Salsa is amazing. I always get the taco salad and the meat always has great seasoning. I was introduced by a friend and three days later, I brought a friend. The fajitas for two are more like a portion for 3 - we had plenty to take home but always fresh and the service is always great. Ricos is a great family owned restaurant near downtown Acworth. We have been going since they first opened, they have expanded quickly and increased parking space. They have great drink specials during the week, including martinis. The staff is so friendly! We love this place. The Carne Asada tacos are our favorite meal (marinated thinly sliced beef on corn tortillas with fresh cilantro). They also allow dogs on the patio which we love! read more

Some Acworth friends told me about Rico's and they were right. This place has some of the best Mexican food we have had anywhere. Good service, live music and the perfect atmosphere for a small locally owned food house. It's a gem in the rough, not located in a main travel area, but convenient once you know its location. Best Mexican I have had in a vey long time. I am now a regular. The staff is friendly, they know my family on site and are always making suggestions according to our tastes. The Molchahete is not on the menu, but is by far the best dish. If you like fajitas you will LOVE this. I think it is a special on Fridays. Stopped by here on our trek from Orlando to Kansas city. Had chicken nachos and the so had fajita quesadilla. The chicken was well seasoned and the nachos were good. We ordered cheese dip, but it never showed up. Service was ok. The reason I'm writing this review is because of the gentleman playing piano. If i lived here and had the opportunity, I'd go there a lot to listen to him sing. Great voice and great atmosphere. Good food, too. read more

Tried this place out today as I saw it on Yelp this morning. The food was pretty good (I had the chicken chimichanga) and plentiful as I brought home leftovers. The salsa had a little kick to it since I am not a fan of spicy food and prefer the basic salsa flavors. The Coke seemed a bit off in the carbonation department but not too bad. This is our favorite place aside from The Trejo Cantina. I would have scored them a 5star as most of our visits have been nothing short of great. However, the reason I am scoring a 4 is because my last visit there, the waiter came and gave us our menus but never came back and we already knew what we wanted. No chips, no drink order taken so that was a first negative experience and we have been going there since their very first open business day and have even referred others who have become regulars. The second reason I scored a 4star is the price of their wings jumped from $5.50 to $7.99 all in one visit. Seemed a bit extreme to jump that much in price. I'm from South Florida and had visited my daughter recently up in Acworth, Ga. She took me to Rico's and am I glad she did! I absolutely love this place! It is a small Mexican restaurant, family owned and run. As a vegan, it is always a challenge finding non-vegan restaurants that would accommodate my lifestyle. Not at Rico's! They have vegan options on their menu and the food is absolutely delicious!! The waitress was very attentive, refilling our drinks right on time and always checking to see if we needed anything else. The restaurant also had live entertainment. A guitar player accompanied by a sound track, who played all of my favorite 70s and 80s folk rock songs was amazing! Ok...delicious!!! What a great local gem. Nothing fancy here...just great food at great prices. I had the carnitas and they were terrific with great flavor. My husband had shrimp in garlic and he left nothing on his plate. It was the perfect place for a nice, quiet meal. There is none of the ridiculous hoopla that comes with the big chain places...just really good food, great pricss, and excellent service. This is our new favorite place. BTW, we came early (5:45), and the place was already pretty busy. There was a steady flow of customers, so we must not be thd only people enjoying the food. Well I heard about Rico's so I stop in for Dinner! Very disappointed with this restaurant, Two Thumbs down Took a Table ordered a beer and chips, waited for 40 minutes and no one took my order ! Ordered item # 13 which had a Chile Relleno and when it finally came it had something called a Chile Relleno which I had Question that wasn't what I had order and was told it was. I Have had Chile Relleno from Texas to Oklahoma to Oregon they never looked like what I was served last night! read more
