I was shocked and sorry to see the previous review for this company. I live in Olympia and had heavily soiled carpets in my current rental unit...it had previously been a daycare center, I have two large dogs, and previously had a construction/labor boyfriend who dripped RC airplane fuel/oil all over the place...I tried to clean the carpet myself and succeeded only in pulling up old stains from the daycare and making it look even worse...it was NASTY! I contacted several cleaning companies from google searches, didn't get phones answered or return calls to my messages; when I did speak with people it clear they weren't interested in looking at this carpet and made it clear there would be no help moving furniture. My landlord told me about RIck as she had previously had work completed by him and was very pleased. My experience...the phone was answered by RIck; he offered me an appointment within 24 hours. I wasn't available until the next week and we made an appointment for the following week (today, a saturday on a holiday weekend - with no extra charge). He was pleasant, professional, and communicated clearly with me. Contacted me several hours before our appointment to confirm....was clear that he and his son would help me move any heavy furniture if needed. We both flexed a bit on the schedule time to accommodate my needs and his schedule this morning. Given the fact that I have had numerous contractors not even bother to show up for work I've scheduled while living in the Olympia/Yelm area, I was absolutely delighted. RIck and his son, Nick arrived on time. Checked the situation out; agreed the carpet was indeed heavily soiled (I had let him know in advance). He gave me quote that I found exceptionally reasonable given the condition of the carpet; he fully explained the procedure; expressed a preference for me to watch the process; I was gone from my home for approximately 45 minutes and when I returned they completed the process in approximately another 10 minutes. INCREDIBLE...I cannot believe that my carpets are clean...stains all gone...they were nearly dry and even on a day when it was overcast and rainy the carpets were fully dry in 3-4 hours. I do not to put down the area rugs that I was using to cover the stains. Cannot even express how happy I am with the experience I had with RIck...I will certainly be recommending him to friends/co-workers and will call for him in the future as long I'm living in his service area! I own a rental home and my renters skipped and left the carpets in terrible condition. These carpets were put in new 3 years ago and I had the same tenants for the whole time. There were stains and damage all over that I thought would NEVER come out. I called on a Sunday and scheduled carpet cleaning on a Tuesday. The whole process of three bedrooms and stairs cost $205 and took about 90 min. I never expected all the stains to come out and there was only 1 that would not come out. It's red and I'm not sure what it is but Steve tried everything. I was fine since it would be where a bed would go anyway and will be covered up. All the other marker, food and God knows what stains came out. I was especially worried about the stairs since they were the worst but they actually look the best now. read more

I seldom complain but I was so dissatisfied this time I feel I owe it to other consumers to speak up. I wish I had seen the previous Yelp reviews before I ordered service from these folks! I I dismissed the confusion of appointment changing from 11AM to 9AM to 11AM as the representative was professional, and pleasant when we met. I was sold some additional treatment but was assured it would likely bring my carpet "back to about 85%." I left him to do his work. When I returned the next day I was immediately disappointed; carpet was wet and a little more plush but far from "85%". I was resigned, thinking it was stained and this was the best it could be. After it dried it looked just as bad, if not worse, as it had before. A few days later, on a whim I drug out my own domestic carpet cleaner and took a few passes. The water was filthy! ..carpet was not stained, it was STILL DIRTY! I sent a photo and a text to Rick, inquiring if, perhaps, their equipment may have been broken? Instead of a call from the owner I ended up speaking with the associate that had done my carpet. I was basically called a liar as I was told the carpet was fine when he left and he had before/after pictures to prove it (which, as it turns out he did'nt). Next I was asked why I waited so long to complain (about a week), implying I had sabotaged the carpet in the interim?! I told him I thought it was as clean as it could be as it was treated by professionals, now I knew better! He then commented that he "never made any promises" and there was nothing wrong with their equipment, it was all the age and condition of my carpet, it was too old and heavily soiled (then why the mention of 85%??). He reverted back to their "guarantee" to fix it but when I told him I had renters arriving in 2 days he appeared to become agitated and started yelling about my location being too out of the way for them as they do "most of their business South and West of Olympia". I told him to just forget it and hung up!... at that point I certainly didn't want them back out to my house with such poor customer service and attitude!!! Now after using my own old machine for 3.5 hours my carpet looks great, close to 85%!!... BUYER BEWARE, my experience with these folks cost me nearly $300 and I ended up having to spend evenings after work cleaning it MYSELF anyway to meet an important deadline. Rick and his son Nick were extremely professional and courteous! I moved into a rental and the owners didn't hire a very good cleaning company and I had to redo the carpets. Rick came in and gave me an estimate adding an anti-microbial wash to take care of the musty smell the previous cleaners left behind. They were and out in a short period of time. I chose this company based on availability and reviews when I needed carpets cleaned prior to staging my house for sale. Steve arrived early when there was a lot going on and was finished in just a short amount of time. Unfortunately, the carpets weren't clean . He charged me extra for the "pretreatment" that was going to make a "big difference" but I don't see how the pretreatment would work when sucked out just minutes later. Steve seemed to be in a big hurry and seemed resentful that I wasn't pleased with the results. He had lots of excuses for why the 3 rooms & stairs weren't clean - the carpet was old, it was super dirty, I hadn't been having it professionally done once or twice a year . . He offered to show me the dirty water - but I am more concerned with the water left in the carpets. They were still wet 24 hours later when the stagers showed up. I've been vacuuming longer than Steve has been around and I know that you can't rush the job and expect good results. Steve demonstrated his technique and it really is not surprising that the carpets are still wet and dirty. My recommendation is that you choose someone else for your job. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Our carpet quote was off by $100. We were quoted $149 for six rooms. We were told that it would be $25 extra per area (fine), but we were charged $40 for our stairs- which we were not told it would be that much. Then we were charged for 2 extra rooms (living & dining were charged as two separate rooms, our landing was also counted as a room. We were also charged a $25 fee for travel, which we were not told about. When I called the owner to discuss he yelled at me. Literally yelled at me and told me it is my responsibility to read his website for full details of charges. Isn't that why I called for a quote? I got his number from DEX & did not use the Internet. Regardless, he was disrespectful & made no attempt to correct the situation. Will not recommend to anyone EVER! read more

Absolutely Horrible! I'm a home owner and found these frauds on good ole' craigslist and One of the Son's Rocky came to my place. I was glad to get my carpet cleaned on their special of 125 dollars for 3 rooms, hall and living room. When I got the bill, Rocky had added a travel charge of 35, which wasn't on their CL Ad and Rocky never discussed with me. There was an an extra 75 for some added cleaners that I didn't ask for... When I got the bill I was shocked to see that he was asking for 235.00! To further rub salt in to the wound, he charged my credit card an extra 10 dollars. So now my credit card was charged a total of 245.00 dollars for the 125.00 dollar special that I asked for. It was all done within an hour, quick and half ass, most of the stains came back in shadows. I called Rick at least 10 times asking for my money. He promised many times and even apologized for his Son but I never saw a dime, even when I threatened to report this to the BBB. I believe I was a victim of bait and switch and the father doesn't honor his employee's mistakes. When I told Rick about the error of a 10 dollar over charge, he never offered a dime, which is fraudulent and he's culpable and should pay. I intensely dislike these people and wish them every rotten thing they've done to others to be brought upon themselves. read more

Ricks carpet cleaning picked up my rugs for cleaning. Because he did a good job previously. 1 week later brought them back with a serious case of black mold. The smell was awful. They admitted that they did not dry them completely so thats what caused the mold. They picked them back up and said that they got this chemical call Microban to get rid of the mold and that i will get my rugs back in a couple days. it took them approx. 2.5 weeks to get them back to me. As my wife and i unrolled the carpets it was still black mold on the tops but mainly the bottoms of the rugs. It smelled so bad we had to remove them from our house. Steven the new owner came to look at it and told me that the mold staining is not active mold.bullshit!!! I know mold..I said what about the intensive awful odor. Then he begun to explain how this was not really his company when they picked up my rugs initially so i have to take it up with the previous owner who moved out of state. I paid these guys $300 to destroy my rugs and the worse part of this, is that they know i have a 1yr old who plays on these rugs. Wow...im a retired vet and i did 6 tours of combat to fight for scumbags who would put my childrens life endangered. read more

Obviously the last review was someone friends with Mr. Rick!!! !SCAM ALERT! These guys advertise a "$159 special for 7 rooms" for carpet cleaning then come to your house and tell you that you have "extra rooms" and it will be an extra charge....ok fine charge me another $100 then to get it done because I have to be moved out in 2 days. Then when He was finished the invoice was much higher than expected @$340,My wife just got frustrated and paid it and he left. The carpets still looked like crap so we called because he told my wife that their work was "guaranteed" The guy came back after we were all moved out and told our landlord the work was NOT guaranteed and that the whole thing needed to be redone with a "special Enzyme rinse" after all was said and done he invoiced our landlord for an additional $495! Now our landlord is taking it out of our deposit! That's $835.00 to clean a 4 bedroom house and an office room with no carpet in the rest of the downstairs!!! !!!!!!!!RIPOFF RIPOFF RIPOFF!!!!!!!!! First of all, I was rescheduled twice. Then Rick shows up smelling like kerosene because it spilled all over his van which then leaked kerosene on my driveway. Then he brings kerosene soaked equipment into my home resulting in the entire house smelling like kerosene. He charges a $25 travel fee which in my mind was riduculous...he only gets business because he advertises to be the cheaper...then apply travel fee=same as the rest.
