I have been to this restraunt half a dozen times. Its a good place to go to dinner if you have a large group but the food is only mediocre at best, and I would say the same for the customer service. The last time I went was one of the worst restraunt experiences I've had! I have never been a huge fan of their sushi ( and I am a sushi fiend!) but nothing on their Chinese food menu sounded good so i decide to order a cooked sushi roll (the lion king). It was pretty bad the seaweed was really chewy and the fish was poor quality. I have never sent a plate back to the kitchen before that. Then when i sent it back a waitress who wasnt my original waitress came up to the table and tried to give me a lecture on sushi, I have been eating sushi since i was a kid, I know good sushi when I taste it. Took the family here when they were in town for the holidays. Everyone got their favorites while I sampled a bunch of different items. The rainbow roll was deliciuos, as was the miso soup. Their general chicken is also very good, and I've had it for take out many times. If you need a quick meal, their dinner specials are very reasonable and you get a ton of food for the price. If you have time for a sit down meal though, the inside is nicely done and there are authentic themed private rooms for large parties, plenty of booths, a sushi bar, and even a koy fish pond. Rice Bowl, what is going on with the service the last 4 or 5 months?! Seriously. I've been coming here for years without a complaint in the world but the last handful of times I've had to go as far as walking up to a podium to get my own chopsticks and walking over to ONE OF my waitresses to ask for another drink. Food is always dropped off and were never checked on again. Took 15 minutes after being seated to take our order. I had to kindly remind you we needed drinks.and next time.. oh wait there won't be one... but if there was I won't hunt wait so long then have to ask for a check (The table next to us had to get up and go ask you for the check) I would just leave. And it wasn't even busy. Waitress was sitting down chatting at one point. So much for a 1 year anniversary dinner. I waited about five minutes to be seated and another fifteen minutes before walking up to a server to ask if she could take my order. Despite the fact that I had to find someone to serve my table, the server was very kind and helpful. She brought out our food right away and made sure that my table was happy. I ordered the hot and sour soup bowl and salmon cut rolls. The soup bowl was very cheap for its size. It was only $7, and it could probably fill two people. Like most places, they have special combination plates. If you have pocket points, you can get edamame and other free rewards. What I recommend for Japanese dishes is the Tonkatsu. Disappointing. Decent food, but unsatisfactory service and unsatisfactory response to complaint. Three of us went to dinner. One ordered a Bento box and two of us ordered Chinese entrees with appetizers. The Bento box arrived before the Chinese appetizers and the Bento box diner was done before the first Chinese entree arrived. The first Chinese entree was eaten before the second entree arrived. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First off, my cup of water had shit floating in it. So I asked for a new cup of water. This cup was filthy to the touch. So I just decided I wouldn't have anything to drink here because I just didn't want to deal with the dirty cups and water anymore. And that should have been my red flag. But I chose to order fried rice and a California roll, thinking that would be pretty safe to eat because nothing was raw in it. The food tasted like nothing I've ever had before, in the worst way possible. It was inedible. The fried rice was cold. And the California roll was soggy and mushy. I couldn't eat more than a few bites of my food. As soon as I got home I threw up what I had eaten at the restaurant, and continued to vomit the rest of the night. Ok, but they try to do too much. They serve Chinese and Japanese cuisine, and have a full sushi bar. Usually, a restaurant would choose to specialize in one of these areas (and maybe add a limited sushi selection on for kicks). Most of the food is decent, definitely edible. But it's overpriced for what it is. The chinese food is the best thing they serve, but even still it is uninspired and feels heavy/greasy. Hard to eat a lot of it. The japanese food is bland, and doesn't feel like japanese food to me. It lacks a freshness and openness that I always get with better Japanese places (like Ojiya!). The sushi... well, I'm a huge sushi fan, and it doesn't take much to satisfy me in that regard, but I honestly don't feel safe eating the sushi here. Whether that's justified or not, who knows, but looking at other reviews, I'm not the only one who feels that way. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with this place over the menus alone. And yes, that is plural. Options overwhelming. The in-house service can be hit or miss. But I've also had delivery from here quite a few times and I must say their delivery man is very kind and respectful. First , we were greeted by a gentleman with glasses and a older woman , both white. As soon as we were seated , we were given water , which was great . I ordered the Godzilla roll and the Ivan roll since last time I tried they they were amazing this time though was different. They both had a texture as if they had just been warmed up instead of made fresh and after digging around I noticed the spicy tuna appeared cooked. I always order out for dinner, and the portions are pretty big. Food is tasty and the sushi is great.

I ordered salt and pepper ribs on August 19th. On their new printed paper menu, it showed $12.95 for the item. On the web it shows $15.00 but when I went to pick up my order I was charge $18.95 for the dish. I mentioned the new menu and the web page showed a lower price and was told by the owner that those were not the current price. How is it legal to charge a totally different price than what's printed? Won't be eating there anymore. Stay away from them. Then to top it off... the ribs were over cooked and dried. Coming from San Francisco, I have enjoyed Salt and Pepper ribs for a lifetime and they are not dried nor burnt. Epic failure. I think I should also report their business practice to the BBB. Just imagine buying gas and the owner comes out and tells you the price posted is not right nor is the pump price right. I'm charging you an additional $10 on top because I can.
