    Rainbow Bowl "Most Popular"

They definitely give a lot of fruits but I wanted an açaí bowl and not just a fruit bowl. For an açaí bowl there was not enough açaí. Looked like a thin layer. The granola was all the way at the bottom making it difficult to get to. Typically it's above the açaí. Overall it's okay for Charlotte.

Tropical Island smoothie and strawberry raspberry blended lemonade

In the words of my husband "no muy rico". 2 kids running the place, didn't really know what they were doing. The girl at the register did not know what ingredients were in the smoothies, we gave her the benefit of the doubt since they are new to their menu. My husband ordered a Tropical Island smoothie and I a blended Strawberry Raspberry Lemonade. There was only 2 girls waiting for food in front of us. There were 5 tickets in the window. We then watched the one in charge make 4 açaí bowls and they were so dry and crumbly. Something we didn't think was possible. The girls received their orders and were dissatisfied with their drinks. I over heard they ordered regular strawberry lemonades but received blended ones. They didn't say anything and just left. I saw her make my lemonade and it was just Costco lemonade blended with strawberries. I was really disappointed in this. Being a "healthy" açaí bowl place, I wasn't expecting premade sugary lemonade. Making my husband's smoothie they said they ran out of coconut water and offer apple juice instead. My husband declined and said to add regular water. She began pouring in the apple juice and he had to stop her and repeat himself. We received our order about 15 mins later, which we thought was a bit long for a smoothie and a lemonade. They were okay. They weren't too pricey so we weren't too upset but can't say we'd be back.

First time trying these guys out and trying an acai bowl this location was closest to me. I got the rainbowl bowl their most popular and added nutella which was an additional $2. My total was $14 for a small size which is a step up from the mini. The fruit was super fresh, I loved the crunch of the granola in there, and of course the nutella who doesn't like that. Also, definitely learned what fruit I would leave out next time. I think the size for the price was pretty big definitely could be a meal in itself. Would probably get a mini next time unless I was super hungry. Especially with it being kind of pricey, but with the fruit being fresh didn't necessarily think it would be cheap. Inside was clean and they have a couple tables and barstools to sit at if you would like. Lady who checked me out and was upbeat and nice.

Love the açaí but yes I agree with others reviews more açaí on the bowls please. I crave this almost everyday.

a bowl of fruit and yogurt

Been missing good açaí since leaving SoCal. While different in texture (a bit more "icy" here), the flavors are great. Fresh fruit portions are huge. Definitely a great lunch or snack. Worth a visit!

I feel like I am late on the Acai train, but I am on board. I love the Rainbow Bowl, it is loaded with fruit. My favorite is the Go With Your Gut, it's lemon Kefir milk with granola and strawberries, I could eat this everyday! I love this location, this shopping center is easy to get into and park, you feel like you are in a little oasis in the middle of traffic city Ballantyne!

Everything is great with the rainbow bowl but this place is always out of mango even when it's in season If you don't want to stock on mangoes please take it off the menu

This is the best Acai bowl I've had in Charlotte, no other place compares or competes with them. The bright gorgeous bowl are worth every penny. The service was great, the bowl was delicious & the actual store is very bright & clean. They have a variety of featured bowls you can choose from with added toppings or substitute if you're not a fan of the toppings already on it. I always order a small just for the fact that it fills me up quickly. If you're looking for a great Acai bowl that's worth the money you need to come by and visit this location !!!

If you need a little more than the rainbow bowl, try the one with Nutella and almond butter.

Absolutely love this place! Everything is so fresh and clean. I've tried so many things on the menu…read moreover the last 3 days. There is an app you can order in advance on. When you sign up the first time you get a free drink. The service was really nice. They hound adults and provided great customer service. I loved the avocado toast although it was a little salty. I couldn't finish my acai bowl because the granola was stale. All three of my fresh juices were refreshing and tasty. I will be back the next time I am in CLT.

Hard to find anywhere! Everything sounded so yummy! I could tell based on their ingredients and how they combined them in their menu options, that they were thoughtfully created. This is what made me really love this place! My first trip was my best! Everything tasted so good, flavorful, and fresh! I was telling everyone about it. Also, parking is good and easily accessible. Based on these few things alone, I would have given it 5 stars. However, my times going back since, have not been so positive. I typically order the same thing, but each time it tastes different from the first one I had (as if things are missing). They have tasted flat with little to no flavor. I was disappointed, especially being the flavorful ingredients that come in it. Also, the windows could use some tinting....the sun beats in so much, that there is often nowhere to comfortably sit (only seating was by the window). We have had to leave the establishment numerous times to enjoy our food. Last, but not least, the napkin holder was dirty and the staff were NOT wearing gloves to prepare the food. This was a big no-no for me! This is a health/safety concern, especially being they are prepping and serving raw, uncooked foods. I also did not see any hand washing. This is NOT ok with me anytime, but especially during flu season! These sanitary issues alone may be enough to stop me and my family from going there in the future. Just hate to see such beautiful food, at this price point, being served so carelessly. We may try their other location in the 28277 zip code area, to see if they're any better with their sanitation procedures or if it's just the company as a whole. This location is farther away, so won't be able to visit as often. Hope the Stonecrest location tightens up on their cleanliness/sanitation, as well as consistency with their products taste, because I would love to keep going there!

A lovely discrete treasure, a blessing to the South Charlotte food scene…read more This easy to find yet tucked away café was the best breakfast I've had in many years. The meal started off with an iced rosemary lavender latte crafted with their in house syrup made with cane sugar and fresh herbs. Rosemary and coffee has been a revelation to my palate and I'll be back for this alone. Which I will happily enjoy in this comfortable and cute dining area. Breakfast was made to order from fresh ingredients, piping hot and intentionally seasoned. As their bright and cheerful owner puts it, the main ingredient is love. And trust me, you can taste it. This is the first time in my two decades of eating tofu that I can actually shoutout how delicious it is. And the aromas coming of this photogenic waffle were mouthwatering. While Charlotte has become over run with corporate and copy cat restaurants, it is truly a thing of comfort to enjoy a delicious meal made by good people that care not only about what's on the plate, but who is eating from it. 6 stars

We didn't wait for too long for the table as people were just leaving. It took a bit for the waiter to come to our table and took even longer for him to get our food orders in, which we noticed he got the food orders in for the other tables with people who came in after us. This then lead them to getting their food before ours. I ordered the breakfast combo which came with 2 eggs, bacon, and waffle. I was a bit surprised that this place didn't have any chicken or turkey protein side options as I've seen is common with brunch places. I also got my eggs scrambled which, as you can see by the picture, came out as an omelette. When asking the worker about the confusion, he doubled down on it being scrambled eggs and even gossiped to his coworker about it as well. Upon the unfair wait and the egg situation, I will not be returning here again.

I ended up getting the Barbacoa breakfast bowl which included Barbacoa, nacho chips, black beans, and scrambled eggs. This itself was a 8 out of 10, the flavor was there, but the nachos portion tasted like the food had been sitting on them for a minute before getting to my table. I also got a side of plain roasted potatoes, and they were great as usual. My go to drink is always the morning meditation, which is a blend of citrus juices, ginger, and tumeric. My waitress wasn't the most attentive considering them not being as busy as usual on a Sunday morning. Overall, not the best experience, but by for not the worst experience. It will always be a go to for breakfast whether I'm by myself, with family, or even on a date.

That's about the only thing that went right. Our server stopped by briefly while my wife stepped away and took a drink order (waters). My wife was back at the table within two minutes. From that point on, we were completely ignored. Not "a little slow"--completely ignored. We sat there for 18 minutes without a single check-in, no order taken, nothing. Meanwhile, the same server was actively waiting on other tables, including people who were seated after us. At that point, it was obvious we weren't just overlooked--we were being disregarded. We got up and left. On the way out, my wife tried to say something to a staff member and was met with a blank stare and no response. I told the hostess we were leaving after being ignored, and her response was "see ya." No apology, no attempt to fix it--just complete indifference. Another customer nearby even said, "not professional today, are we?" which pretty much said it all. To make things worse, the restroom was disgusting. The only available stall (the handicapped stall) was filthy and completely unusable. That alone should have been a red flag for how this place is being managed. I called afterward and spoke with the manager on duty, Johnny, to get contact information for the district manager--and was given the wrong number. I had to call a different First Watch just to get the correct one. That's not just poor service--that's incompetence. I actually like First Watch as a brand, which makes this even more frustrating. But this location is clearly poorly run and getting worse, not better. Save yourself the time and go to the Matthews location instead. This one isn't worth the hassle.
