DO NOT COME HERE. They completely ruined TWO almost brand new ski jackets - each worth $800 - and offered absolutely no resolution. There was a huge burn stain on each and they completely melted the zipper on both jackets making them functionally useless. Clothes are always perfect when I pick them up and the prices are quite reasonable whether they are dry cleaned or laundered.

Just tried Rick's for the first time after striking out with my long-time cleaners a few too many times. The pros: affordable, clothes ready quickly and on time, cleaned and pressed thoroughly, you get a reciept with every piece noted on it so that everything is accounted for from start to finish, the employee at the counter enters the information on each item while you wait so that you can note special things about items if needed. You do pre-pay for your clothes to be cleaned, which I was not aware of when I arrived but that's not an issue at all. My only issue is that one of my tops had a bow that was sewn into the shoulder and whoever cleaned the item removed the bow from the stitching and cleaned it separately. I'll have to take it to the tailor to get it sewn back on, which is frustrating and should have been avoided. I didn't even think to note that the bow was not removable when I dropped off my clothes because it was so obviously a sewn-on part of the top. So my piece of advice for new customers is to note everything with the employee behind the counter (what's removable, what's not, etc) even if you think it's obvious. And my piece of advice for Rick's -- if you're not sure if something is removable, like a sash or a bow, better to keep it on than take it off and potentially ruin a piece of clothing! That being said, I'll be back! And for the most part, my experience really was great, but better to overcommunicate than undercommunicate as the customer! read more

I wear suits everyday of my life. I have dress shirts with 3% spandex that melt easily if laundered. Countless dry cleaners have ruined my shirts and suits, even after requesting dry clean only time and time again. Since I switched over to ricks, I haven't had a single problem. I used multiple locations. No issues. The pre-pay is unusual, but doesn't really matter when they do a good job. ESPECIALLY since the pricing is affordable. I brought my garments to Rick's cleaners based on all the positive reviews and experiences on Google and other places on the internet - and unfortunately I've had the absolute worst experience that I think other people deserve to know about. I found a beautiful vintage dress that fit me perfectly, but needed a small repair on one of the buttons and a cleaning. I brought it in over two months ago, and was told it would be about a week and a half before the dress was ready. I went in two full weeks later and it was not ready, they didn't have it - but they told me they would call me with more info. Another week later with no communication from them, I call and again, I'm given the runaround and told that someone will call me with an update. It took several phone calls from me (leaving messages or not getting answers from the person answering the phone) to get someone to admit that they've lost the dress and are looking for it. I've had to follow up REPEATEDLY over the last two months, and it turns out they only just (last Thursday) told their other 14 locations and 3 hubs to start looking for it - despite it being in their possession for two months now. It's one thing for the dress to be lost/missing, but the unprofessional and unresponsive customer service and lack of proactive communication has really been the cherry on top of this shit cake. Think twice before bringing anything to Rick's, especially if it's an irreplaceable item. read more

Comforter lost? No dry cleaning done on your Items after over a week? Go to Rick's Cleaners! Do yourself a favor and go to a dry cleaning service that treats their customers right. I dropped off my comforter on 6.25.21 and on the ticket it had the comforter ready on 6.28. BUT the only phone calls I received was about losing my comforter and they couldn't find it ANYWHERE. The employees excuse "I only work two days a week." Fast forward to 7.8.21 they called to let me know they found the comforter BUT it wasn't cleaned. And there response "not sure why it wasn't cleaned but we can give you the money back for it." I live in Buda (20 min drive) the inconvenience of me driving for a refund to not have my item cleaned to having to find a new cleaner is the inconvenience especially when you're a mom. I made the mistake of choosing RIck's cleaners when I could've chosen one closer to home. Do yourself a favor and choose another cleaners that don't lose your items for 10 days!! read more

I was unhappy with the results and the treatment I received from the William Cannon and South 1st St location. I rated my experience a 1 Star. I as contacted by Ian, who offered to redo the laundry. Although, I turned him down, I was impressed by his concern and response. Due to his response, I decided to give Ricks a second chance. I decided however, I would use their Brody Blvd. location. The difference between the two locations is extreme. The Brody location is cleaner. The staff is engaging and very friendly. The results of the dry-cleaning were much improved. All though not perfect it was much better. I am increasing my rating to 4 stars. read more

I dropped off a dress that was "conveniently" not put on the ticket, so when I went to get my clothes, my NEW dress, that I only wore once, was GONE! Since it wasn't on the ticket, I have no proof I dropped it off. Not the 1st time they are responsible for stealing a blouse from me. They never made it right. I LOVE this place! I am still in shock that I dry cleaned 14 pieces for $28 dollars! And that includes a winter jacket. I think normally it would have been a couple dollars more expensive, but they have a coupon on their website for 10 pieces for $20. The thing is, when I went there I couldn't find the coupon, but they were super nice and gave me the discount anyway! I guess its a bare-bones type of place because it doesn't look very nice, but who cares!? Dry cleaning is dry cleaning. Who knows what they actually do to the clothes? All I care about is that when I get them back they are free of wrinkles and they smell ok. And this place got the job done for cheap! read more

I found this place on here and was pleasantly surprised with the awesome reviews so I thought I would give them a try. I called ahead to get a price on a king comforter to be dry cleaned and was told just under $20. I was like wow ok that is along the line of the dry cleaner that I was using in Houston before moving back into the Austin area after being gone for over 8 years. I went in and dropped it off, paid and was told that I could pick it up in about 5 days. Not too long but longer than I expected to have it dry cleaned. I sucked it up and used a blanket on my bed while my comforter was away. When I went in to collect my item, I was immediately greeted, gave the girl my ticket, she went in the back pulled out my item, hung it up asked if this was the correct item and if it was ok and if I needed anything else. I said no came home and inspected it and it was nice cleaned and didn't smell of any chemicals and was like new. For the price, and service I will be back and not just for my bedding needs. If I could give a ZERO STARS I would! The service was on time but I picked up on Saturday after 3pm as requested because my son had an event and leaving early Sunday morning. When he got back he showed me his suit pants and the back pocket was burnt where the button is. He called on Tuesday because Monday he wasn't able to. Fran was rude and wouldn't take any responsibility. I called Wednesday to see if anything could be done and again she was rude raising her voice and interrupting me when I would try to talk to her. Consistently great customer service! My clothes always look sharp and are ready when promised. There is a dry cleaners within 3 miles of my house but I drive 30 miles out of my way to come to this location because the service is excellent and I know with absolute certainty that they will take as good care of me and as they take of my clothes. I wish Rick's had a location in San Marcos and that the awesome ladies who work the counter worked there. I'd be SO happy to have the quality and consistency of product & service in town. I brought my couch cushions and was told they couldn't do them because they were "likely to shrink and they can't guarantee no shrinkage". Update on my review! It's no secret at ricks cleaners does have the most affordable dry cleaning. Although the best prices call him with the worst customer service. Over the past couple months I've noticed that customer service is nonexistent. Workers here seem unhappy especially Ashley who is the most unfriendly person, unhelpful person. I do understand that humans have bad days. I've ignored it a couple times but now it's pretty evident that she is a unfriendly unhelpful person. The other person I interact with Cheryl she is hit or miss some days she's OK and Sunday she's just not OK So I have been coming to ricks for several years now. About 80% of my wardrobe that I bring to ricks are Nike under armor polyester type polos. Just last week I brought 4 shirts for dry cleaning. No problems at all. Now today I bring in the same four shirts again and now we have a problem. I understand it the factory labels dry fit shirts to not be dry cleaned. Ricks cleaners has been doing my dry fit shirts for years. Today I was refused service because my shirt was dry fit. The lady kept pointing at the label that says do not dry clean. I do understand at the factory takes extreme precaution. It's like a no dive sign at a swimming pool. You see the sign but people still dive. My tags say do not dry clean but I want them dry cleaned. If I choose to stick my shirt sent to dry-cleaning and they get ruined that is all on me and my fault. I would be happy to sign a waiver. What upsets me the most is I have been doing this for years and today I was refused service. Completely unacceptable. read more

As a new customer (brought items in probably 3-4 times). The very last time, I had a number of items and about 10 days later, I was planning on wearing a new white guayabera. I don't check items when I pick up to see if they have been cleaned properly. I doubt that many do. There were several spots that hadn't been removed. I brought the garment back in as I was leaving more items and showed this still soiled garment to your rude clerk. She said that if I didn't have my ticket that I would be charged again. I protested to no avail and left the garment to see if you can clean it properly this time. I sent and email asking if there was any way to make a pick-up on Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised when I received a prompt response. Worst service ever! I took my boyfriend's suit to get cleaned before my sister's wedding, they said it would be ready Thursday by 5pm, went before they closed and nope it wasn't there! They said their delivery driver wouldn't have it until the end of the next day (I didn't even realize they outsource the dry cleaning!) but we were leaving out of town for the wedding. I was livid. Asked to speak to manager, nope not there. Long story short we ended up having to BUY a new suit and guess what this shitty excuse for a business would not even give us a discount or a free dry cleaning service for the inconvenience. NOTHING. Nothing fancy, but you can get a ton of everyday shirts cleaned for $2.79 each....that's a deal in todays dry cleaner biz. Counter help is nice and friendly. Thought I had written an earlier review, but can'f find it...oh well, it wasn't good anyway. Snaps pulled off my new Ryan Michael shirts, told them they needed to be laundered, not dry cleaned....came back dry cleaned and stiff as a board on top of missing snaps. I wasn't going to ever go back, but I had a pair of new silk drapes that I just needed to to have pressed, so I think how hard can that be and they are close. After bringing them in, the girl told me there was no way they could just press the drapes, I asked are you sure and she said, oh yes I'm sure??? WTH? They are a dry cleaners!! So I left and went straight down the street to another cleaners and of course they said they could press only. Did a beautiful job too! Cheez!!! I gave up on this dry cleaner after years of business. Yes, they have great dress shirt laundering prices. What they don't tell you is the 'trick' into getting you to pay the dry cleaning prices. If the shirt is not 100% cotton they refuse to launder it - no matter what the laundering instructions on the shirt say. The take a long time searching to find the label on each shirt to find out the % cotton and then throw back 3/4 of the shirts telling me they MUST be dry cleaned, I finally gave up and went to Capitol cleaners who will launder ALL my husbands shirts for 1.89/shirt without the hassle and time spent just to reject the shirt! read more

DO NOT bring your dry cleaning to this location. This was my first experience with this business. I brought a dress to be cleaned for a very important black-tie event the following night and was told that it would be ready the following day at 3pm. When I arrived back at 3pm the following day (the day of the event), I was then told it wouldn't be ready until the following Monday. Had I been made aware that this would be the case, I would have either not left it with them or found a different dress to wear for the event when I actually had time - not 2 hours before the event. I understand things happen and circumstances change, but what made me most upset was the compete lack of concern the employees had and the attitude that was given by the lady with glasses and short dark hair. You get what you pay for at Rick's Cleaners - Poor Service I had used Reid's Cleaners for years but decided to give Rick's a try to save a little money. Things had started off well and I told my coworkers and neighbors that they were great. I'm retracting that praise in this post after my poor customer service experience. TWO of my shirts were returned with slight tears on the backside of the forearms. I returned the shirts and suggested they take a look at the shirts and determine how we might rectify this situation. The shirts were returned with a photo copied article from the International Fabricare Institute explaining how the manufacture was to blame for their dying process. What are the chances of TWO DIFFERENT MANUFACTURES (IZOD and Calvin Klein) producing poor quality shirts that tear in the exact same shirt location at the exact same time? Rick's Customer Service (Barbara) did not have a good explanation and asked me to send the shirts back again. The shirts were returned with a different photo copied bulletin from the International Faricare Institute explaining the life expectancy of shirts. By the way, the holes were much larger because they "tested" the shirts by putting their fingers in the holes and making them larger. Now, the shirts are beyond repair. I'm willing to bet Rick's Cleaners will have an International Fabricare Institute article for any problem that you might encounter. So, don't expect them to do what is right, like repairing garments, offering free service, replacing a damaged garment, or even partial replacement. Instead, you can expect a photo copied article from a very biased industry publication that will place the blame somewhere other than Rick's Cleaners. Did I mention the shirt life expectancy article was published nearly 20 years ago? The "scientific testing" was conducted on THREE shirts worn by staffers? Call me naïve, but I believe the statistically significant sample of shirts for an industry article should have been much larger. Oh well, I'm a believer that customer service will make or break a small business - goodbye Rick's Cleaners. By the way, I had to give Rick's a one star rating because zero stars was not an option. read more

I took in a suit, shirts and a tie. So when I go pick up my dry cleaning I notice that I'm missing the tie. So after filling out a form they told me that the manager will be contacting me on Monday after they call the plant, (I'm guessing the vendor where the clothes actually get cleaned at) and let me know what's going with my missing item. It's just the principle, you pay for a service so you expect they will deliver. I guess it is true you get what you pay for. read more
