Probably one of the best Korean food spots I've ever had here in the bay area. The service was amazing, especially with only one server running around helping everyone out. All of the food is fresh and seasoned perfectly. Other Korean spots shine in some dishes and are decent in others, but Danbi is delicious overall no matter what item. Definitely would recommend!!!

The food is good. I've had better. The service is meh. Parking is a slight bother but nothing terrible. The spicy fried chicken was not spicy. Like 1/8 a seedless jalapeno of heat. It was more of a pain than not to pay. They just don't have anyone working here and paying attention to customers. I've had better service at cheap AYCE places. The place looks fine. Our table was clean.

Tasty and comforting Korean food with great portions! I never fail to order a seafood pancake and this was crispy, not too oily, and generously filled with seafood and green onion, definitely one of the better I've had in the Bay. Can't go wrong with the soy glazed fried chicken either. The spicy calamari stir fry dish was something new for me and I really enjoyed the flavor! Loved the variety and freshness of the banchan too (the staff was kind enough to refill our favorites)! Service was solid and it's a clean, spacious, homey vibe inside.

Good family run joint. Pictures are from two separate visits. Spicy fried chicken- was crispy, juicy and flavourful inside out. Bulgogi -enough good quality meat.

Yesterday, my brother, aunt, and I hosted a memorial lunch here for my mom. This restaurant has a special meaning to us as my brother and I hosted a 70th surprise party for her several years back. Pros- the food is really tasty! Several guests told me it's their go to spot for Korean food (gmta!) Janet, the new owner also ensured that some of my favorite bonchon were served. I requested the potatoes in the sweet shoyu sauce and broccoli with sesame oil, so delicious! We took up one whole section of the restaurant and the serving team was great! Cons- no private room, although I think they have the potential for one. They were super accommodating though despite this... we almost took over the restaurant, especially organizing for a group picture! We were even able to use additional tables to hold the desserts and gifts for our guests too. I thought that was very nice!

Quaint Korean restaurant with very sweet aunties helping us! The food came out quick and delicious. Good portions for the cost too The Bibimbap Stone Bowl: my mom likes it when the rice is crispy at the edges from the stone pot but this one didn't have crisps. It definitely kept the food warm throughout the meal which was nice Fried Chicken: We chose soy garlic flavor for the chicken and it was perfect. Crispy and juicy and good amount of flavor without being too salty. We also got the soon dubu and there was a lot of tofu and toppings which was great!! Staff was friendly and replenished our banchans often. We got lucky with street parking right in front of the restaurant.

This is a regular spot for my sister. She loves it here. For me, it's just ok. The service is quick and friendly. I think their seafood pancake is one of the better ones in the area. It's very crispy and flavorful. The beef jeon was not for me because it's too soft and eggy. It's my sister's favorite so to each their own. I also enjoyed how they make their kimchi. I wouldn't order the galbi tang again because the meat was tough and I didn't care for how they made the soup. The restaurant was surprisingly spacious and had an old school vibe.

We came here for dinner after we had originally planned to go to the soft opening of Rice Junky Katsu but the wait was too long. We got seated right away even though the restaurant was pretty packed. We ordered pork tofu soup and fried chicken. The tofu soup I got it in medium spicy. It had no spice but the flavor was good. The fried chicken was only chicken wings/drumsticks, but still good. The servers were super nice even though they were super busy. I would come back!

9/10 Tried Korean food for the first time here, and impressed! We started with the Beef Short Ribs an absolute must-order. Perfectly sweet and savory, tender, and bursting with flavor. Easily a 10/10! The Bulgogi was good--definitely on the sweeter side with plenty of green onions. Not my top pick compared to the short ribs, but still tasty if you like a sweeter profile. The Hot Bibimbap was another highlight. The mix of fresh veggies, beef, and that perfect runny yolk made every bite delicious. The slight sweetness from the beef balanced nicely with the savory rice and vegetables. Even the sides stood out--the kimchi was flavorful and had just the right kick, and I really enjoyed the potato banchan as well. Service was fast and efficient, staff were attentive, and the ambiance was warm and spacious great for families or larger groups. Overall, if you come here, make sure to get the Beef Short Ribs and the Bibimbap--those two alone make the visit worth it!

    Seafood soft tofu soup 5/5

Solid spot for soft tofu soup! I ordered the seafood sundubu-jjigae in the spiciest level they had, super delicious! Velvety spoonfuls of silken tofu, with bubbling hot, tasty broth, absolute perfection. Great selection of banchan, very yummy, and love the refills! My mom said she would definitely order the mackerel again, it was lightly salted and fresh. Family also liked the bibimbap and the fried rice dish. I came after work right when they opened for dinner and it was a nice, relaxing atmosphere. It was quiet, and after a hectic day, I really needed that . Inside was clean, spacious, and had several dining tables. Their staff is excellent, very welcoming, warm and efficient! I've come here with coworkers before and they highlighted their cheese hot stone pot and the galbi tang that I want to come back and try next time!

I think this is my fourth or fifth time here! I usually get the mushroom tofu soup with vegetarian broth or the tofu bibimbap. The tofu soup is the best I've had in the bay. The tofu bibimbap isn't anything special but I still liked it. I wish there was more variety in the vegetables instead of just the four veggies. Service is good! They apologized for the wait but I genuinely don't think we waited very long. There's street parking right in front of the restaurant and also a small lot to the left.

10/10 authentic Korean food. All the banchan was perfectly seasoned and the tteokbokki was perfectly cheesy and spicy without being too greasy. Good service and homey family owned restaurant vibe.

Stick to rice dishes like the hot stone pots. Chapchae is made with noodles made out of sweet potato starch. Go for the soups. Bulgogi. Korean restaurants have far more gluten-free options than most other types of restaurants.

I'm glad I did and was definitely delighted by the experience. Hot Stone Bibimbap 5/5: There was a review on Yelp saying that there was no crunchy rice at the bottom and that it was bland. As a fellow Korean, let me give you some advice. Wait a few minutes and let the rice cook more because the stone bowl is still hot. lift up the bottom until you see crunchy bits and then you could start mixing. Excellent mix of seasoned vegetables and rice. They give you the gochujang bottle sauce on the side. you can adjust it to your level. Soon Tofu Soup 5/5. I've had a lot of tofu soup of what I like about this one is that it had a good balance of tofu, kimchi was not super sour like some restaurants and they give you an egg on the side. Very clean finish. Banchan 5/5: The highlight for me was the banchan. I went with a very picky eater friend and she really loved the kimchi ,the cucumber kimchi ,the fish cakes, japchae. They put a lot of effort into making the banchan - which I recognize right away. They also fill up if you run out and the dishes are larger than normal restaurants. Amazing. You read my mind. Interior 4/5: It is a smaller, more intimate seating.( about 25-30 people) . It still has the vibes of of a Korean eatery with K-pop music playing on the TV screen, wooden benches and chairs. You'll have to wait a bit if you go during peak hours and parking is a bit difficult. I suggest going within the first hour they open up when there's less crowds.

For the cold noodles, it was pretty refreshing and a bit light in flavor. It came in a icy vinegary broth with noodles, half a boiled egg, pickled daikon and some pieces of galbi (short rib). Also had option of adding more vinegar and/or mustard if you wanted. The noodles were chewy but that's how it is, recommend asking for some scissors to cut the noodles if it's hard to chew. For the spicy buckwheat cold noodles, it had much more flavor, had a gochujang base, and thicker. It came with half a boiled egg, pickled daikon and pieces of galbi. For the tofu soup, we got the chicken and mushroom which was fine. In addition, the sides were good as well. Service was good.

We ordered the beef soup and the appetizer short ribs, which is about 6 pieces. The sides were good, special shout out to the warm jjapchae! The short ribs came out sizzling, and had a great char with a sweet soy sauce flavor. Meat was tender and had the perfect chew to it, such a comfort meal with the rice. The beef soup came boiling, and there was a generous amount of beef, mushrooms, and tofu. The only complaint I have is the soup ratio was less than what I'm used to so about halfway through the pot there wasn't much soup left to pour onto the rice the way I normally do. But that's not a bad thing, means you're getting more protein! Service was great, but it's a bit expensive from what I'm used to so I docked a star. I'll check out other places and see if this is just the normal pricing for the area.
