Rick and his team are legendary. he painted my 66 custom supercharged mustang 13 years ago, and i reached out to him recently to respray the camper shell on my 2014 chevy silverado, it was oxidizing pretty bad in the sun outside.... not only did he do an amazing job by sanding it down, spraying it factory jet black, and a beautiful clear coat and buff, i only asked him to do the top and blend it but he re clear coated the whole shell and UNDER the price he quoted, he also buffed out my headlights for free.... i cannot say enough good things about rick kreher customs.... ill be bring my ferrari f430 in there shortly to respray the bumper from some dings from the previous owner(i dont trust just anyone w that car, needless to say) thats how much i trust his crew read more

This place was recommended by another car enthusiast. It's no lie we are a huge car family. The Mister's baby has easily 500K on the chassis. He was looking for a body shop to do some sprucing up on his car, replacing out the wing, trunk, side skirts and making sure the paint matched, all that fun stuff. Extraordinary work & customer service!! Just be smart and take your car directly to Rick Krehers Kustoms! Trust me, you will not be anything but satisfied!! Unfortunately, I was in a car accident on the 55 freeway heading to work one morning. I was rear-ended pretty badly and I thought the insurance company would've totaled my car but they decided to fix it. First they had it towed to Caliber Collision. Caliber called me and said they tore my car apart and will be putting after-market non-Honda parts on my car. Excuse me?! Umm no, you will not be touching my car any further Caliber. Did I mention that I'm 6 months pregnant and will be having a newborn in my car in a few months and do not feel safe in a car with after market parts?! I immediately called Rick and told him my concerns with the after-market non-Honda parts they wanted to put on my car. Rick told me to have my car towed to his shop and he will make sure that me and my car will be taken care of. I had my car towed to Rick's and of course Caliber "forgot" to put all the parts they tore off on the tow truck. Greg, who is Rick's right-hand man at the shop, went out of his way and drove over to Caliber Collision and asked for the parts they forgot to give me. I've never heard of a body shop go out of their way to make their clients this happy. Rick even dealt with the Insurance company for m since it was just stressing me out. Needless to say, after my car was with Rick and his guys, they did an amazing job on my car. I'm going to embarrass myself and tell you that I hit a stationary, concrete, black poll backing up out of my work with my white, brand new Honda Civic. Scraped the living $hit out of the front bumper and headlight and dented the fender. I was referred over to Rick and his merry men to take get an estimate. I should have reviewed this shop long ago. Was looking for some one to repaint my 38 Chevy Sedan. The car was painted in 1996 and started to bubble and crack. I took it to Rick and told him I wanted just the way it was originally. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Then let the one attached do the talking. Well, He did such a great job, I took him my next project, my 2002 Dodge Viper. I wanted the entire car brought back tp the way it was when it was delivered from the factory. Rick could have easily sanded and primed the car and painted it. Instead he did exactly what I hoped he went through every panel and made sure it was perfect! Fixed and fitted the panels perfectly. Vipers are not bolted together they are mostly riveted. Rick drilled out the rivets because painting over them wouldn't be the correct way. He didn't cut any corners. I picked the car up a couple days ago and I can't stop looking at it. It is perfect he really out did himself! read more

Just wanted to take a few moments to thank you Rick... Just so everybody knows this is going to be a long review. I'm the proud owner of a 1966 Mustang that was involved in a severe(totaled) accident... To make a long story short, I completely rebuilt the car in my garage and even try to paint it myself. Everything came out perfect except for the final stage of paint which did not adhere to the primer and was definitely not up to par to say the least... turns out I might have accidentally mixed reducer instead of hardener for the clearcoat stage, which made the clearcoat never actually harden and you could see your thumbprint in the paint three weeks after I painted it in my garage. I found Rick on yelp and he volunteered to come to my house after work for free to give me an estimate on the car. He agreed that the paint was totally botched and not even knowing who I was offered to let me borrow his infrared heat lamp for an undetermined amount of time to try to attempt to dry the paint while he finishes up a project until I can drop my car off. After we found that it would not dry off he decided He would have to completely strip the paint, re-primer the car, do some minor bodywork, shoot additional basecoat, and a new stage of clearcoat. Bottom line is that Rick gave me a smoking deal because he was sympathetic to my plight of trying to make it happen on my own, and he is one of the coolest guys I have ever met. He's an old-school guy with old-school values and I slept good at night, I showed up at his shop unexpected multiple times and every time my car was at a different stage and moving along nicely. Considering I live up the street.... my car was totally effed up and now it is totally show room condition thanks to Rick Kreher. If you have any project and you want to take to somebody that you can trust I highly recommend Rick Kreher for any project you have that has to do with anything related to auto body, him and his crew are super cool and hard-working down-to-earth guys. read more

Rick is the man to see. I was here last week after my wife was in an accident with a Strawberry stand, yes you heard right - a Strawberry Stand. She was on the 22 freeway and a stand flew off a truck and nailed her car - the front bumper was smashed in and the car look like it...hit a Strawberry Stand. COST: After getting quotes from two other dealers and sending them to Rick, he came back with a quote that was lower and the exact same specifications as the other shops. He honored this quote also with no surprises in costs. SERVICE: Rick was very accommodating and made sure everything was done in a timely manner, including drop off and pickup times. He was accurate with his estimated repair time. WORK: Extremely good details, I've seen some crap jobs done and his work made the car look exactly as it was before the accident (if not better). The paint was not easy to match as the car has the special Honda OEM Metallic in it, he matched it perfectly. The bumper itself and parts used for the repair were also OEM. Overall this is a very good shop to have repairs done, Rick is an honest, hardworking guy and it shows, he is personable and does business they way it should be done. Not only did his cost beat the bigger shops out there but his service levels were excellent. I only wish all businesses treated their customers this way, big thumbs up. I was on a visit to SoCal from San Jose when I got into a fender-bender with a truck. The rear passenger side door was totally damaged beyond repair. Luckily I was referred to Rick, who did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. He suggested getting a 'new' used door as a replacement. The door that he ordered was of the same matching color as my car - so no additional painting was necessary. One cannot tell that the door was replaced. Moreover, once the replacement door arrived, he performed the repairs in one day - with hardly any inconvenience to me. I heartily recommend Rick and his shop. read more

Excellent work. Had them install rear spoiler on my Buick GS 455. They put alot of extra work smoothing the spoiler pedestals to match contour of trunk. They also color matched the paint of spoiler to rest of car perfectly. read more

I read these other guys reviews and I see why they were happy with Rick Kreher's Kustoms, everything they say is true Rick is the kind of pro. you want to deal with. I recently took my Linc. Cont. to him to have the big dent on the drivers side door finally fixed after two years. The reason I didn't do it sooner is because I've been unemployed for two years and didn't have the $$$. Fortunately I found his ad on Crags-list and I was able to do some Bartering with him, even though I didn't deal with any cash with Rick he did not cut any corners and left my car looking great. First off, Rick is a really chill dude that's the only reason this review is getting 2 stars. Otherwise if you are getting a car painted with a single stage matte finish, I would not go here. I had 4 panels sprayed on my car and had to bring it back to the shop 2 times to redo. Finally picked it up today to find the paint was still off and there was damage to the paint on the window trim. I think this experience just beat me down. I didn't even bother to complain. I'll just take it to another shop and pay to get it repainted. Like I said, Ricks a nice dude but I have never had to deal with a rollercoster experience like this. Im tired and over it. Best of luck to you guys. read more

I was sure after my last experience with a new car that needed painting, that the paint on my 10 year old red Lexus would never match. Boy was I wrong! Rick did such a great job and did extra detail work on my old lights making them look new too. Great experience at Kreher's. A friend of mine recommended this auto shop after I damaged my car in an accident. My car needed frame work, light body work, and new parts to replace the radiator and condenser and more. Rick kept great contact with me by phone and by email. He sent me pictures of the damages and the repair and gave me very fair pricing. He asked me which route I wanted to take to get things fixed in regards to after market and factory made parts. Over the years, Rick has repaired a 4runner, 2 Ford Rangers, a Honda civic and a PT Cruiser for my family. He's also repaired numerous friends of mine cars and everybody has been very happy. I've seen a few of the complete custom paint jobs they've done too. One was a 70's gold corvette that just looked incredible! Another time I saw a Ford Cobra that was just insanely beautiful. I brought in my grandma's car a couple days ago, he told me it would most likely be ready the first of next week. It was done today, and dang, it looks awesome. My grandma and I very pleased with the work. And the price; it was very fair, much cheaper than the proposal I got from a respected local shop, actually less than half of they quoted. I also spoke to a mobile body mechanic, but I couldn't research him like I can businesses on Yelp, and that's very important 'cause you don' t know who you're dealing with. Yay yelp! Anyways, the car looks better than before the accident. He also came through quicker than expected, and did it right. We checked under the hood and everything looked solid. And the parts, they seem solid too, like the hood. I noticed when I opened it a couple times after getting the vehicle back. It just seems like it was done right. Rick, the owner, is really cool too.
