If I could put zero stars I would. The customer service is awful, they had me waiting for an hour and a half. When one of the salesperson came they were treating me as if I wasn't going to buy anything. I ended up buying a bike that they clearly dropped and tried to cover up the scratches. But what really got me to write this review is that I got stopped by a police officer because apparently they sold me a stolen bike. Do yourself a favor a save yourself a $5000 fine. read more

Well, not quite a year ago I decided to trade in my Harley on a brand new 2016 Honda Goldwing F6B Deluxe that had been on the showroom floor. They made a decent deal with me but there's when everything went south with this dealership. I brought the bike in for it's 1000 mile service about a week after I bought it, telling the service guy that both me and my fiance could hear and feel a clunk from the rear of the bike. The service guy rode it around the parking lot briefly and told me there was nothing wrong with it. My 1000 mile service may or may not have actually been done on the bike, but what's for sure is that they did not bother to check the critical fasteners on the bike or try to investigate the noise/vibration issue we were experiencing. Fast forward to my 4000 mile service at Central Texas Powersports in Georgetown: within hours of receiving my bike for service, the tech called me and told me that he definitely felt and heard the same thing I was hearing. After he did my complete 4000 mile service, he checked all critical fasteners and found that the noise I was hearing and feeling was from WOODS FUN CENTER NOT TIGHTENING THE LUG BOLTS ON THE REAR WHEEL!!! LOOSE LUG NUTS ON ANY VEHICLE IS AN ISSUE, BUT, ON A BIKE, IT'S DEATH WAITING TO HAPPEN. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Update: the rear drive seals started leaking recently. Central Texas Powersports (RideNow Georgetown) replaced the seals and found too much backlash in the gearing. Hmmm. I know I asked about it at least 3 times. read more

My husband and I purchased two brand new jet ski's (one on their showroom floor) and one that was supposedly brand new crated outside on April 3, 2021. This of course was after spending almost 4 hours waiting for a manager to verify our credit so we could purchase them. Also after being told that there were two other independent purchasers right behind us waiting for our answer so no pressure! At any rate, we paid top dollar, purchased a trailer and the additional extended warranty for both skis and made arrangements to pick them up after they were to be uncrated, loaded, cleaned, and checked out thoroughly. The crated one was to have the step bumper in the rear versus the bar bumper but upon picking them up, we discovered not only did it have the roll bar and not the step bumper but it had several scratches, one sticker was in need of replacement and they were filthy. My husband cleaned them up before driving off with them and making sure Ride Now understood that the step bumper in the back was not correct and one of the main stickers needed to be replaced. After getting home, we discovered that the shifter on one was broken and they didn't have a replacement piece! Would you purchase a brand new car and not be able to drive it because the shifter is missing? Come on!!! We waited and waited and waited and finally told them to find something so they took a used one off another employees ski and replaced it on ours so that we could at least use it! Then two weeks later we received paperwork from Yamaha stating that the exact same piece was being recalled and both ski's needed new ones which of course Yamaha did not have the replacement pieces yet and STILL DON'T!!! On top of this, Yamaha couldn't get their financing straight so we were fighting to try to get them to bill us properly so we could make our payments! Good grief - that's almost unheard of but another story. Then we made arrangements to return them to have the correct step bar replaced and the sticker replaced and of course they ordered the same ones that were already on it!! Are you kidding me? So after a full day of driving them up there and picking them up, we had to bring them home and wait for them to place yet another order for the correct pieces......once again! Which we are still waiting for! This on top of probably at least 25 to 30 phone calls that we've made to them and with only a couple return calls from them. How unprofessional! Now it's time for us to return for the 10 hour check-up and we discover that they want an additional $800. for the 10 hour check-up!! Apparently the extended warranty that we paid another $2200.00 for the service contract on top of the extraordinarily high price for them because of the pandemic! What, if anything anymore is paid for when you purchase things brand now?!! I'm at the end of my patience! I hope other people look at this and read it carefully before spending hour hard earned money with Ride-Now of Austin! I just want to get the things I paid for and rightfully they should be taking care of the 10 hour check-up and I will be quite happy to move my extended warranty to another company that will function as a normal and respectful company working with their customers! Parts guy Brendan (Brandon? I dunno. Sorry dude.) was super knowledgeable and owned all my Shoei questions. I will only buy helmets from him from now on. The women at the desk both days I was there were also great and I watched them juggle a disproportionate amount of work, with a great attitude and a ton of competence. They impressed me. I'd be remiss if I didn't say that I could do without the sales guys here tho. Every time I've gone here, since it was Woods, I have seen the sales guys walk past women to greet men (often past women in boots to greet men in flip flops). ‍ read more

I encourage anyone considering buying from this dealership to shop around. I landed on them through the Costco buying program. They get two starts for getting back to me quickly but everything else about the conversation was laughable. They wanted ~10% over the top of MSRP on a bike for setup and freight and then had the audacity to claim that those numbers are fixed and set by the manufacturer. Having been a rider for the better part of 20 years, I know that's not the case. Speak to any dealership or salesperson candidly and they'll say the same. A rep from manufacturer actually called me this morning because I filled out the online form to get a quote, so I figured I'd ask. They had never heard that an found the markup to be rather surprising. I got two quotes from other dealers. Both quotes were reasonable and nearly $1k less than RideNow. I ended up buying through one of them for less than the Costco price and I'll return for parts, gear, accessories and other purchases in the future. There's not a lot of markup on bikes but I have thousands in riding gear (multiple track suits, multiple sets of boots, about a half dozen helmets, a few pair of gloves, three jackets and two pair of pants) and need to get some for my wife in the near future and this shop won't get any of that. read more

RideNow is different. Slightly pricey, but different. And different in a very good way. We all know that it is a sea of mediocrity out there. A lot of mediocre dealers and even more mediocre service centers. I recently moved to Austin from a city where I had experienced true mediocrity at the local Triumph dealer. I was having difficulties using my maintenance policy, and, for reasons I won't explore here, there was a lot of back-and-forth with the dealer in my former city. However, when I brought my motorcycle in for a service, not only did the service center promptly take care of bike, they also demonstrated enormous patience while I untangled myself from my previous relationship with the previous dealer. In particular, Riley communicated very clearly and with the right frequency: not too much to annoy me but enough to know that I was on his radar. I actually had such a pleasant experience with the service department that I recently bought a second motorcycle from them, Milton, a Triumph Speed Triple R. Colton kindly helped me with that purchase, and, like Riley, he was gentle and calm. He helped me with my purchase without selling me a lot of extra stuff that I neither wanted nor needed. If I ever join the haloed three-motorcycle ownership club, I'll certainly go to RideNow. I understand the desire to save money. I truly do. I hate spending extra on gas (especially at a higher octane if my engine's compression ratio doesn't justify it), hate buying more oil than I need, and can't stand it when I am sold unnecessary policies. However, sometimes a slight premium is worth it. And RideNow is one of those very rare cases where the very small price premium is worth it. When you find yourself in a pickle, they'll be there helping you along the way. Trust me. read more

Sales: Worked with Sean last week to buy a new Triumph. They still had some brand new '16s and '17s on the floor and I went in looking for a deal. Sean was really great to work with and made the process pretty smooth. The finance department was really great and after asking was able to work a 0% finance deal so definitely can't complain. I got a brand new '17 Triumph Scrambler with only 1 mile on the odometer. Still has the 2 year factory warranty. I went in a while back when Woods first took over selling Triumph and BMW bikes. At the time they didn't have much in stock but that has certainly changed. I also got a new helmet and that department was very helpful. read more

Definitely will not be coming here ever again. I had bought tires and tubes for my bike and I even removed the wheels and and brought them up here to just have them change the tires and balance them. Just for labor only to do this they charged me more than what my tires even cost. I wish I could give 0 stars. I went into this location for the second time. The first time I was ignored by everyone in the store and received no assistance. I don't know if it was because of my gender, color or both. Tried to give them another chance. Went back and was looking at a bike. The associates said they can do a credit check to see if I could get the bike through financing to get a better deal. I agreed to the check, but decided to keep looking. A week later my credit was impacted and they opened up a new Honda Motorsports credit card/loan under my name and information. I am greatly disturbed at their actions and I will never be back or refer anyone there to purchase any bikes! This should be sent up to corporate. read more

I've dealt with a lot of motorcycle dealerships after almost 40 years of riding, and although dealerships are called stealerships for a reason, I've found it helps if you find that one competent, helpful employee to really get things done. Mark Miller is that employee here. After the bells and whistles fade from buying your new bike, the service dept is where most of your needs will be addressed. This is where I've come to know and appreciate Mark Miller. No matter how hectic it is, he always spends all the time necessary to explain the issue/s and the resulting bill. He is personable, professional, and always reaches out if additional or different work than what was discussed is needed. He really goes above and beyond to help make what is sometimes a frustrating experience, smoother. He has been working there for years and still maintains a friendly disposition that feels very welcoming, like a friend. That's not an easy feat, when customers, who are faced with waiting on a bike to get fixed along with a large bill, are sometimes pretty grumpy. Mark has never been short with me, rushed my questions, or made me feel suspicious of the work needed. He really is an asset to RideNow and I hope they keep him happy enough to stay for many more years. read more

This RideNow location (RideNow Austin) is the best shop out there. The staff are highly attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. They made deciding on, outfitting and purchasing our ATV a pleasure, and even worked with us when it came to financing options and ongoing service and protection plans. I highly recommend visiting this location over the Georgetown location, which leaves a lot to be desired. We left the other location in favor of the great team here in Austin -- Tyler, Jasmine and Nathan are all amazing, and you should ask for them by name! Horrible, absolutely horrible. Only come here if you want to get ripped off by the sales managers. They will take the shirt off your back if you're not careful. Not only did they rip me off by an easy $3000 on my trade in, they even shorted me about $600 as well, which I sadly didn't catch until after everything was signed and completed. Not to mention, they even sold me the wrong bike color. The bike they advertised was one color, I went in to go see it, and was told it was in their warehouse so I couldn't see it. I went ahead and went through the whole miserable experience of dealing with their horrible sales manager ripping me off. While I was at it, I asked them to add a couple items to the bike once they got it in their shop. A week later when they got the bike and finished adding the accessories, I went to pick it up and surprise surprise, the bike wasn't even the color they advertised it to be. So not only did I get ripped off by around $3600, they sold me the wrong color bike. I mentioned this to other friends that have dealt with Woods before and they all said the same thing, it's the worst dealership in Austin to go to. If you go there, you better be prepared to get ripped off. If you shop around and price compare with other dealerships in the area, you'll find the others will offer better prices, better financing and better trade in values than Woods will. All the sales managers care about in Woods is how much they can rip off the buyer for, they could care less about a happy customer or about repeat business. The only reason I accepted being ripped off by this dealership was because the bank wouldn't finance the new bike without trading mine in, and this was the only dealership in town that sold the bike I wanted. My next bike purchase, if Woods is the only dealer in town to sell what I want, I'll happily drive to SA, Houston or Dallas to buy rather than buy from Woods fun center again. I only hope that future buyers will see this and know what to expect before buying from Woods fun center in hopes they too don't get ripped off as badly as I did. read more

The sales man said he will call me back in 30min with an answer to my offer for the ski, he never called me back. the next day I find out that another sales man sold the Jet ski, while I was in negotiations with them. I am giving Woods a one star when I wish I could give them 0. This place is very manipulative towards their customers. Someone I know had their bike to get serviced and it came back looking like it was sent through a wood chipper. Their bike only had a couple of very minor scratches, but now it's showered in them from front to back. They wash their bike every 3 days and does close up videos constantly. They are is very meticulous about their vehicles, and these scratches are without a doubt fresh from the hands of Woods employees. They are trying to manipulate the situation into their favor. They are refusing to replace the parts of which THEY DAMAGED, and refuse to take any sort of responsibility. If you value your motorcycle, I would NEVER bring it here. I called in advance being that I would have to drive far across town in hopes of buying 6 brand new 2021 jet skis. I was told by a woman named Cheryl that they had an abundance of jet skis and sea doos of all makes(Yamaha, Kawasaki, sea doo). I promptly set my appointment with her and showed up on time. Upon arrival she pawned me off to a new guy who proceeded to let me know there were only 3 USED (2004-2007) jet skis TOTAL available!!! Wow....I'm not one to trip so I left. I was NOT going to leave a bad review until I shortly after began getting messages from a third party business they run there...WTF!!!! I never wrote my number down or gave it to anyone verbally yet they still put me on a spam list. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK. Ski Dock on 620 will be getting my business as they were extremely professional and straight forward. I understand inventory is low currently, So if you are considering purchasing or ordering a vehicle, I STRONGLY encourage you take your business to a smaller locally owned dealer that has respect and appreciation for their customers. Here's the story: My wife contacted the sales team about a vehicle mid morning and a very awesome salesman named Alex helped her to get all the paperwork in motion. By 11:40 we had submitted all necessary information and were "just waiting on the paperwork". At this time my wife asks me to leave work to go sign. (I live an hour away). Once I arrive, I learn that another customer had just arrived and submitted paperwork as well (1 hour after mine was already being processed in the system). Because the SECOND individual put his toes in the store before I got there, I was told by the sales manager, Victor, that my sale was invalid And I would not be able to take the vehicle I was purchasing. This is AFTER THEY HAD RUN MY CREDIT, and approved me and after they had my paperwork 95% completed. And after they had already sent me over to check out accessories for "my" new ride. Their store policy is terrible. It's not first come first serve. It is more like, let's see how many people we can sell and then watch what happens. The second customer should have been told there was already a deal in the works and the management should have taken responsibility. I CLEARLY asked before I left to go there if it was sold and offered a deposit, but I was assured it wasn't. I was never asked or informed that they were applying for a credit card for me on top of the credit I was told I was applying for. The sales guys who help you are great!!! I have a 2009 Honda crf250r dirt bike that would not start Last December I took it to Woods Fun Center; which is now called "RideNow", for diagnostic. They told me they would need to tear down the upper engine in order to give me an estimate to repair. The cost for the tear down was $270, which I agreed to. On 12/19/2020 they informed me the estimate to rebuild the top motor was $3,465.14 (In 2018 I bought this dirtbike for $2500 in mint condition). While my motorcycle was in their care, the bike was stripped of parts, and returned to me incomplete. Total amount for parts stolen while in their shop: $4,501.29 : $3,803.86 for mufflers - totally missing $63.01 Chain - bike returned with a chain that is not mine and too big $300 labor to install $121 tires - incorrect tires & wheels $ 20 - installation of tires $193.42 custom graphics - partially missing, has last name written on them So far Woods/RideNow has replaced top motor brackets, bolts, clips, nuts, and side panels which equates to reimbursing me approx $150 out of a total lost to me of $4,501.29 5 trips to RideNow (34 miles round trip x5 =170 miles) Need to mention lost riding time with my son in cool weather. If I buy the mufflers, they will cost $3,803.86 on https://www.babbittsonline.com I worked with the following individuals who all said they would all make this right: Dustin Sterns - Service Manager - no longer employed there Joshua Watson - Service Advisor - no longer employed there Matt Lanners (foreman) ? James Surface - parts - still there - multiple emails with response: "Unfortunately we are having a hard time finding anything available and not on backorder" Victor Anderson - General Sales Manager - Victor shook my hand, looked me in the eye and said he would call me. Never did. In person, I told James and Victor, if they would simply get my mufflers, I would be ok with this and satisfied. Now I am realizing Woods/RideNow is not a reputable operation and they need to be investigated for fraud, larceny-theft, negligence, and bad workmanship. NOTE: I have proof of purchase of graphics & tires Past History: June 2019 needed my kick starter repaired and a sprocket replaced, they tried to charge me $900, when it was supposed to be $570. Patrick really new his product and helped me customized my bike just how I wanted. I asked a lot of him and put a lot of pressure on Patrick to get my bike ready in a short amount of time. Fortunately, Patrick went above and beyond my expectations in getting me my dream bike. Patrick worked with me on price and even went out of his way to help me get my dirt bike serviced. I took my slingshot in to get minor service, and alignment done because it was pulling to the right. When they sent me the report I was told me tie rod end was shot, and that I had so many oil leaks all on front side of engine. I told them it was dragging to the right and to make sure it was all good. They said they couldn't give me an alignment because my tie rod. They never said a word about it dragging to the right. After having all the problems they said it had looked at, the whole time it was just my rim that was bent up and making my tire wobble while it drove. Ridenow even drove my slingshot and said it drove perfectly fine. They didn't even say I had a bent rim of anything, they didn't say that my tire wobbles when it drives. I paid $800 for them to just basically tell me bullshit. Completely disappointed with my experience. Then for all the repairs, they wanted to charge me like $3000. Luckily I didn't get it done. I would of paid that much money for shit that doesn't even need to be replaced. read more

The first time I got part from this place, I paid upfront and waited about a week and a half before I called them back to inquire about my parts. They told me that the ones that they still carry had been sitting up there for a couple of days and the rest were no longer available. When were they going to tell me? I guess if you already have the money and you suck then you just wait until whenever. Today, I called to get some parts and the young lady told me that all of the parts people were busy and asked if she could take a message. I gave her a message detailing what I needed. I hadn't heard from them in a half-hour so I gave them a call. Sometimes you get busy and stuff like this falls through the cracks, no big deal. I would like to share my experience yesterday at Woods Fun Center with all who will listen/read. I can honestly say that I have never been subject to such poor customer service in my entire life. I arrived yesterday morning to look at UTV's and found one that I was interested in. I spent quite some time with the sales representative and he answered all of my questions and was quite helpful ( I would like to make sure he gets his credit). After much discussion, we sat down and worked up the numbers. This unit was a year old and part of the agreement was that they would put new wheels and tires on the machine because one of the tires was flat. While they were putting the new equipment on it was agreed upon that I would go grab lunch. I met the sales manager, shook their hands, gave them my cell phone number and went out the door. When I got back from lunch they were sitting down selling the unit to another person. After standing around for about 45 minutes my original sales rep came over and apologized. He said that the GM had made a deal while I was gone. He offered to get the Sales Manager to come over and see how we could "make things right". The SM came over and said I could talk to the GM. The GM then came over and could have cared less about the situation. With his employee standing right there testifying to the fact that we had a deal, the GM still could not be bothered. He would accept no responsibility on their part. The guy was so arrogant it was amazing. HE IS THE EXACT REASON CAR SALESMEN GET A BAD RAP. I would gladly pay more money at another dealership in order to keep another penny from counting towards their General Manager's bottom line. read more

Now, I'm sure that someone, somewhere, has gotten a great deal on a bike from Woods. And they have loads of gear, oodles of motorcycles and lots of things that I would never dream of buying (small watercraft, for one; camo Under Armour, for two). But frankly, I just found the atmosphere obnoxious. It's the Giant Cheesy Car Dealership of motorcycle stores. Something I actually like about my fella's motorcycle shopping is that most dealers are smallish and not all shiny and intense like in car sales. Here, a clanging, obnoxious bell rings and the whole place HOOTS when a deal is sealed. Ew. Now, we were here for something specific. Motorcycle-lovin' Man had called ahead and spoken to someone about the item, and he was pretty excited to go back here, even though it's a ways away from home for us. Unfortunately, it took a good while for the person he'd spoken to to be tracked down once we got in (and dodged the gauntlet of front-of-house salesmen). No one seemed to be as knowledgeable about the gear the fella wanted as he was, but they found something reasonably close to fit his needs. It wasn't something cheap (though clearly not expensive enough to warrant more than a couple of minutes of discussion from a commissioned salesguy), and he took his time to decide between two things. During that time, I wandered about the store looking for nothing in particular but considering future gift-giving occasions. Anytime I wandered more than 10 feet from my boyfriend to look at some gear (which, by the way, is mostly of the standard Ed Hardy-fan or country-boy feel, if that's your thing), I was approached by at least one salesperson. I bought my used bike from Woods in September 09. The price was really good, and I had shopped about all of the shops in central Texas including going down to New Braunfels. They also included a windshield at no extra cost. The bike did not have any problems, and I enjoy it. The salesperson was not the friendliest, and did seem a little arrogant. They also told me that the tank was full of gas, and I had to switch to reserve on the ride home from the dealership. I have never used their service dept. because I have heard so many horror stories about them. In short, you can probably find a good deal on bikes there, but the buying experience may not be the best. You may also want to go elsewhere for service. read more

Let me start by saying this: I am a VERY SMALL FEMALE rider who until today rode a Honda Grom. I just drove home on my brand new Triumph Street Triple RS. I came to RideNow on Saturday just to shop around and see if anything caught my eye. My biggest concerns were: (1) if I could even find a bike where my feet would touch the ground, (2) if I could find a sports bike that would have enough control and comfort (for me to feel safe after switching from a mini bike) while still having real power behind it, and (3) if a team of motorcycle sales "dudes" were going to try to hustle me. Let's just say that none of these proved to be an issue. The experience: Everyone on the sales floor was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy! I worked directly with Tyler and Nick who took all of my input and matched me with the perfect bike. I had my eye on the Street Triple R and wanted to think on it so they gave me all of the information I needed and didn't pressure me to buy. After a couple of days, I spoke with Tyler who let me know that there was an RS that I might prefer (better braking system, rear shocks, etc)... he wasn't trying to "upsell" me on anything; he simply remembered my concerns for safety features. When I came back in yesterday, he had both bikes side-by-side for me to compare. Since the bikes were two different colors (and the aesthetics are important to me), he even rolled both outside into the sunlight for me to get a better look. Right then I knew which bike was mine. To make the process run more smoothly, Tyler suggested that (if I knew I truly wanted a bike) I complete the financing application online the night before so we wouldn't have to wait around on credit checks and bank delays. Once I "said yes to the RS," my credit check was already done and my interest rate was set. Eric in the finance department worked quickly and efficiently so the paperwork process was painless. I told him my desired down payment, he crunched the numbers, and I signed on the dotted line. Since I didn't have insurance in place yet, I left my bike there overnight to go do some research. On my drive back this morning, a team member called me with insurance options so by the time I walked through the front door, I was fully covered. Nick was out front polishing my new baby when I walked in. :) Before heading off with my bike, Tyler and Nick were more than happy to walk me through the bike's safety features, functionality and computer system. After some final tweaks to make sure I was ready to go, I drove home on my brand new baby girl.
