I like my ham taylor'd, and my pork rolled
    Ari J.

There are two types of New Jerseyites... those who say Pork Roll and those who say Taylor Ham. If you say "Taylor Ham" then you are from the North and east part of the state. If you say "PorkRoll" then your are wrong. It's a disseminating line that divides our fine state from North to South.. so clearly this line! The right side... and the wrong side. And from whichever you hail you can procure the best NJ breakfast sandwich around, right here.

Food is made fresh and with love but some may say it's a bit greasy Rye bread was delicious Omelets were huge and come with home fries which could have been cooked longer Service is amazing! Place is old but clean Cash preferred there is a credit card fee Parking is 2 cars only Will return

Breakfast sammy at Ridgedale Lunch, Morristown - nice thin sliced Taylor ham, egg & cheese with just a dab of mustard. Friendly staff.

The Morristown location sits right on South Street across from the Green. It gets very busy for breakfast/brunch but they are also open for lunch and dinner. I really enjoy their all-day brunch menu. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Goddess salad which was delicious. I am obsessed with the dressing paired with this salad. It was extremely light, creamy, and perfect for summer. The Fried Pickles were also breaded nicely and the Spinach Artichoke Dip was super creamy. There is a decent amount of seating available inside and a few tables for outdoor dining. I also decided to order the chipotle bacon burger this time as my main. It was a tad too salty and lacked the chipotle sauciness for me. The sweet potatoes waffle fries was yummy. Maybe next time I'll just go with the Brie Burger. Overall the service was quick and super nice. Notable mentions are when I asked for barbecue sauce on the side and since there were two kinds, the waitress gave me one of each. I would definitely come back or visit another branch.

The dish came with guacamole and potatoes (with sauce) and it was a magnificent medley of flavors. We were a party of 12 and I sampled several dishes including the beet and carrot salad, salmon club sandwich and a hamburger. All was good (though I like my steak and eggs the best). This is a relatively small restaurant and it was rather loud when we went on a Sunday morning. It was ,however, well-worth visiting.

We ended up paying almost $500 for fewer than five people, and there was little to no accurate information leading up to the event. When we signed up and paid, we were told that drinks, mocktails, the iced latte cart, and other extras were included (I even have a screenshot of that). Then, on the day of the event, we were told the drinks we ordered weren't included, which was frustrating but at least we knew After that, we specifically asked if the champagne being served outside was complimentary before grabbing a glass, and we were told yes. We were still charged for it anyway and had to go through a 45 min hassle to get it removed from our bill (along with everyone else there) To make matters worse, the iced latte cart wasn't there, the mocktails weren't included as expected, and they ran out of the flower bar, which was one of the main attractions even though it wasn't mentioned in the first place. We were there for about 4 1/2 hours, and for what we ultimately paid, the experience just didn't match the cost. If they knew several advertised features weren't going to be available, they should have communicated that ahead of time or at least offered guests the option to cancel or receive a refund. There was a lot of potential, but for nearly $500, it needed to be much more organized and transparent- but all in all you live and you learn!

They had an indoor dining room and an outdoor patio. We opted for the indoor dining room due to the heat wave. For breakfast, I ordered a chocolate chip crumb muffin and a pecan bar. I've never heard of a Chocolate Chip Crumb Muffin before, but it was delicious! The pecan bar was good as well. Unfortunately, I didn't order a drink because I don't like coffee and the only non-coffee drink they had was Hot Chocolate and unsweetened iced tea. Too hot for hot chocolate and I don't like unsweetened iced tea. The ladies at the counter were very nice though and gave me some tap water! Overall a great experience. Sad I just found out about this place as they prepare to close their doors in September.

The space on the first floor is divided into a lively bar area with plenty of TVs and a slightly quieter main dining room with comfortable booths and tables. There is also seating on an outdoor terrace on the second floor and a few tables in front of the restaurant on South Street if you're up for dining al fresco. It's a terrific option in Morristown that's sophisticated enough for a date on the outdoor terrace when the weather cooperates or a pre-theater meal in the dining room, yet casual enough for beers and appetizers while watching a game in the bar area. The menu captures the essence of modern American comfort food. Whether you're grabbing the Stirling Burger ($18) -- made from a tasty short rib and brisket blend -- or splurging on the Grilled New York Strip ($48) topped with crabmeat fries, the quality is evident. They are also great with dietary restrictions. Between the various poultry, fish, and vegetarian options on the menu and the kitchen's willingness to make moderate accommodations in any other dish, there's something for everyone. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. We recently celebrated my niece's 21st birthday here, and our server made it memorable by honoring her milestone birthday by playfully asking for her ID EVERY SINGLE TIME she ordered a drink. It became a running joke for the night and made the occasion feel extra special. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is that both sides of the main floor can get pretty loud when it's packed and the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Stirling Tavern offers a Happy Hour Monday through Friday between 3pm and 6pm, which features specials on certain cocktails, wines, beers, and light snacks. You must be seated at the bar to take advantage of the promotional pricing. If you enjoy a good Old Fashioned, try the JB ($10), made with Four Roses bourbon, blood orange amaro, orange & angostura bitters. PRO TIP #2: Stirling Tavern does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of paid on-street parking on South Street or Maple Avenue. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, paid parking is also available in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot #8 (@ 10 Franklin Street) and Vail Parking Area (@ 110 South Street). FREE on-street parking is located on MacCulloch Avenue, just two blocks from Stirling Tavern.
