    Super Nachos
    Maggie L.

I went to get a quick lunch and I ordered takeout from Rico's Tacos. I got the super nachos, which were so good! It might not look like a lot at first, but it was super filling. They loaded it up with a lot of meat and plenty of toppings, which made it worth it. I think the price was about ~$15. I can't say much about the ambiance or service since I didn't dine in, but ordering was nice and easy, and everything was smooth. Definitely a solid option if you're looking for something filling and flavorful.

My son and I were out and about and we wanted to get something to eat. He was craving cheese quesadilla so we went to Rico's Tacos nearby, where I hadn't been to for a few years. He got his cheese quesadilla and I got a carnitas taco which comes with beans and salsa. It hit the spot! And their red and green sauces were so good! Not that spicy. Service was fast and the staff was friendly. It's not a fancy place but food was pretty good. I usually take pictures of the food but I was hungry.

Seven to Eight years ago, I used to come to here to grab either lunch or dinner after work. I was around the area this time so I decided to eat lunch here again. I'm really glad that despite of many years has it been, it still tastes the same as how I remember it. I usually get a regular asada burrito (no beans) and use lots of their green sauce. It's my first time trying the BBQ PORK taco and it also taste good but I still prefer Asada. Definitely will eat here again when I'm around the area

I got back from a trip to Seattle and I didn't feel like cooking. I ordered two steak tacos and one chicken taco via DoorDash. The food is nothing to write home about, and though I ordered crispy tacos, they weren't crispy by the time I got them. It could've just been because the meat was very wet. I almost broke my tooth biting into my chicken taco onto a fairly large chicken bone. I'm never going to order from here again.

If you want the best taco in SJ, this is the place to go. I got the carne asada super taco and it was so fresh and amazingly tasting! The service is amazing and the owners are so nice. It's very vibrant and bright inside. Would recommend 10/10.

My boyfriend and I were seeing a movie next door and had a bit of time to kill before it started. We were starving and decided to grab some Mexican food. This is located in a plaza so shares a parking lot with the movie theater and a safeway. Plenty of parking. Most of the tables were full inside. We examined the menu for a bit before deciding on the carne asada nachos. We wound up sitting outside because it was pretty nice and warm. One of the workers directed us to the salsas in the fridge. Our order came out pretty quickly! Wow, this is a beautiful plate is nachos. The carne asada was nice and flavorful, guac was good, salsa was good. We forgot to ask them to omit the sour cream but my boyfriend wound up eating it. The chips were nice and crisp. Can't go wrong with nachos! We'll have to come back and try their other menu items. Service was great, food was good. No complaints!

Torta sort of ... A slice of asada mayo and a little avocado.

About a month ago, we visited and immediately noticed that several of our longtime favorite menu items had been removed. We then tried to order simple street tacos with one of each meat, only to be told that the restaurant had "never done that." We've been coming here for years, and this has been our regular order every time, so that response felt surprisingly dismissive. We also noticed that food prices had increased, which is understandable given today's economy. However, the cocktail prices had gone up significantly as well, making the overall cost of the meal much higher than we were used to. We decided to try a few new menu items instead. While the food was still good, it just wasn't the same as the dishes that had kept us coming back over the years. Service during that visit was also noticeably slower than we had experienced in the past. After that meal, the other couple we were dining with felt that it was the end of an era and decided they didn't want to return. We wanted to give the restaurant another chance, so we came back last Friday evening. Unfortunately, the experience was very similar. We had 5:00 p.m. reservations and arrived just a few minutes late. At the time, there were only a couple of other occupied tables. From the moment we were seated until our food arrived, approximately an hour and fifteen minutes had passed. Throughout the evening, we frequently had to flag down servers to order another round of drinks or request more chips. No one ever acknowledged or explained the lengthy wait, which made the experience even more frustrating, especially as we watched other tables arrive after us, receive their meals, pay, and leave before we had even been served. Overall, the restaurant still looks the same, but it no longer feels the same. Many of the familiar servers we've come to know over the years no longer seem to be there, and between the menu changes, higher prices, and much slower service, it has unfortunately fallen off our list of favorite places for a night out. We genuinely enjoy supporting local businesses and have recommended your restaurant to many friends over the years. That's what makes this feedback disappointing to write. Based on our last two visits, the overall experience simply hasn't matched the value for the price, and we hope you'll take this feedback into consideration.

We were served complimentary salsa and chips - nice refreshing, tomatoey and lightly spicy salsa. We also got guacamole, which you could tell was freshly made, chunky and refreshing. Glad we got this, because it helped cut through how heavy the molcajete de mariscos we got was. We were NOT expecting how large the mocajete is - this can probably be split across 3 if not 4 people. It comes out boiling hot, and with 3 tortillas, and a side of beans and rice. When we ordered, they asked us if we would want more tortillas since it comes with only 3 - we didn't even finish the 3 it came with. The sauce was tasty, tomatoey and spicy, and it was chock full of mussels, squid, sooo many shrimp, a whole filet of fried fish, and other goodies - unfortunately most of the seafood was pretty dry/overcooked. It came out to about $60 for the two of us. Overall, the mocajete was fun to try, but I think next time I'd try some tacos or a burrito if I were to come back.
