They know you'll be back because they are purposely screwing with you. Mike was the only solid guy at this shop. They need more staff like him.

So I went here to ask questions and after an hour of their time I walked out not having to buy anything and with an idea of what I wanted and what size of bike frame I needed. They didn't pressure me to buy anything they just listened and helped. I ended up purchasing a used Specialized Road bike. Since my experience was great with them I took this bike to them and after a two hour bike fitting I was ready to ride and learn a new sport. The workers are kind and only ask if you are having fun with what you are riding on and if there is something they can do to make your ride more comfortable. Their products for sale in the store come last. I repeat the workers here only care if your having fun on your bike and if your comfortable on it. They listen and make suggestions and you can feel no pressure to buy anything from them.

Reserved an aluminum road bike online. Thought this was an actual bike shop... not. Received text…read moreto a self-serve storage unit to pickup the bike I reserved. No parking in storage area, only park at nearby restaurant. There was two bikes of the correct size. You need to know a bit about bike maintenance to continue. I added my own pedals for the first test ride. A pedal wrench and assorted paired pedals were located inside the roll up door's storage unit, along with tire pump, and assorted sized helmets plus disinfecting spray. First bike did not shift into small ring at all. Second bike had worn, dry rot front tire side tread with broken side strands. I used bike for three days on nearby paved trail rides. There was extra tube, levers, and CO2 in rear pack. I also brought along my patch kit and pump, just in case. Cleaned up and lubed chain, set up bike back at the Airbnb. I noticed right shifter cable was frayed upon closer inspection, but it did shift okay in the flat parking lot under no stress. There was no way to adjust seat height, thus I tilted handlebars slightly upward with my own packtool to make do. Riding hills on day two in Saguaro National Park the right shifter cable was definitely punk, requiring patience to shift. Press lever and nothing, nothing, nothing, shift. I suspect cable is frying inside the hood, but didn't inspect. It's going to be a problem for next guest, IF the bike doesn't get service. All issues immediately were reported via text a couple times plus images sent. I was offered to swap out for another unknown bike back at self-serve storage unit, but didn't wish to waste my time driving back and forth, setting up yet another bike versus riding with my friends. So, if you know a thing or two about bikes, the rental was okay, as you did not have to deal with waiting for a person to do the work. Also helped my friend get her bike ready the another day by adding pedals, cleaning the chain, pumping up tires, plus finding and adding an inner tube to her seat pack before we left storage. Really unsure how often these rentals are serviced and check. Not sure what the tip jar was for either, lol! I give a 3 of 5 as price was okay, the person did respond via text, and bike didn't totally fail, BUT I'm also a do-it-yourself-er on vacation!

They took one look at where the bike was from and immediately said that this place is garbage. No bike shops work with Tucson Bike Rentals. They said they consistently send out garbage bikes and people get hurt on them. They offered to look over my bike. 20 min later, they were still running a safety check. The wrong derailleur was on it. Something was messed up with the wheels. We decided to find a bike elsewhere and to try to get our money back from this place. It's not a safe bike or bike rental company. Also! There's no way to communicate with the company other than via text message. They say not to call.

There's never been a line which means I can wait for those adjustments. I have Continental Gatorbacks which are notoriously difficult to change out. I had a race this wknd and decided to hedge my risk after training all winter by having thornless tubes installed last week. The charge was $15/tube and $10 labor per wheel, so $50 total for both tube replacements (totally reasonable). It took barely 15 minutes which was nice and the mechanic shared a few pointers during the process. Unfortunately, one tube came with a bad valve and it "revealed" itself mid-triathlon resulting in my first ever DNF :-/ I brought the bike back the following day and the young gentleman (same guy) confirmed the bad valve. He replaced the tube for free but then said he'd have to charge me another $10 labor. I thought he was joking at first but then he said the boss would likely be on the fence about comping this circumstances entirely so I just paid him the additional $10. Parking can sometimes be a little challenging but otherwise, all things considered, this is a good little shop for quick repairs or adjustments.

He was incredibly attentive, interactive, and very specific about matching the bike to my body size, carefully aligning my proportions with the proper frame and tires. You can tell he genuinely cares about getting it right. As first-time bike renters preparing for the largest biking tour in Tucson, we were nervous. We asked for help getting fitted, and they went above and beyond--not just a quick adjustment, but genuine human kindness. They adjusted the seat, watched our posture, and even encouraged us to ride the bike on the side of the shop so they could observe and fine-tune it. They took their time, never rushed us, and made sure we felt confident and comfortable. We rented the bikes for 5 days for only $200 (about $40/day), which is an incredible deal--especially considering other shops in Tucson quoted $100-$200 per day for the same type of bikes. The value is amazing, but honestly, the exceptional service is what makes this place stand out. Phenomenal care, rare to find nowadays. They have multiple ride distances including a fun ride, 32 miles, 62 (metric century), and 100 mile century each staggered starting times. The ride is supported with separated bike lanes and multiple well stocked aid stations. Riding in AZ in November is great as it is cooler and allows you to see the nice southwest terrain. I wouldn't hesitate doing this ride. You might want to come in a day or two early and ride the Tucson loop path as a warmup ride. Hope to see you on the ride in a future year

There are officers directing traffic at every intersection, and lanes are set up to keep cyclists safe from cars. Aid stations have plenty of water, lots of snacks, and fantastic volunteers! The race directors have been very responsive to feedback regarding route changes and other planning. While I understand the frustration it may cause for drivers on this one day a year, the benefit to the community is tremendous, and it's one of my favorite athletic events ever!

In spite of Tucson being an international biking Mecca, the city streets here are still very much the wild west. I had gone through life thus far accident-free but was hit head on by another bicyclist a few weeks ago. The Ogre survived but it was time to get stronger brakes and tires. In Tucson, bicyclists need all the help they can get. Fortunately, Sam is the right guy to spec out the right improvements. He installed Growtac mechanical brakes, Gravel King tires, and a new Chris King bottom bracket. I took the Ogre out this morning and the changes made the bike feel new again. I had read glowing reviews about the Growtac mechanical brakes and, indeed, the stopping power is excellent. (I'd put them up against hydraulic brakes.) The tires give me much more traction on the many streets under construction in the city, too. I've always enjoyed bicycles because there is nothing else for me that provides such a sensory hit of adventure and fun. The little things that Sam did on the tune up added up to a dramatic difference that made for a joyful ride this morning. Thank you, sir!

This isn't one of those places, it's a fully stand alone coffee shop adjacent to the bicycle shop. This is a unique coffee shop, older brick building with a nice interior. It also has a patio in the back which is pretty cool. I've tried the sage latte and cold brew, both are very good. The staff are nice as well. The ultimate highlight for me is the food. They carry pastries that I haven't seen anywhere else, the ding dong is the bomb if you grew up in the 80s or 90s, its like a hybrid of the hostess cup cake and a ding dong. Definitely added to my rotation of favorite coffee shops to go to.

We started with a view of the sun and moon, then watched the amazing sunset over Arizona. They asked us for requests (both for sky viewing and accompanying music). We saw numerous galaxies, clusters, nebulae and planets. The jewel of the evening had to be the extended view of Saturn and Titan.
