Rice Junky has a casual and ambient atmosphere at night. I really enjoyed the meal there. They also serve food at the pub. You can enjoy it all day at the Korean pub. The CC chicken is served over rice and its delicious! It comes with mac salad, celery, and kimchi rice. It's not spicy. The beef me up is the best meal for the winter. I want to try other dishes at Rice Junky. The service is quick when I raise my hand. I saw a robot delivering food to the table. I definitely want to go back there again. read more

Yummy. The waiter was very kind! The CC chicken was so delicious. The spice and sweetness was a just the perfect amount where it didn't kill my tastebuds. The crispiness wasn't over done, making the chicken soft. The tteokbokki was more on the spicy side than sweet compared to other places. Although not my preference, it was still very good. The ricecakes were soft and chewy, and the fish cakes were good. Cheese corn was perfect! I like the swuare of american cheese haha. read more

I'm much more of a noodle than rice person and I wasn't feeling a rice bowl when I came to try this place out, so I wanted to look for different options that would still be refreshing and give me a taste of what Rice Junky is known for. I happened to see a review about a Galbi Wrap, and I actually really loved it and wanted to order a rice bowl after. First things first, the wrap kind of fell apart shortly after I tried cutting it in half. Maybe it would be wise and more helpful if the restaurant could help cut the wrap in half prior to wrapping it because my clumsy hands obviously couldn't handle the job right. I managed to salvage most of the insides back into the wrap, so I enjoyed the rest of my meal. I loved the sauce they gave on the side, but it wasn't really necessary with what was already inside the wrap. The galbi was cooked perfectly and very tender, easy to eat. Combined with the kimchi rice and other ingredients, I was pretty satisfied with the taste and even saved the other half for another meal the next day (and it still tasted really good). My other comment would be to cut the galbi into smaller pieces because mine came in larger pieces that were harder to eat without removing the entire piece from the wrap. Next time, I want to try their appetizers and rice bowls. Finally, I was in awe at the design of the restaurant. I can't imagine how much thought had to be put into making sure the design didn't pop out TOO much and didn't feel too messy, but I absolutely loved the type of vibe it gave off. And inside the bathroom? The hospitality that this restaurant provides for its customers is impressive! read more

I ordered the pork bowl and it was OK but nothing memorable. It wasn't dry or anything but there wasn't much flavor. The pork katsu came on a bed of rice and macaroni salad. I thought it was kind of weird and did not go well with the rest of the meal. Service was alright but I had a bad experience with their QR code ordering system. The app kept on timing out so every time when we enter in our orders into the cart, it would delete itself, and we would have to start over, which is quite a task when you are managing six people in our party. One of my friends had their order come out wrong, and they were charged extra for rice as well. I know the tech issues aren't really the fault of the waiter, but it does create some friction for diners. I like that they are open late, but I probably would not come back. read more

This place is so cute. It kinda stole my heart as soon as I walked in and saw the giant posters of all my favorite artists. Even to the bathroom. I'd like to be friends with the owner lol But anyways I enjoyed the food! I got the chicken with corn cheese and ramen. I came in the middle of the day but I would love to come back here late at night with friends. The vibe is so good and I can imagine the food hitting even more with some soju. The service was ok. I had to walk in to be greeted. The server came by with a QR code menu. The menu itself wasn't super extensive but there's a good variety of food. I had the Dope Pork Bubo with the spicy bbq. It was alright. Pretty standard. I would've given this place a 3/5 but they really deserve another star because their bathroom was stocked! I'm talking about toothbrushes, toothpaste, pads. All bathrooms should be like this. read more

It's unpretentious. Staff was helpful with recommendations and I'm not sure I'm lucky or not, but the waiter came out with a bowl of Korean snacks since I'm waiting for my friend. Just ordered the seafood pancake. Will update this review shortly. So far, so pleased! Update: the seafood pancake was good! Would've like it a little more fried tasting than charred, but it actually reminded me to attempt to eat more healthfully and start working out. Blessed for that, so I appreciate the healthier version, though this was certainly an afterthought. The beef glass noodle was yummy! I loved the thicker noodles and there was plenty of beef. The broth was on the sweet side, but unique because of this. Didn't need the soju. Will opt out next time :) They were gracious enough to allow me to pack up the snacks for to go along with the leftovers. Babe wasn't able to make it to the restaurant but he'll enjoy it tonight. read more

As soon as you walk in, it feels like the Korean version of an American diner. Kpop on the main screen, idols decorating every inch of the wall. Let's get back to it CC Chicken w/ Cheese Corn -- Had to try this as this was why we came here, taste wise it was AIGHT, definitely PIC WORTHY Galbi w/ Cheese Corn -- The complete opposite, BEST one IMO, although def not photo worthy Tteokboki -- Very safe choice, nice way to cleanse the palate between the meats Anyways, I definitely recommend y'all check out this super chill spot while you're in the area! read more

Such a fun late-night place! The hours are perfect for any late dinners or late night snacks! I got the CC Chicken Bowl (without tomatoes and celery) and it was really tasty!! I love the fun vibes and decorations-- it really makes it a fun little hangout place. :) The main difference I would like to see is a really minor problem. They play some kpop music videos inside, however the music they play from the restaurant speakers are completely different. If they were to play the music from the music video at least sometimes I think it would really elevate the fun-ness and make the experience a little more enjoyable and less distracting. :( read more

4.3/5 stars! The ambiance and interior design of this restaurant instantly caught my eye! I loved how fun the neon signs were, along with the KPOP playing on the TVs and speakers. As we came on a Thursday night, it wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. We ordered through a tablet, which I liked because we could add on more items if we were still hungry. - Chicken on Fire Bowl with Kimchi Fried Rice 4/5: The bowl came with fried chicken cutlet dusted with spicy chili powder, a choice of sauce (chili, white, angry, BBQ, mac salad, tomatoes, celery, shredded cheese, and cabbage. You can choose between kimchi fried rice, egg fried rice, or simple steamed rice. I really enjoyed the kimchi fried rice and mac salad together. The chicken was fried to perfection, staying juicy and tender! It wasn't too spicy in my opinion, and the white sauce wasn't heavy on the bowl. I did order the BBQ sauce on the side to try, and I'm glad I did because I did prefer it with more sauce. The cabbage was refreshing against the fried cutlet, as well. Not pictured, but we also ordered the High-Ju Yokult, which is a soju slushie with yakult/yokult added. This was a 5/5 for me because it was super delicious and not too strong. It was slightly creamy and sweet, easy to finish. This is an exciting spot to hang out at, they have lots of foods to try and snack on while you enjoy some drinks. Next time, I'll be sure to try out their rice cakes and other alcohol choices! read more

Came here for dinner with some friends on a Saturday evening a couple of weeks ago. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but once seated, you order from your phone through a QR code. Between the 4 of us, we shared cc chicken w/corn cheese, fish cake soup, dukbokki, pork skewers and a bottle of soju. Food was only ok. Nothing stuck out or was that great that I'd want to visit again. Portions were only average as we were still hungry after so headed somewhere else for a second meal. Upside is that they open late and restrooms were clean. read more

What a fun vibe! I'd come here for a late night eat any time especially since they have perfect pub food with just the right amount of portions. When we went though, we went for lunch and all the food we ordered was okay. We ordered a cheese tteokbokki and it honestly felt like the instant kind. It was super average but I wouldn't pay as much as I did for it. The sweet and spicy chicken was really good and so was the Mac salad that came with it. I wish they had kimchi or other side dishes since we had radish but it didn't feel like enough. The vibes were so fun and love the bot waiter! read more

Pretty decent food but fairly disappointing service. We like these blended cuisine kind of places, which are becoming increasingly common. There was place in Cupertino that once served bulgogi burritos, but they closed down long ago and I hadn't yet found a similar place. A recent Yelp search turned up this place, and we were eager to give it a try. We visited for lunch and it was quite un-busy - I'm guessing that it's much more alive in the evening since it advertises itself as a pub and they have an extensive selection of alcoholic beverages. The one rather disinterested person behind the counter pointed us to a table and we set about perusing the menu. Ordering and payment is all done via QR code, which is convenient but also makes it far more impersonal. We got two wraps - a galbi wrap with egg rice and BBQ sauce and a crunch pork wrap with kimchi rice and chili sauce. Both were fine, but I don't think the mac salad inside the wrap works all that well. The galbi was decently seasoned but the pork cutlet was a little overcooked and dry. Both the sauces (served on the side per our request) were nice. One quibble we had with our wraps, however, is that they were more short and fat as opposed to long and narrow, and as a result it didn't hold together very well. We finished off the meal with a knife and fork. The restaurant decorated in photos of different K-Pop bands. They have a corner that's obviously set up for Insta photos (yes, I got a picture of myself doing the heart thing with the fingers but I'm not posting it here). One nice touch is that in the bathroom there are toothbrushes and mouthwash available - and anyone who eats a lot of Korean food, like we do, will know the importance of breath freshening after a meal. The only thing that should have been better was the service. Other than bringing us our food and water, the person at the counter didn't check up on us at all. It's not like he was busy either - there was only one other table occupied when we were there and no DoorDashers came in during this time. It would have been nice to have gotten a refill on our drinks. read more

Asian fusion, it was kinda different from the authentic Korean food I'm use to but I must say it was pretty good. I had the crispy chicken bowl and my friend got the pork dish with cheese corn. Atmosphere and music was pretty cool I see myself going back to try something different next time in San Jose. read more

A very good 'late night' take out spot. Not the healthiest but the bowls do have alot of protein and just tastes like comfort food. i've tried the galbi wrap which i shared with someone else and is plenty of food. First time here! *Be aware that this location DOES NOT serve the Triangle Kimbaps (3 for $10 deal) and their $3.99 Kimbaps!* Despite that, I still enjoyed my meal! We started off with simple French Fries which took forever to prepare but, worth it! You could taste that these were freshly made. I ordered a Bulgogi Ramen (mild spice level, no kick or anything) and man, was it good! The noodles had a similar texture as Shin Black Ramen instant noodles, bulgogi was on point and the broth was very tasty. I also ordered the Crack Kkochies Skewers Sample and that was literally heaven sent from Earth (the cringiest thing I've said over the course of 3 years). But, the combination of all the sauces, 4 skewers AND with Cheese Corn?! Chef's kiss. Last but not least, I ordered a Strawberry Soju! This was a cherry on top for me. I simply could've not ordered this and my meal would be just fine but this made it even better! The vibes at this location were quick and easy. We ordered from a kiosk, requested for the server and our bill through the kiosk. There were K-POP performances on the TV (no audio) and K-POP music playing as well. Had my eye on this place for a while. Came here after work on a day I had skipped lunch and had a long day. CC - Cocaine Chicken was the obvious order for me as a first time visitor. I went for the Dupbop with the Kimchi Fried Rice. It was mind blowing! Felt like fire for some reason, lol. Wasn't spicy as such though, but just felt like fire, even though the other chicken cutlet dish is called chicken on fire. Was super tasty, and crispy, and saucy (sweet and a tad spicy). Everything that I like in my chicken. Kimchi Fried rice was delicious too. I gobbled up my food within a few minutes. Haven't been back since, will be soon, to probably try the chicken cutlet, the bowl/wrap and some of their new dishes that I'm seeing now. I recommended the dish and the place to a few friends and they all pretty much loved it. The service was quick, and the ladies at the counter were extremely friendly, and had recommendations based on my preferences. They even checked with me twice to see how the food was, and if I was doing okay and needed anything else. Great ambience, open till midnight, I think it's definitely an ideal spot to come in for a few beers and Korean food (love the combo!) during the weekend. The rosé teokpokki was the only thing that saved this meal. If i'm being honest, the chicken didn't have much flavor it was very standard fried chicken. The katsu was very crispy though! The kimchi fried rice that comes with the bowls was cold and not flavorful. Kind of like mixing cold kimchi in room temperature white rice. Service was very quick and friendly. Super Korean themed bar/eatery with great food to back it up!! I went here last minute as a lot of other places were closed and was pleasantly suprised when i entered. This is a themed bar with even the restrooms always giving you something to look at. Food is ordered through the little tablet and came out quickly with the water and soju. The real reason i wanted to write this review was the wrap that i order ( as seen in the picture). I couldnt even get a solid picture in before i devoured the wrap!! I got the Dope chicken wrap with angry sauce and it is a MUST-TRY!!! Seafood pancake and the skewers were good as well but did not blow my mind like the wrap did. Delicious Korean comfort food with pub-like vibes. It feels really homey coming here and service is attentive. I got the CC Chicken Rice Bowl and it was filling for me. The flavors of the chicken bites were so good with their house macaroni salad. I wish I ordered more of this on the side. The seafood pancake was simple but yummy. Lots of parking, plenty of seating. Service: 3/5, water was never refilled Skewers: 3/5, got my finger burned because the stick was fresh off the grill and somewhat still on fire. Should I be more careful? Yes. Should the resturaunt not make the skewer sticks on fire? Yes. Chicken dupop: 5/5 easily the best meal I've had in a very long time, must try. read more

Got the CC Chicken bowl (non-spicy / lemon pepper) with the white sauce on side. The chicken is very crunchy and flavorful! I was worried about getting the sweet and spicy version but I tried my friends and in my opinion it's not spicy at all! The white sauce is mayo based and is relatively sweet and I think balances the chicken well! read more

I found Rice Junky on Yelp when looking for somewhere closely to find lunch on a Saturday. There's plenty of parking as it's in a shopping mall. We were able to be seated quickly before the lunch rush came in. Using a QR code, we go to a website that tracks the order for our table. We could also place an order, request a receipt, and more through that link. We had quick, polite, and awesome service. The ambience was very clean and modern. There is a small space with neon signs for IG photos. The decor was very Korean, with pictures of K-pop stars, a TV showing a K-pop dance competition, and pictures of the restaurant's food. The bathroom is one of the cleanest restaurant bathrooms I've ever seen, with a number of amenities like disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste too. The food itself was delicious. We shared an and each got a Dope Pork bowl (spicy bulgogi). The bowl was very filling, great amount of flavor and spiciness for the bulgogi. I'll definitely come back again, most likely for an evening outing since they open until midnight! read more

Been to rice junkie multiple times for lunch as well as for dinner. The service is always quick and fast however I do not like the new digital menu that they have especially if you're on the tables close to the wall. Their selection of sauces is always very interesting and I'm yet to try them all. The ambience is somewhere in between a fancy restaurant and a fast casual. Definitely get their corn and cheese combination either with the chicken or with the pork. read more

tl;dr A very unique Korean pub experience that is better than others I've been to in some ways, a bit strange in others I have tried the dope pork hot plate with cheese corn and the cc chicken rice bowl twice. If you're like me and like to eat a balanced meal with carb + protein + veggies whenever possible, you might have to settle with only carbs and protein as there aren't really many options with veggies. The cc chicken bowl is almost great, but the creamy mac salad in the middle of it kind of kills it for me. It's so different in both taste and texture from everything else that it makes the taste profile fall apart. What Rice Junky does have is a chill and fun atmosphere, friendly staff, a cool autonomous robot that can bring you your food, and either kpop or cooking/watching people eat shows to watch while you enjoy your dinner! read more

A great late night spot for Korean eats! I've been to the Fremont location for their wraps (which are soo delicious), but that location is to-go only so I was excited to try the Santa Clara location. There was quite a line when we got there, but the place is very efficient and they got everyone seated without a super long wait. The place has a retro look with the lighting and pictures everywhere. The food was okay. It was more like fast food sit down and small appetizers. Upon ordering the only order we like was crack kkochies but preferably the pork one since it has the most flavor. The beef and shrimp skewers are completely bland. My partner order instant fiesta ramen and it was nothing special. I don't think we would be returning back to this location. Also I just recently found out that different locations serve different types of food options so maybe we would try the area in San Jose instead. The service was self serve ordering on the tablet so we didn't get the customer service. The place is very bar like so great for group parties. Went with my friends and was told to wait outside until all of us were here, so we waited by the door. Then we got told off again to wait all the way out IN THE RAIN. This reminds me of Dan Sung Sa (Porno Palace) in Oakland! Similar vibes, but the food here is SOOOOO good. Got the CC chicken bowl and CC chicken wrap as well as the croquettes, and my goodness, they were all delicious! We ate everything, great portions as well. I usually eat a lot and never feel full, but the bowl was perfect. Didn't try the other stuff yet, but the CC chicken is definitely worth a try read more

At the bar, we tried to order a mezcal margarita and were immediately told that mezcal was more expensive and that they already had a pre-batched margarita made with tequila. After we asked again and the bartender agreed to make the drink with mezcal, there was no receipt for us to sign. We were then told that all the Brazilians there would automatically have an 18% gratuity added to their checks. What does being Brazilian have to do with an automatic gratuity? Later, I went outside briefly to show my friend the outdoor area. A server stopped us and told us we couldn't be outside. I explained that I was simply showing him the space and that we were going back inside, but she specifically told us that "the Brazilians have to stay inside." I completely understand that venues need rules, designated areas, and crowd control. What I do not understand is why those rules were repeatedly communicated to us specifically in terms of being Brazilian. What made the experience even more disappointing was that when we mentioned the way we were being treated to a Brazilian employee, her response was essentially that Brazilians have a habit of thinking they are being treated badly. This isn't about "thinking" we were treated differently. We were repeatedly singled out by nationality. The friend who was with me has worked in hospitality for more than 10 years, and we both understand how challenging it can be to manage a busy venue. This was different. I have been a regular customer here and have visited with my American coworkers without ever experiencing this kind of treatment. That contrast is exactly why Saturday's experience was so upsetting. I left feeling discriminated against and honestly still cannot believe that, in 2026, customers could be spoken to this way based on their nationality. I'm still deciding whether to share this experience more broadly on social media, but I believe management should take what happened seriously, speak with the staff who were working that evening, and make sure no other customer is made to feel unwelcome because of where they come from.

My pet peeve is when fried chicken wings are dry. Yet I paid over $18 for chicken wings. I thought I would get a dozen of wings; I only got five wings. For $18 I could have gone the deli section at the grocery store to get eight or ten pieces of fried chicken. Overall the Smithwick's was soothing but given the prices of food especially during a World Cup watch party there should have been more items listed on the food menu.

Which I'm sure is a health code violation. It seems they've started cutting corners in the kitchen, and it shows up in the product. The problem is mostly back-of-house Jashn had so much potential when they first opened, and it's disappointing that things have gone downhill. We will not be going there again.

It isn't fancy inside, but it has that easy, comfortable Korean restaurant feel where you can come in hungry and know you're leaving full. We tried a few different dishes and everything was flavorful and satisfying. The ramen came out hot and comforting with a nice broth, noodles, and green onion. The rice bowl was packed with saucy crispy meat, kimchi rice, cucumber, tomato, and a creamy side that pulled everything together. The tteokbokki was bright, spicy, cheesy, and cozy, with plenty of rice cakes and fish cake in that classic red sauce. The wrap was really good too and packed full with meat, lettuce, sauce, and cheesy richness. It was filling in the best way and definitely one of the standouts. One thing I really liked is that they give you a lot of food. The portions feel generous without the prices feeling ridiculous, which makes it a good option when you want something casual but still filling and flavorful. They also have a good selection of food, so it's easy to find something whether you're in the mood for noodles, rice bowls, spicy Korean comfort food, or something more handheld. The space itself is pretty normal and simple, nothing over the top, but it works for what it is. I also noticed they offer 50% off beer from 11am to 4pm every day, which is a pretty nice deal if you're going earlier in the day. The only thing that brought the experience down was the service. Our server wasn't very friendly and seemed pretty surly, which stood out because the food itself was enjoyable. It wasn't enough to ruin the meal, but it did make the overall experience feel a little less warm than it could have been. We ordered cc chicken pan dish (sweet and spicy) for $15.99, chicken was pretty tasty. The corn cheese in the picture made it seem bigger than it actually was. Also got the seafood pancake for $12.99, it was a good pancake, but it was a veggie one with no seafood texture at all. Maybe there was a hint of seafood taste, but it seemed like they just sprinkled some powder. I couldn't find any squid, octopus, or shrimp in it. Lastly, got the crunch pork bowl for $15.99, the kimchi fried rice didn't have much flavor, but I really liked the pork. Overall, the food was good, but there's definitely room for improvement. We typically get a 1-meat combo which is more than enough for our 2-3 person family. The portions are huge and the banchan is refilled so unless you're craving tons of different meats, no need to order a ton more. I also love their tofu soup, it's not too oily and also keeps well if you have leftovers. The interior is clean and well kept so you'll be comfy with a group anywhere from 2-6 people.
