Best thai food I've had so far in NYC. Very affordable, the owners are nice and it's a great environment. Lunch special runs until 4pm even on weekends! Will be coming back :)

The inside of Living Thai is simple, clean and welcoming. It makes you feel like you're eating at home cooked meal in Thailand. The drunken noodle has generous amount of tender chicken and egg. It's not too sweet and has just the right amount of spiciness. For its quality and location, it has the most reasonable price point. The tom yum soup tastes clean and simple without over complicating spices. The service was warm and friendly, but the waitress was very busy on a Friday night. Overall, a gem of an authentic thai restaurant in UWS.

Had drunken noodle dish at Living Thai, a casual spot near Columbia. It had just the right amount of kick, flavor and spring to the veggies. It also came out nicely dressed and piping hot. Less than $20 which included an app., can of diet coke and tip. A bargain on the UWS.

I think overall, this is a pretty mid thai place. The food wasn't bad, but I didn't love it. One of my favorite dishes is duck so when I saw there was a duck curry, I jumped on the opportunity to order it! I was hoping it'd be a bit more flavorful, but it seemed like a pretty generic curry. I was happy that I was able to sit down with a decently large party of 6 pretty quickly on a Friday night, and I wouldn't mind coming again potentially if someone suggested it, but it's not a restaurant I would highly recommend and want to come back to frequently. The roti just wasn't really roti, but more like scallion pancakes without the scallions? It kind of felt like a thai restaurant was just trying to mimic other cultures and not doing any superbly.

Walked in to pick up my order. I was visiting my friend and this is a great local spot they order from. Prices were very fair and food was great - as expected! Inside was nice and down to earth.

Thought the portion sizes are great, I was still disappointed by flavors in the lunch special that I ordered to-go. Tom Ka Soup: Tasted like plain coconut milk; it had no other flavors. I normally love tom ka soup, but I couldn't finish this one. Red Curry: Doesn't have quite the depth of flavor that I am used to in a red curry. It was quite a large container of curry, though, and it was tasty enough that I ate it with all of the jasmine rice that came with the meal. I don't think I will be ordering tom ka or red curry from here again, but I may come back to try some of their more popular dishes.

I have ordered takeout from here quite often. I finally decided to dine in and had a nice experience. Overall good service but they did seem really busy. Lots of people came in for pick up orders. I ordered a small bowl of tom yum with shrimp, pad thai with chicken and the mango coconut sticky rice. Each item came out in order, depending on how much if it i had eaten so my server was definitely paying attention! 4/5 Tom yum soup - good but not the best tom yum i've had. There werent any spices/herbs (ex: lemongrass) in the soup which was nice (smoother eating experience). It was sour and had a light kick to it. They gave me three pieces of shrimp and there were mushrooms. 4/5 pad thai - i got a bit tired of eating it partway through but i'd already finished the soup so that might be why. Forgot to take a photo bc i was excited 5/5 mango sticky rice - mango was perfectly sweet and soft. The sticky rice was also really good but the outside formed a bit of a layer and was difficult to separate into smaller bites without it tearing more sticky rice so i ended up with a much bigger piece than i wanted. I didnt finish this but it was still really good the next day!

A cute, casual and affordable Thai restaurant near Columbia with good food and service! I came here with a friend on a Monday around 2:30pm and we had a great time. We made it in time for their lunch special (12pm-3:45pm) and it was so worth it!! For the special you can choose one starter and one entree. We both chose Tom yum soup for our starters, and I got drunken noodles for my entree while she chose one of the curries. All of that only came out to $14.11 each, which is amazing for NYC. Furthermore, we loved the Tom yum soup as it was perfectly flavored. I do think the drunken noodles tasted a bit bland especially in comparison to the soup, but I still really enjoyed my meal. Come by! Especially during the lunch special, maybe you'll see me there.

I ordered from Living Thai on a weekday for lunch. They have a lunch specials menu with several options to choose from, I selected the red curry with a side of shumai. Upon placing my order online, I received a phone call shortly after notifying me that the restaurant ran out of shumai, and I was presented with some alternative options for my side instead. I selected the chicken pot stickers. I think my order was prepped in record time for any pickup order that I have ever picked up from. Because once I hung up the phone I was already on my way out to go pick up my lunch. The pickup process was pretty seamless, the establishment prefers cash payments. My red curry was flavorful and the chicken pot stickers tasted like any normal chicken pot sticker, but the nice part about it was that it wasn't too oily. I would say for Thai takeout orders in this area, this place probably serves smaller portions when compared to their local competitors. Overall, this is a nice option for a lunch special if you don't mind smaller portions. The staff is very friendly and I wouldn't mind trying out a meal at the restaurant one day, since it looks pretty clean and inviting.

Lunch special is so worth it here! Came on a Tuesday with a friend ~1pm and we're seated immediately. We got both an appetizer and entre and food came out quickly. My green curry really hit the spot for me since it was a cold day.

Great Thai lunch spot! Portions aren't huge but they are enough. The soup was delicious and had a fair amount of pork in it. The fried tofu were just okay - i wish they had more flavor.

I came here on a lunch break and got the lunch special for a quick bite. The food came out super fast! I got the spring roll for an appetizer, basil chicken with rice as an entree, and lemon Thai iced tea. It was a very pleasant meal for a quick cheap bite. I've never had lemon Thai iced tea and almost drank the entire thing before remembering to take a picture. The waiter was really nice and the restaurant was super clean. Would recommend for a lunch special!

I have visited a number of times now and can honestly say that I very much savor their wonton soup which includes bok choy, bean sprouts, onions, chicken/shrimp wontons and a light veggie broth. Aside from the soups, I have sampled almost all of their lunch specials and it's pretty solid fare. Here's the caveat, I'm not usually a fan of thai food. I do believe that I like the food because it's not your traditional thai food. Although a number of dishes lean more towards the sweeter end, when an item is labeled as spicy please believe them. It's a small location that is still in the stages of building a steady clientele. The prices are affordable and they're pretty consistent when I stick to the standard basics.

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
