There has been so many reviews here... I finally made it over there to try the food. It did not disappoint! We got the regular breaded steak sandwich with mozzarella and hot girdiniera on the side. We also had the chicken Vesuvio sandwich. Both sandwiches were amazing! We did get the breaded steak sandwich on garlic bread, but to be honest, I really didn't taste any garlic at all ! The breaded Steak sandwich was very crispy even though it had a lot of sauce on. It had a great taste. The hot Girdiniera really added an extra kick to it. The chicken Vesuvio sandwich was excellent. I did put some hot Girdiniera on that also. The inside was really clean and had a lot of old photos on the wall... Pretty cool !!!! They have a large parking lot across the street to park in. The place was pretty busy, but the service was really fast. I would definitely return again.!!!

Ricobene's is party of the essential Chicago experience. It's located in Bridgeport on 26th St. There's a free parking lot across the street. Go after a Sox game and it's probably busy but you're probably in the neighborhood anyway. Breaded steak is a signature item. Good with added mozzarella and peppers. Cheddar fries are large enough to share. Chicken Parmesan with cheese is also good.

I flew into Chicago, and knew this was going to be my first stop. Open late, I got here around Midnight and the place was packed. I got the breaded steak sandwich and a large coke. Order came out pretty quick. How was it? BOMB! This sandwich is amazing! It is messy as hell, but that's half the fun eating it. The steak is tender, the sauce is delicious, and the bread is soft and holds up the whole way through the sandwich. I will crave this sandwich until the next time I am in Chicago. It's perfect!

Could not keep quiet about the ribs anymore. This is the third time the slab of ribs arrived over done. Sauce/flavor always wonderful but when you have to chew through pieces of semi wood, the joy is kind of gone. Ribs used to be my favorite to brag to everyone in Chicago, but now has taken a backseat. Will be a while till I order the ribs again. To be fair, spaghetti and meatballs are always fantastic: consistent pasta texture, tomato sauce delectable, and the best big meatballs in the southside.

Yep, the famous breaded steak sandwich, this one with mozzarella and giardiniera. It is as good as advertised but as a matter of personal taste I'd skip the giardiniera in the future. To me it just detracts from the overall flavor of the sandwich. We also got the Chicken Vesuvio. I loved the garlic but because I don't use mayo the sandwich seemed a bit dry. My fault, of course, but oh, that garlic! Service is not an issue. Order at the counter and pick up your food when they call your number. There's a separate clearly marked line for pizza by the slice. They have great parking and remember to take many more napkins than you think you need.

Quintessential Chicago restaurant. The menu is very Portillo's with the addition of soft serve. Food comes out fast, in large portions, and delicious. We came through after a Sox game and the crowd continued picking up as more people came out from the game. There is plenty of seating inside, so you should be able to find a spot even with a big group. Across the street is a free parking lot. I recommend the combo beef and sausage and some onion rings. The onion rings have that light fried layer and were amazing.

Extra crowded with game day but they moved very quickly. Seating challenged but we scored a spot. Plenty of options but we chose the famous steak sandwich with cheese and peppers, pasta fagioli soup, fries and beer. The sandwich not overly breaded and just enough sauce and cheese. The hot peppers were good on it but I should have got the sweet peppers too. My friend said her fries were fresh but just a little undercooked. The soup was different from the standard pasta fagioli that I have had which seemed to be a cream based maybe cheese in it and beans no beef. But it was still good. I added a pinch of salt The pizza looked delicious as did the ice cream. I would have loved to try a beef as I haven't been here since I was a kid. Half of a large sandwich and I was stuffed. Great vibe and definitely a sox fans haven. The servers were kind and again even with a line out the door the they moved quickly.

We needed a late night snack because we had an early dinner. I did not realize how late it was until I looked at the pictures on my phone; it was around 10:45, which might be early for the young whippersnappers, but this old lady usually doesn't like to eat past 9. My hubby has been talking about Ricobene's since we met 20+ years ago. He finally got me there after showing me pictures of the famous breaded steak sandwich, which we ordered, of course. We also ordered a beef sandwich and a hot dog and fries (there were four of us). The beef was great; the steak sandwich... I can't even. We have been back in the area a few times since my first visit and I am always pressuring my husband to take me back there. I am drooling a little thinking about how good it was. The place was packed at 10:45... clean and the employees looked like they were having fun. A lot of youngsters were ordering pizza... I need to try the pizza.

I was surprised by the layout of this restaurant. It's a counter service sit down casual place. Huge menu and fast service. The breaded steak sandwich was unique. The pizza was alright. The Italian ice was yummy.

Well, another review here we go this time for the very first time I tried the Chicago deep dish pizza, which I never had in my life and I must say it's different. They have an amazing dough cooked to perfection making it a deep dish pizza plenty of cheese plenty of sausage and their sauce is really outstanding and I think that's which featured on a deep dish pizza I could be wrong. I'm not Italian, but I enjoy their sauce. And naturally, I had to get a slice of pepperoni pizza, which I absolutely love. It's done to perfection. Again, plenty of open seating and tables and they are always crowded so that speaks volumes for this business Service at the counter has always been on a money, very friendly, very welcoming and they answer any questions that you may have Well, it's time to fly back home to Pennsylvania until next time. We'll see you again at my favorite spot in Chicago.

The parking is across the street. I must start with that. The facility is large and that place was busy. The food must be amazing! The line was long but moved relatively quickly. We went for the steak sandwiches but got sold on the slice of the steak pizza and we took those to go. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable hence why I ordered the pizza slices. There is plenty of seats for dining in and it is spacious. There are plenty of items to choose from. The items we purchased did not disappoint. They were delicious.

Went with my wife today. It was the first time for the both of us. We knew ahead of time we were going to split the sandwich and that was a good idea. It was the perfect size for us to share. We ordered it with sweet peppers and cheese. My only complaint about it would be the cheese. It wasn't melted and did not really seem to belong. I will 100% will be back, but I'll leave the cheese off. Also, the fact that they have a large dedicated parking lot across the street is a huge plus. No parking headaches here.

We ordered the pepperoni deep dish and the pepperoni tavern style. The deep dish arrives in a cast iron pan, featuring caramelized crust that edges on burnt for a perfect, crispy crunch. Served cut into squares, it has a solid thin crust that holds up nicely under some melted cheese and loads of flat pepperoni. This remains my absolute favorite deep dish in Chicago, and I go anytime I'm in town visiting. Pro tip: Make a reservation well in advance because walk-in wait times get incredibly long.

We also shared the seafood pizza, duck prosciutto pizza, cup and char pepperoni pizza, and the gnocchi. All three pizzas were delicious, with very thin and crispy crusts. The seafood pizza came with a soup or broth that you could pour over it, which was nice and it also came with so much seafood. The cheese was slightly firm, but the pizza was still flavorful and enjoyable. The duck prosciutto had a noticeable duck aroma, melty cheese, and a rich, savory flavor. The cup and char pepperoni pizza was satisfying as well, especially the pepperoni with its crisp, curled edges. The gnocchi was another standout. So delicious After getting it, my buddy had to get one too haha One of us had the moonwalk cheese, we go out for a lot of pizza together, and he said it was he thought his favorite of anywhere. Another one of our crew got the pepperoni pile up loved. And I got the sweet and salty space candy pizza With bacon, pineapple, pickled red onion, goat cheese, sambal. Genius, the goat cheese, instead of ricotta was the move for this pizza! All the flavors worked in perfect harmony.Nothing short of amazing. Cozy spot, super cool atmosphere, couple of old school arcade games like ninja Turtles let's goooo We had so much fun. The drinks were absolutely excellent as well. Oh my God cannot forget this drink program. Galactic gift basket and Jedi mind trick sooo fire. Speaking of perfect harmony, everything at sharpies coexist in a lovely harmony from the all the staff, to the vibe/ambiance and absolutely killer pizza and food. WILL BE BACK! Check em out!
