We drove to RideNow Georgetown and first looked at a used 2018 Blue Can Am Spyder and a 2015 Yellow Can Am. we considered buying their 2019 white one, but they add almost $3000 worth of bs fees to your tab if it is new, so we passed. Our salesman, Jordi, gave us his rundown on each of the bikes. We noted the difference in options on each year. The newer ones have Bluetooth and what is basically Android auto capabilities. The 2015 model did not. It had a GPS harness attached to the middle of the handlebars. Not knowing what it was for I asked Jordi. He said it was to hold the GPS. I asked him if the GPS came with it, he said "Yes." Cool, so 2018 we can use our phone; 2015 we use GPS. Not a deal breaker. He then told us about the mandatory $688.50 dealer prep fee, if we decided to purchase one of the 2 used models. I asked, what am I paying for. Jordi explained that they go over the bike with a fine tooth comb when they get a bike traded in and fix any potential problems you might have, especially those pesky electronic problems that show up with Can Am's from time to time. So, it is worth the added cost. We made the purchase assuming the bike was being detailed, or washed while we waited. It was not. Okay no big deal we will clean it ourselves. We thought we got a good deal we are happy. I asked Jordi and David, the sales manager, about the GPS. David said they would have to find it. I was willing to wait, but Jordi said they were closed, and we would have to come back. I told him I did not want to drive all the way back. He said we would have to anyways to pick up our plates, and they would give it to us then as well as a new owner's manual. I should have waited. 3 days later and my husband is doing a thorough go over on the Can Am and he notices a crack on one of the body panels. Annoyed, but it is used, so we let it go. Then he checks the tires, and the brakes. Remember that $688.50 prep fee that they fix everything, so we do not have to worry about it, apparently it does not cover those items. Okay. It is used, breath in we will fix it. Then my husband pulls out the air filter. It is full to the top with what looks like dog food. Now we are both pissed. They should have at least checked the air filter. My husband vacuumed out a quart sized bag of dog food from the chamber and manifold. He then discovered that their fine-tooth combing did not include checking to see that the manifold was connected. So, he contacted Nate, the sales manager. We informed him of what we had found and that we were owed a GPS. It was then that he informed us not only would we not be getting the GPS that was part of the deal, but also that his salesman and his sales manager were both grossly misinformed. It did not come with one, and since it was not written down their word is completely worthless and non-binding. But he would be nice enough to cover the cost of labor (you know the labor that we have already paid for in their $688.50 prep charge) for the problems that their fine-tooth combing should have taken care (his words not mine, but it is not in writing so I should totally trust him) as long as we supplied the parts. After pointing out the inconvenience of having to drive all the way back to Georgetown and pointing out that his salesman should know whether or not an accessory is included, he offered to send a guy with a trailer to pick it up. So, I am supposed to trust his word of mouth that his service department that failed to do the dealer prep correctly by his own verbal admittance, will properly fix it now, but the word of his salesmen is bogus unless it is in writing. Sorry, they still owe me a GPS. And unfortunately, my husband says that he can not fix the manifold problem, so I will have to let them fix it. I will update on the repairs they so graciously gave us in response to our complaints. read more

Yamaha rider since 1967. Brought my bike in for throttle body sync and check throttle return - was too weak. Needed bike back for ride to Alaska. Called and said it was ready. Showed up (drove up from Houston where I was working) to pick up. They said the mechanic test drove and "ran so bad he couldn't understand how I was able to drive it." All that was initially done was the throttle cable adjustment which did not solve the poor running or slow return. Called with message mechanic out sick. Still waiting on bike. Well the trip north won't happen. Was going to eventually trade in for a Kawaski and wife wanted a Can-am but will consider other dealers. read more

Probably the best motorcycle dealership in the Austin/Georgetown area. As a testament to my objectivity, I initially had a bad experience with one of the sales folks the first time I went, but I went back, worked with another salesman, and have had nothing but pleasant/good experiences with this business. Excellent selection of new/used motorcycles, and they also have a sprinkling of ATV's, Spyders and watercraft. Parts/accessories seems to have a really good selection, I have tried on and purchased two helmets and several add-ons for my motorcycle here, and everyone I have engaged in the accessories department has been pleasant, very helpful, and generally enthusiastic about motorcycling and their products. Most of these guys really seem to enjoy their jobs and if it isn't busy, will gladly talk your ear off about bikes, rides, their crazy uncle up north that rides in the snow, you name it. The owner seems to be a class act as well, I always seem to bump in to him and he definitely enjoys talking/working with his customers. The last time I went, he even helped me install a Cramp Buster on my bike's throttle in the parking lot, before I had even paid for it. This is how you do business. Sales: Great selection of new/used vehicles. For those of you whining about encounters with sales folks, I'd recommend trying another salesman if you have a negative experience. Worked for me. Accessories/Parts: Very good selection, and very helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant folks in that department who aren't too pushy but are yet happy to assist if needed. Service: I had a rear tire replaced here (took it off myself). The fix was done quickly, on time, and at the (fair) price agreed. I intend to use them again. I also have called the service department for advice on servicing my bike (oil viscosity, what filters they have in stock, etc). Even over the phone, very pleasant engagement and very helpful. Highly recommend this place. Good location, too, if you enjoy a nice ride. read more

I needed a summer jacket and did some research on both jackets and stores to purchase said jacket as I didn't want to go the online route. Very glad I decided to go to Central Texas PowerSports! I showed up right as they opened so it wasn't busy and Thomas (Tom) greeted me right away. After explaining what it was I was after Tom was super helpful in showing me the different levels of protection within the different brands and had personally used some of the gear and had great things to say. Shortly after trying on a few jackets I had one picked out, checked out and was on my way. This purchase had some of the best customer service I ever experienced and I will be back to purchase more gear in the future! PS. My husband and I have been coming here for years... after what I experienced a couple weeks ago we will not be returning ever! We were in looking for some new riding gear... I walked over to the fitting room to try on the stuff I had picked out. Didn't even think I should knock the door was unlocked so I walked in. Only to find two employees in there. One male.. one female doing very inappropriate things. I was horrified! I immediately put the items down and walked out. We bring our children into this establishment & that will no longer happen. Had my kids walked in on that we would have a HUGE problem. Hopefully they can address all the employees and maybe go over what's appropriate for the work place. read more

Awful customer service! I walked in CTPS fully expecting and prepared to purchase a new bike. I walked around for a good 15 minutes and not a single salesperson offered their assistance. May I mention that there was 1 other customer in the store. Only 1! Perhaps had I lingered at a higher priced area (and it wasn't the first of the month) I would have been treated differently. In my over 50+ years of purchasing and caring for motor vehicles, I have never experienced a more inept, lacking in customer focus, or self-consumed group of people than those charged with providing services in general and specifically for their products sold at Central Texas PowerSports. What was at most a 7 to 10 day service request on 3 Can Am Spyders turned into a month long ordeal. I have been a customer of this business for over 4 years and until now have always been treated fairly, however my most recent experience belies the last 4 years. From failing to do requested service/ work to a total inability to get an accurate invoice for the work performed to essentially asking the customer to condone and accept such a situation vividly describes my most recent visit. I seriously question the honesty, integrity and forthrightness of anything from this business.......no longer a customer. read more

They called to day they have the motorcycle (CTX700D) I was looking for and they also had it advertised on cycetrader.com. They updated the availability on June 21 and I was there June 22, I called before I left and was told to come on over. It took 30 minute drive and was told that I should leave deposit and once they get one, they will call me. Meaning they advertised wrong. I talked to Richard. Stay away if you're looking to buy a motorcycle! My experience with Central Texas Powersports has been very bad. I've only met with the sales department, so I can't say anything about their other departments. In the process of trying to buy a new motorcycle from them I've talked to one salesman, two managers, and Steve, who I think is the store owner. The store owner was the only guy that I liked, but he didn't seem to do any sales. I had come to visit for an otd estimate on a bike and after the salesperson called his manager they refused to give me a otd price and would only give me the msrp price. Something I can easily find online. They were the only dealership I visited who did this. Neither the manager nor the salesperson really seemed that friendly either and were strictly business. Later after I had gotten otd's from other dealerships, I called these guys to give them a chance to offer a better deal and they did. The salesman and I agreed to the details of the deal on the phone and I asked him to email me what he had written down. He claimed their internet was down and wanted me to put down a deposit to show his manager my "commitment". I gave him over a week to get their internet fixed or email me from elsewhere. During that week, he would call me nearly everyday. Sometimes twice a day, to push me to put a deposit down. After a week, he still refused to send me an email and so I called a manager. The manager told me he wasn't aware of the deal and in the end he told me their lowest otd price they could offer was aprox $1000 over the original otd I got. Horrible service department, made a appointment and dropped it off the day they scheduled me to come in. The machine wasn't looked at until a week later, phone calls were not returned and employee's were rude on the phone. This is a product that I had bought new from them and had less than 10 miles on it. You are not a customer at this business just a number! read more

My experience at CTX Powersports has been very bad. I would never have service done there again. Their service department in particular is difficult to deal with. Their prices are significantly higher than other shops such as Napalm and TJ Cycles. The work they have done has been very poor quality and they don't always do what I ask of them. I recently had them put new upgraded springs in the forks. Besides putting in too lightweight of oil they also did a poor job of cutting the spacers to the point that it created a vibration in the handlebars. I will be going to other shops in town for cheaper, more reliable, more knowledgeable service. read more

Your discounted price was the same price as the tire I bought the week before????? I saved $40 by having the tire mounted somewhere else. But I've wasted enough energy on this issue. I've already been in contact with the marble falls dealer and Houffpauir. They will get my business on the other 2 machines we were getting this year. If you would make some customer service changes you wouldn't have to get defending yourself on Yelp. Little things go a long way. Y'all need to think about that. Had been out to CTPS several years ago but due to the distance, had always used Woods. Had a bad experience with Woods a few months ago and decided to give CTPS a shot on 2 bikes I was interested in purchasing. Steve and everyone bent over backwards to sell us one of the hottest bikes around..the Grom. Despite the fact that he knew it would sell easily, he worked with us in getting it secured. Grom came in and it was time to purchase a dual sport and I opted for the CRF250L. In steps our salesperson for the grom and Cr..Eric Farver. Kept in touch but was not pushy. Answered all my questions and did all the work for my business. He and Steve even secured a slight discount since I was purchasing two. I don;t know why so many positive reviews get sandbagged as non recommended. I have good things to say about Steve, Eric and all we came into contact with at CTPS. Far cry above woods. Take that extra 15 minute drive and work with a company that wants your business and works hard to get it. Thanks Guys!! read more

Shopped around to purchase a RZR 170 for my kids and chose to purchase at Central Texas Powersports. I went back to put a deposit on the unit due to it having to be ordered. Approximately a week later I went in to get it and do the paper work. They took me to service dept, parts dept, then to sign paper work. After signing numerous forms the last form I was asked to put main driver's age, which I have 2 so just put my sons since it only asked for one. My salesperson, Zack, failed to advise me of an age limit on this unit. So due to my son being 9 they refused to sell it to me. My daughter is old enough to ride but they refused to let me put her even though she was going to ride as well. Main complaint is the failure to advise ahead of time of the age limit, and all my time that was waisted. Will not waist my time at this location in future nor should you, go to a dealership where they know what their doing. O yea got one the next day with no issues. read more

The service department was really helpful and always a phone call away. I took my motorcycle here for a regular service and an electrical issue which they fixed. I had some starting issues after that and they did everything they could to figure out what the issue was. I guess service costs could be a little cheaper but then motorcycles tend to be expensive to maintain ;) read more

Ethan, the Internet Sales Manager, was awesome! He answered all of my annoying emails VERY quickly and was the only dealer that went through all the work (through email I might add) to give me a full, "out the door" quote. He sold me an ATV $700 cheaper than other dealerships, as I visited many, and stayed with me through the entire process. Great guy, very knowledgeable, no pressure at all, and did some digging to get me a great deal. I drove 50 miles and past 2 other dealerships to buy an ATV from Ethan. Can't say any bad about these guys. Was looking to buy a new bike. Got quotes from 4 dealers. 1 dealer couldn't be bothered to even give me a quote. Closest dealer to CTP's quotes was $900 more. One dealer graciously offered to knock a whole $100 off his quote after I told him I had a better quote elsewhere. That would have still been $1600 more than this dealers quote. Everyone from Ethan (my sales rep) to the owner were real nice and made this a painless deal from the start. read more

After trying to resolve my issues several times with the service manager and the GM, I was forced to contact the Better Business Bureau and file a claim that may end up going to court. here is what was submitted to BBB after over a week of begging CTPS to make it right..................................................................... "I delivered two Honda dirt bikes to this company to have the carburetors cleaned by their technicians. Both of the bikes were in running condition when I dropped them off, and the service writer(Arron) verified this when he helped me unload them. All that I wanted to do was have the carburetors cleaned and and parts inside of them that needed to be replaced. The service writer called me and told me they were ready to go on saturday 8/27/16. After paying the total bill of $674.01, the service writer and I went outside to load the bikes. One of the dirt bikes started right up and ran fine so we loaded it in the truck. The other bike was very difficult to start and would not stay running. The service writer suggested that take the bike home and replace the muffler tip and airbox baffle (neither of which are needed for the bike to run) and that it should help. I took both of the bikes home but we could never get the one to run while the other one ran fine for about 10-15 minutes and then quit. After disassembling the one that was running I found that a piece inside of the carburetor ( jet)had not been installed correctly( if at all) and was just laying in the bottom of the bowl.After making the necessary repairs(which were only necessary due to a mistake the technicians had made) the bike ran fine. I then disassembled the other bike, (remember I had just paid 670$ to have this professionally done so that I wouldn't have to do all of this) I found that the float valve was stuck inside of the carburetor. (The receipt showed that they had replaced this). I then went online and ordered a carburetor rebuild kit, waited 4 days for it to come in the mail, installed the rebuild kit, and now the bike runs fine. I have spoken with Tom, the service manager, several times explaining the issue and he agreed several times that it was not right for them to charge me all of that money and the bikes be in worse condition then they were when I dropped them off. He said he would speak to the general manager to see about refunding my money, as I requested. I only requested the 480$ that the receipt showed to be for labor, as their labor cost me a lot of my time, and money to rebuild the carburetors correctly, and also a day of riding with my family. The general manager refused, and suggested that I invest more of my time and bring the dirt bikes back to them to have them fixed( which at this point, I have already taken care of, and I told them this). I also told them that I live over an hour away and would have to take off of work again to load them up and drive them over there, only for them to verify that I have made the repairs myself because I could not depend on them or afford to waste any more of my time waiting on them to get my dirt bikes put on the schedule, just to have a technicians "take a look". read more

If you need parts look elsewhere as the customer service at the parts department is nearly non-existent and lacking in basic knowledge when you do get their limited attention. Nice selection of bikes and they'll probably be all over a potential sale but I'd be concerned about the quality of customer service after the sale is concluded. read more

Don't be fooled by some of the previous reviews, they must have been posted by guys that work for Central Texas Power Sports. I had to trailer my bike to the service department because I let it set way to long and it wouldn't run. Carburators were clogged and it needed an oil change. They were friendly enough when I dropped it off however when I called 4 day later to check the status I was told "Oh we won't be able to look at it until Wednesday Next week". Well they got to it on Tuesday and told me it needed the carburators cleaned a 2 hour job. I approved the repair as I had already told them they needed cleaning when I brought the bike in. Well after my bike was there a total of 10 days and the service department not returning my call I went by to check on my bike and was told "We haven't got to your bike yet we just diagnosed it needing a carburators cleaning, we have to put it back in the system for repair"r. Needless to say I was livid, I rented a trailer and after being charger $57.00 for them telling me something I already knew I left with my bike in the same shape it was when I took it to the Service shop. I spoke with Steve who introduced himself as the Store Owner and he stated that they had a large backlog of repairs in the service department. Well this I figured out for myself when I took a look in the shop and saw only one mechanic there on a Friday turning wrenches. I told Steve that the wait didn't bother me but what did was they never informed me it would take 3 to 4 weeks to repair my bike and they wouldn't return my call when I was checking on the status of the bike. Now my bike is at Woods where they told me they would get to it by Tuesday and I would be ridding by the weekend. I have bought a bike from Central Texas Power Sports and was real pleased with the sales staff, but let me tell you what, if you want your bike sitting in the service department for 3 to 4 weeks without any status being told to you then by all means take it to Central Texas Power Sports. If I could give them no stars I would. read more

When you first walk in the experience here is great and friendly, but when it comes to serious business they are very unorganized and never follow up when they say they will. I filled out an application for a 2017 bike--I was very specific on the model and color I wanted when I spoke to my salesperson (won't mention names) and was told they had one upstairs and that it would be ready for me to pick up. When they send me the vin number they send me the vin for a 2015 bike. I called to inform them of this and they tell me they do not have the bike I requested. They then told me they could have it ordered from another dealership and that it would be here by the following week. I never got a follow up call, so I called them back and they told me they weren't able to get a hold of one in my color choice. The only positive thing they were capable of doing was getting me approved by the Honda dealer, but Central Texas Power Sports was not capable of getting me out the door with the bike I requested. I will be taking my business to Woods Fun Center, and I suggest you do too. read more

If I could post a no star rating I would. Extremely expensive for ATV repairs, simply because there are few people who do them. Took a four-wheeler in for repairs. They kept it three weeks. Called one day & said it would be finished that afternoon & would call. No call. Had to call them. It was ready but we informed them we could not pick it up until the next week. Asked if this would be a problem. They said "no". Got a call two days later from a female who stated the ATV was ready & when were we going to pick it up. Reiterated the same thing we had said in the first place--we were going to pick it up in a couple of days. Was that a problem. "No". Two days before we were to pick it up, got another call. This time they threatened to start charging storage fees. Once again, we told them that twice we were told there was no problem with the timeline picking it up. When we went to pick it up, 6 pm, (they close at 7), everything was put up in the shop. They asked if we had informed them of when we were to pick it up. Bottom line-- they didn't want to move the stuff that was blocking the ATV. Finally got the four-wheeler. If you are even contemplating doing business with this place, RUN! This is NOT an isolated incident. Horrible customer service, over priced labor, jacked up prices on parts. We will never set foot in that place again. Don't care if I have to drive to Houston or Dallas to get repairs done. Not worth the high costs or the hassles involved in dealing with this business. read more

Wow. WITHOUT A DOUBT, the BEST motorcycle store in the Austin area. Now, I love Kent Powersports in Selma, but these guy are closer. I stopped in on my way back from the VA in Temple, just because I don't want to deal with the putrid stealership that is Woods Fun Center. I went in asking about the recall on GSX-R master cylinders. I had already contacted Kent, and they informed me they could order the part for me, and I could then bring it in. I thought I would give Woods a chance, but the biggest ASS**** told me I had to bring them the bike and leave it for 15 days or so. They would NOT help otherwise. I stopped at CTPS. Oh, these guys have my business and loyalty forever. I met Tom in parts. Awesome guy! I bought a helmet before I even made it to the service department! He walked me back and introduced me to Carl, that might be with a K. (Sorry about that, if you read this). Nicest guy. Opened up a ticket for me, with as little hassle as possible. He ordered my part and told me he would call when the part arrived. I hate going dealers, I feel like I'm in a pool of pickpockets. Not here. By far, the most pleasant experience I've ever had. I will be going back there to shop as soon as my better half lets me (at least that she knows about ;)). read more
