Having ice in my drink is how I manage to stay cool on a hot day in June as I wanted a cold drink (no milk and no boba). I had finished my tiresome grueling long infinite workday and hoped for a cool down. This is the beginning of a infinite hot humid long revolving door New York City summer 2025. My drink was served cool, but not high Arctic extreme cold as I hoped and after a 1 hour 10 minute subway ride home my drink became room temperate. The grass jelly was also served room temperate, but not chilled. The honey overpowered the green tea. I tasted the honey in my Jasmine green tea which is rather sweet. The clear plastic cup is minuscule thin as I can poke my finger and the entire cup will break spilling all the contents. Tea Magic did not take heed to the magic. There is a large Japanese maneki-neko 招き猫 beckoning cat at the order counter blessing the business, greeting customers, serving as a good luck revered position and decoration. However, this beckoning cat did not raised its paw. There are two signs "DO NOT TOUCH THE LUCKY CAT." There is also a sign informing customers of "price adjustment notice due to inflationary pressures to sustain increased operational costs." Well... at least the proprietor(s) are honest and direct to customers. There is a loyalty card where after the tenth drink customers receive a $5.00 discount for the next purchase. These loyalty cards sit in a cute mini shopping cart. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit 1 train at 72nd Street in Upper West Side, Manhattan, NYC.

The 8-piece Assorted Boiled Dumplings came with 2 each of pork, vegetable, chicken, and shrimp (~$9). I like how this gave me the chance to try each of their dumplings. Personally I thought the shrimp was the best but overall the dumplings tasted good and were at a decent price point. However they were not unique among other boiled dumplings I've tried so not sure if I would order again. What I really enjoyed and would order again was the Beef Sesame Pancake Sandwich with cilantro and carrots. I really enjoyed the taste of the pancake as the bread and the cuts of beef did not taste stringy or old. I can't remember the price (cost more than the dumplings) but it was filling for a quick bite and something I would order again.

My desiderium was peach Oolong tea which I expressed audible, but received peach green tea. Okay, I like also green tea. Peach green tea, medium $7.00 I was very specific with my order request. There were two (2) workers hustling and bustling one handling the ordering and young Asian female operating register while the other very young Asian male perform order fulfillment. The very young Asian male worker egregiously fulfilled my drink order entirely inaccurate three (3) times! The first time he quickly rush through the robotic systematic motions of the ingredients which the female quickly retrieve as a sign that is not ready to place on a rotator to mix the drink. I look at my drink which appears no herbal jelly topping embedded as my default topping choice which the male worker also retrieve and blurted his confession "I forgot the herbal jelly." My default bubble tea drink topping favorite default grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is the best part and my primary reason for patronizing Gong Cha locations. Bro, you also forget to add ice! I did not receive any ice. I am a native New Yorker and always prefer ice in drinks who mirror a broader American obsession with icy beverages especially during the stifling hot humid summer months. Honestly, I wanted my drink to be sweating from the ice condensation but to no avail. It was served chilled which later turned room temperature warm during my long-haul subway ride home. Yuck! This bro is oblivious to the task without care and lacking utter attention of situational awareness as he is young, very naive and obvious possess minimal workforce life experience. Utter disappointment for dispirited. There was one customer who complained of his dissatifaction for drink inaccuracy fulfilled upon my entrance apparently I am not the only one whose drink order was incorrect. Aha moment!! I did received my sales receipt and drink label imitating Starbucks drink cup labels. I am enamored with their competitor Kung Fu Tea for their options and better customer service. There is a sticker mural of universities and colleges both local, some out of state and foreign. I immediately located my own alma mater and my family member's alma mater. Of course, Columbia University is prominently displayed gargantuan front and center with their official mascot Roar-ee the Lion since this Gong Cha location is within the locale.
