Hello everyone, wanted to give y'all my honest opinion on this dealership and how they service your bikes. I bought a 2016 Kawasaki ninja 1000 around beginning of March and ever since I've been having problems, second day of ownership my clutch cable spanned on me in the middle of the highway, got that part for free from "ride now". And here the things hit the fan I decided to check the motorcycle myself and found the air-filter box filled with a bunch of nasty things (pic attached). This made me wonder about the spark plugs checked those also they were not new as I was told when the bike was purchased. (Had to fix everything my self, after that I had serious doubts that their mechanics are even doing anything or can do anything). After this incident I went to "ride now Austin" to ask them what is that, and I told them I want the motorcycle fully repaired as if they were fixing a used motorcycle that was traded in (this process went on for 2 weeks) , I was told by Mark in the service department that everything will be fixed. Next day I came in to pick it up Mark was not there (possibly avoiding me, and the sales person Elliot who sold me the motorcycle was looking away from me and it seemed like was trying to avoid eye contact with me) and there I found out that the bike was in perfect condition although the antifreeze level was lower than should be and the brake fluid is dark for the front brakes (rear is a bit lighter) . After that I wasn't able to ride my bike since I was out of town for work for quite some time. And recently I decided to change the oil and the filter for it. Comes out that ride now mechanics were severely wrong about the oil being good when I drained it had a burning sense and was all brown. Even found a few metal scraps at the bottom and the fork is having condensation on it, makes me wonder does the bike I bought actually has 10k miles or ride now sold me a bike that had a mile stopper on it because the motor also has an unexplainable sound to the right of the motor I'm having doubts that this is it's true milage read more

I spoke to a salesperson on the phone regarding ordering a Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000 base model. I was told that they could get one in 4 to 8 weeks so I made an offer and the individual stated that it would have to be a manager decision so I should come in and talk to him. I asked for the salesperson's name that I was speaking with and he pretty much blew me off when he stated, "well we have plenty of sales people so you can just talk to whom ever is available when you come in". I was thrown off by that statement as what type of salesperson does not want to make a sale? I got the impression that they were trying to pull the old bait and switch scheme. Regardless, I made an appointment and went down to discuss ordering a unit based on the offer I made. When I walked in I was guided to a salesperson by the name of Mike and told him what I would like to do. He then explained that they had no idea when the next units would come in and that I would have to pay the retail price. Immediately, I could tell this person was very inexperienced. My response was, "So you expect a customer to pay retail price with the understanding that you have no idea when it will be in?" At that point he did not respond and I just walked away and left. I was in and out in less than 10 mins because they were not interested in customer service, especially if you want to order a unit. All they are interested in is selling you what is on the floor. it is some what humorous when you consider that the MSRP on these units is simaliar to purchasing a car but they are not willing to negotiate the price. I have never had to pay MSRP for anything and do not intend to start now. The person I spoke to on the phone actually text me back after the fact to see if I dropped by. I explained how it was a big waste of my time. He apologized and reaffirmed that I could receive a unit in 4 to 8 weeks if I was still interested. Of course I refused his offer because if you can't get it right the first time, you will lose my business. I would not deal with this business again and can not recommend them. read more

Aug 7,2017 Just wanted to update this review from a 1 to a 5! The recovery was incredible as we're the folks I dealt with after my initial experience. I've become a super fan! Bought 2 Polaris 4 wheelers on Thursday and picked up on Friday. Spoke to GEneral Mgr, Eric and my Salesman, Frank on Friday about the poor performance of the first unit I took home on Thursday and my concern about the 2nd unit I was picking up on Friday. The maintenance mgr assured me he had checked both out and maybe all I needed was to swap out a spark plug. So now I've got $10,000 dollars sitting out in my driveway that won't idle and cannot perform for more than a few random minutes at a time. I contacted my salesman today to request a mechanic come out and adjust the carburetors because I think they may have been pre-fueled with contaminated gas before I left their service department. So sad too bad. They are closed. I want two new units or my money refunded. This is total bullshit performance! read more

Im going to be as honest as I can be these people are snakes and only want you for you're money i know that's how most dealerships are but still snakes like it's a zoo, after you buy the bike they barley acknowledge you they only look at you as money and not an actual human. After i bought my bike I called them to let them know what day I was gonna pick it up and to have it ready, they said yes we'll have it ready and guess what nope! Me n my dad had to wait at least 4 hours to get the bike i bought. Lazy ass people who can't do a simple job even when you let them know when you're coming. NOT THAT HARD GUYS!! would definitely recommend not going to them to do you're bike service either do it yourself or go to another mechanic shop don't waste your money on these lazy idiots who don't even know half the shit they're talking about. read more

If you're a novice, go see Corey Nations. He's very knowledgeable and helpful. This guy REALLY knows his stuff, but you never feel as if he's being pushy. You won't feel as if you're being sold to by someone who likens himself to "Cool Motorcycle Dude With Beard." Instead, you'll get "Smart Motorcycle Dude." He'll help you even if you are someone else's customer. Understand that these guys are on commission, so time spent with a sale they don't get credit for is time not spent with someone who could earn them a commission. Unfortunately, he didn't get credit for my sale because I already had a salesperson, but he assisted and gave us information that really clinched the deal for us. If this review were just about him, I'd give him 5 stars. Finance manager seemed a little slick to me-lots of pat answers and brush-offs to questions. You don't have a choice but to deal with him, so just grin and bear it. Seriously, just wait in line for Corey Nations. read more

I bought TWO brand new Can-Am Ryker Rally's less than a week ago. I have yet to ride one because it had a bad battery. I notified my salesman and 24 hours later I was told to come to the shop and exchange the battery. Well I took the battery off and took it into the shop. Low and behold, there was NO battery ready and waiting for me. A new battery was brought to me. I needed to re-install but I could not! The battery was not exactly the same therefore I could not install on my own. Again I reached out to my Saleswoman and I did not hear back for a full 24 hours. I also called the main number and got no answer. So now 41 hours after I could not install the battery, I have absolutely no resolution. I have spent too much money to be ignored and given such bad service. I guess they only wanted my signature on those papers and not a long-term satisfied customer. Traveling through Austin and need new tires and came here only to discover previous shop didnt tighten axle nut properly. Ruined axle and bearings. Thes guys took an axle off one of there floor bikes got new bearings and seals and got me out the door. Matt parts guy was awesome and Brant the Master Tech and Drew the service writer and Vic Anderson the sales Manager all came to my rescue. Great shop. Im watching out for people that deserve fair prices and have fun.. Customers need to watch out. I am a major consumer. I buy, buy, buy to see for myself. Update: I got it all put back together myself. The service writer said he would have to bill me for 1000 hours. It only took 4. Looks brand new and ready to go. Thanks for nothing guys. You should be shut down and the employees here fired for having attitude problems. Service writer said he wasn't able to take in my polaris rzr800 after explaining to me that he had "the best polaris mechanic in existence that could build a polaris from the frame up." His rationale was that it was a complete project even though all I did was remove the roll cage and fairings. He then proceeded to insult me stating that my 2011 had a rusted frame and was worth only $600 used. Ive never been so insulted in my life or been treated so poorly as a customer. I had to do everything within my will power to stop myself from walking into the building and trying to get him fired. He also proceeded to quote me 1000 hours worth of labor to replace a clutch. The fairings and rollcage took me 1 hour and a beer to remove. If this is their level of expertise, please avoid at all costs. I rarely write scathing reviews, but this gentleman lacks tact, clearly lacks experience, and needs to take a lesson in respect and customer service. This toxic mentality, lack of pride, and not setting fair expectations is why you will always remain at the bottom of the totem pole. I was planning on purchasing a slingshot after dropping off my rzr for repair, but after this terrible customer service experience I will never step foot on that property again. If I could give negative stars, I would. KEVIN, the "service manager" is about as helpful as a cock flavored lollypop. I'm also ashamed to admit that I now know that Yelp has a 5,000 word limit, so I'll try to scale my rage and just hit the lowest of the low points. 1. They ordered the wrong parts. According to Kevin it "only put us back a couple days" but when that couple days is tacked onto the MONTH they've already had the bike, it's important. 2. They BROKE the correct parts. A $500 fairing arrived undamaged. Jacob told me they had written "ok" on it, so he knew it had arrived in one piece. During the long wait for parts they mis-ordered, this new fairing some how got broken then Kevin tried to lie to me and said it arrived broken. Try again, bucko, your employee told me the TRUTH. 3. They scratched my rims in the bike lift and won't fix them. 4. They scratched the paint near my seat, and won't fix it. 5. THEY COMMITTED INSURANCE FRAUD. Someone lightly hit my front end, cracking the fairing. The bike never hit the ground, and has NEVER hit the ground in any instance. They billed a $162.00 crank case cover to my insurance, and for some reason took off my perfectly fine cover and VERY SLOPPILY put it back together. I posted a pic showing how they just smear the bonding agent all over the damn place. It's disgusting, and it NEVER HAD TO BE REPLACED IN THE FIRST PLACE. When I question them about WHY they replaced a perfect part no one has an answer. They say it was damaged. I send them pics showing a pristine crank cover: no response. 6. They told me my bike was done at 11:30am. I sat there UNTIL 7:30 because my bike in fact was not done. For 8 hours their "Master Techs" tried to install a brand name racing clutch lever with NO SUCCESS. I put it on myself in the parking lot USING A DAMN QUARTER. They of course, still blame the lever. 7. Because of their shoddy electrical work they fouled my neutral switch so the bike won't start correctly now. 8. AND NOW, the icing on the cake. One month later, I'm riding home in the dark. All of a sudden BOOM NO HEADLIGHTS. Yep, the dummies at Woods No-Fun Center replaced my entire headlight assembly too and I'm SURE their shitty work has caused this problem. 9. I was told I'd be getting some gift cards for my trouble. Thankfully I wasn't holding my breath, it's been over a month and NO GIFT CARDS. read more

We were connected with the sales associate Cameron O. via text, and he was kind enough to show us a few models (photos, description, etc) over the phone. We later visited the store and the sales associate was available to show us around the store, but also gave us some space to sit/explore the UTVs on our own before making our final decision. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR STOP READING AND SKIP THIS DEALER, BUY SOMEPLACE ELSE Had a truly "UnFun" experience at "Woods Un-Fun Center" on my 50th Birthday, totally ruined what was supposed to be an epic 50th Birthday. Sales manager chose to ruin my 50th over $20 dollars!! Here is the story. Was going to buy and Seadoo RSTX from them and infact had been approved for credit and a signed a deal. Came to take delivery on mayb 10th and asked the sales person if instead giving me a 100 dollar gift card they could provide a life vest for my wife that cost 119. ( was already buying my own vest and had a ski on order with 2700 dollars of accessories and extra labor, total was 21k+ That number included ovedr 1200 in dealer shipping and assembly chrages that while typical in the industry were of course flexible I was at first told yes, wife and I went to try on the vest and the sales manger came voer and tole me he would not honor the agreed deal, said he said in very rud way he had no ability to make it work. I asked him about perhaps discounting his labor or shipping by 20 and was told NO cant do it. Since i wanted to take delivery to get out to th lake that day I looked at him and said are you sure ? He said yes, no possible way to make it work. I said ok and told him we were leaving. No attempt by him was made to stop us and he genuinely looked happy to see us go as if he had won the battle! Drove a couple of miles to Central Texas Power sports and bought the same ski for less and also found out the trailer "Woods Un-fun Center" was claiming to sell me for $1.00 ( they actually built the price into the ski base nd then would not budge on base price) was undersized for the ski I was buying and might have been unsafe. The woods experience was like the worst stories you have ever heard about buying car, dishonest from the finance to the BS at the end, total scam culture in place and ZERO REGARD FOR WHATS BEST FOR THE CUSTOMER. Got calls from sales manger and vp of sales in the following days. all bullshit The place I bought was awesome, see my positive review of central Texas power sports for details. Cannot explain the level of disappointing that the unfun center created for me over 20 bucks, do yourself and anyone of your friends a favor and don't even go there. read more

Original post - I'm a fan of RideNow/BMW Motorcycles of Austin. Everyone there is friendly and knowledgeable. Why the 3 stars? It's only fair to give a balanced review and give you straight feedback on one of your outdated business practices. I'm very impressed with the service team and great work they do. I had some exhaust upgrade work done last winter on my BMW that was fairly complex, involved some shipping logistics, etc. The guys were helpful, informative, and handled the whole process like pros. The work was fairly priced and completed in a very reasonable time considering the logistics. Good communication the whole time. I couldn't be happier with that experience. The downside is(was) when considering a second bike the Ride Now website was not showing prices on several bikes. This lack of price transparency is disappointing. I get they don't want to get in price wars with other dealers online so not posting prices may be in their best interest, but it's frustrating for customers (which should be #1 concern). Nobody wants to "call for info", they just want to know how much. read more

I rode a motorbike pretty much everyday from age 16 thru to 22. Then for numerous reasons I stopped. Fast forward 38 years later, aged 60, and I decided I wanted to ride again. After months of looking at bikes online, checking out countless You Tube reviews of all the different bikes I was interested in I decided the new bike for me would be a classic Triumph retro model. Now all I had to do was go out and buy one! I soon landed on the local Austin Triumph dealer at Ride Now. So I drove out to their showroom to check out their wide collection of Triumphs. On my arrival I was greeted by one of their salesmen, Winston. From the start, all the way through to the after sales, Winston was excellent in every respect. He listened to my needs and concerns patiently and offered lots of good advice that I was very grateful for. He even helped me with picking out some great gear to ride in. He maintained excellent communication throughout the process and made sure my plates, title etc were taken care of and would arrive on schedule - which they did. He has checked in with me by text to see how I'm getting on with my new Triumph T-120 and I'm pleased to say that so far I'm loving it. Thanks Winston for all your help! I got a great deal on my bike and I would also like to recognize the help I got from "English Nick" in parts. He was a fountain of information about Triumphs and motorcycles in general and because of the excellent service I received from Winston and Nick I feel very happy and comfortable with my purchase and would certainly go back to Ride Now for any future motorcycling needs. This place is the reason that the sales industry has a bad name. I live 12 hours away and in good faith gave them all my information in order to finance a jet ski with a trailer (over $10K). After the approval process, we made arrangements for me to make the drive and pick it up the following week. I offered to send my $3k down payment and was told that wasn't necessary. Over the next couple days, I had a hitch installed on my car, took vacation time, and reserved a hotel room. As discussed, early Monday am I started the drive to TX. Around 10am I receive a call from the salesman telling me that the jet ski had been sold on Saturday and is no longer available. I explained that I was only a few hours away and had made arrangements to pick it up later that day. The response was that they have other jet skis available for sale. My husband and I had a great experience. He started the process online, we showed up and Eric and Matthew helped with finishing paperwork and showed us the bike. These guys were great, I think we got more excited about surprising our son in just talking with them and then showing their excitement! The girl in the apparel department (hate that I can't remember her name) was great as well. She helped us pick out what we needed to keep my son safe and was even knowledgeable and safety features of the product and which were the best. This is my sons first dirt bike, and our first time buying one. We asked a lot of questions and were never made to feel like the questions were dumb, they were replied with detailed answers. Wellllll, It sounds like I am not the only female that has had a bad experience here. I filled out an online application to purchase a bike, and was advised my app was approved. I followed up with the sales manager by phone and email 2 or 3 times. Did not hear back. Then called again yesterday, spoke with a lady who said she would have someone contact me. I haven't heard anything from these morons, so guess what? Yeah! I went to another dealership and spent $30,000.00 cash on a new bike! Poor suckers. I know they ignore and treat women badly here. The two stars are because my initial contact Eric P was super nice. It was the finance guy that 100% douched me out of buying. They won't give you any pricing info over the phone, so I drove 35miles from Dripping Springs to look at a Kawasaki Mule advertised for $6000. When I arrived, this was in a back lot with about 10 rows of these, 5 deep. I was able to look at it, but not drive it bc it was knee deep in their inventory. I asked Eric if it had a warranty and he just said "yeah." I'm guessing he didn't know how long. I also asked how fast it went when we were on the phone and he said "oh, I dunno, maybe 50mph?" It goes 25mph, by the way. I sat down with the finance guy who had the creepy car salesman vibe. Granted, I was prepared to pay cash, unless the financing was deal was super badass. He offered me a 4% interest rate for 36mo. I told him "I'm pretty sure I can do better with my bank." He asked who i banked with, and then said that was who he banks with, and "there is NO WAY they could beat 4%." In my mind I'm thinking "fool, I can get a signature loan for 2.1...." but whatevs. The grand finale was that the $6000 model magically jumped to $7800 after "assembly and shipping fees". Really dude? You bought 900 of these and sent them in a freight carrier (and by the looks of your lot you've paid yourself back already ten fold.) He tried to give me some recorded answer by asking "how long do you plan to hold on to this investment...." blah, blah. Dude, you're barking up the wrong tree. This place is a customer service joke!!! So much so I logged an official complaint with Polaris. I thought Polaris should know how terribly this dealership treats customers interested in their products. I will be sure to tell anyone I talk to to avoid giving this place their business. The story: I went in to inquire about a Polaris Ranger Texas Edition. I was told they were only allowed to order 1 and it was already spoken for, but they would take my information and call me if something changes. At the time the price was understood to be the MSRP. Weeks later I get a call saying they got the unit in and the other buyer backed out. I thought "how lucky am I?", boy was I wrong. They told me that Polaris raised it's MSRP by $1,400 10 days prior to this call and that if I wanted it that's what I would have to pay. I stated that my name was "unofficially" on it when the price was lower and that I was willing to pay the old MSRP and pick it up that day. I even mentioned that their website and ATV Trader ad listed the unit at the lower price as well. They told me the price is the price and there was nothing they could do. I wasn't trying to haggle, I was even willing to pay their EXORBITANT destination and delivery charges.
