I love this neighborhood spot! Perfect place for a carry out. I ordered online and it was ready in 20 minutes. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful when I walked in. My pizza was delicious! I got an 8 inch thin crust with pepperoni and mushrooms and it was perfect! The crust was crispy, just how I like it. I've been craving a great pizza and I'm happy I came here. It's a small place with a few tables so it seems to be primarily a carry out place. This is classic Chicago pizza. Thin, crispy and satisfying. As for the service, friendly and efficient as I ordered online and it's carry out only unless you're looking to sit at one of the two tables in the small store front. They use an old Faulds Oven. If you see one of these the odds of getting a good pizza are almost 100 percent. To get the best flavor from the pizza let it cool down a bit before eating. One other thing I thought I should add. They still have their own delivery drivers. I hate that most delivery has been taken over by uber or door dash. read more

We got it to go while visiting family who lives close to Pat's. It was great. Our family was insistent that we get fries. Fries with pizza? Whatever. It was delivered. I was excited to try a pizza from here after reading and watching numerous reviews. I've also had many Chicagoans tell me "don't sleep on the tavern style thin crust." The pizza came warm, intact, and with two receipts placed on the actual pizza. The receipts were soaked in so much grease that they became translucent and actually blended like a topping among the meats and pepperonis. The first slice had the routine undercarriage inspection: a light leoparding pattern akin to a morning toast that dinged ready but could use another minute. As I approached the slices that were towards the center of the pie, I gasped in horror as the center revealed an undercarriage was whiter that last night's snowfall. This pizza was bordering raw. Terrible ratio of sauce, cheese, and toppings, in this case, the most bland, tasteless pepperoni I think I may have ever experienced. Customer service was good, both people I interacted with were friendly, and this place is only about 20 minutes away from my house, so I wish I could love it and make it one of my regular pizza spots. But there was simply no reason to ever return for a third time. While I don't think it's even the edge which is slight now still goes to Phil's but this is some damn good pizza. It's not as thick as Giordano's. It's between Giordano's and a regular hand toss from Domino's Pizza. The sauce is on the tangy side but it's balanced by the cheese and sausage. The pizza ordered today was a nasty soggy mess! I called and spoke with Eddison who claimed to be the Manager. He was rude and did not so much as apologize! I asked for owner and was told He isn't in and hung up. I explained that there was a pile of peppers and onions. He says sometimes it's soggy. As someone who's grown up in Chicago with family from Detroit, I've tried lots of different kinds of pizza. Pat's Pizza will always remain my absolute favorite! I've eaten their pizza (usually pepperoni) for at least the last 15 years or so, and although I no longer live in Chicago, I always make sure to order it at least once when I visit. I will go and have gone on rants with my family/friends about why exactly I think Pat's Pizza is the best, most perfect pizza I've ever tried. I think the ratios of all the ingredients are perfect -- not too much or too little of anything, and the amount of sauce is just right such that the cheese rarely slides off when you take a bite. Also, the leftover pizza is almost as good cold the next day as it is hot! Even just writing about it makes me hungry xD I've seen many other glowing reviews of this place, but not nearly the amount it deserves (hence my review). Pizza was picked up by driver at 5:45pm, didn't get it until 6:34pm and was late / cold. And I only live 10-15m away depending on traffic. Driver was from the restaurant, not Uber. Pizza was cold and it re-solidified.... had to re-cut again. Couldn't eat it from the overall experience. read more

I don't know if it was just the conditions of an "off day" or what, but I feel like there was no love in this pizza. It just wasn't anything more special than a frozen Tony's from Jewel Osco. Was on my list to try for thin crust and just happened to be in the neighborhood. Overall nice experience. People were friendly, order was correct, done on time, great price. As for the pizza I did enjoy the crust it is nice and thin and quite sturdy. The cheese was decent and toppings were plentiful, but the sausage was lacking some flavor.
