I ordered takeout and the waitress (wish I remembered her name) was absolutely awesome!! I had the spaghetti and 1 meatball (they're sold separately). The meatball was huge!!! The portion of spaghetti was also huge!! I ate it for three meals!! My boyfriend had the shrimp Alfredo. The portion size wasn't as big, but it was still a lot!! The shrimp was big and delicious. The salads were good and fresh. The only complaint was they only gave a tiny bit of salad dressing so order extra if ordering to go. Overall it was great!! Maybe a little pricey, but for the amount of food we got it was okay. Oh we also had fried mozzarella sticks and a cake. Both were delish!! First time eating here and it was 5 star from beginning to end..this is a hidden gem . The staff and our waitress a beautiful girl named Kya made the dining experience a delight.I am a italian chef from the east coast and have all local italian resturants tried out..included the swanky in Port A to the island venues including whats offered down town..nothing comes close to this wonderful place..prices included..so if you like italian food from scratch then you will be missing out if you don't do yourself a favor and try this Place out! Owner Nora Acuna and her staff are the VERY BEST! We reserved the restaurant for a private Memorial luncheon for my deceased brother. The food was prepared with love & focused on a real world excellence and experiance. I mentioned that my brother was an Astro baseball super fan, and the staff wore their Astro baseball t-shirts/jerseys in his honor! The service, the food, drinks, and desserts were all exemplary and the price was very reasonable & affordable. All the staff went the extra mile to make us feel at ease and treated us with dignity for our recent loss. Superb! The rustic ambiance is charming and gives you the feel of Italy. Last week my wife and I got to experience something really special. We went to a place called Rigatoni's Italian Restaurant. The food was delicious. The prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was cozy. The staff was so kind and friendly. The owner, Nora, was so very accommodating (even giving us an old bar sign that she wasn't using anymore at no charge). The icing on the cake though was the performance by Hector Gutierrez Sr. He knew so many cool crooner songs, even Nat King Cole's Nature Boy! That's a rare one. He also had some cool country and pop arrangements. I got a bunch of pictures (including the entire menu with prices) and a good video of one of the songs Hector did. Sorry if I messed it up with my singing. I was trying to be quiet but I couldn't help myself. I was just so into it. I can't believe this place has been on Leopard Street for 24 years and I'm just now learning about it! Giving this 2 stars because the staff was really friendly and attentive. We went back in December, and it looked and felt clean, and the decor was cute. The reason for the three stars was the food. I ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta. The Alfredo sauce reminded me more of a chicken gravy with parm. The chicken was all cut in pieces where some looked older than the other pieces. There also wasn't enough sauce. The Caesar dressing on my salad was pretty good, though, and tasted like it was made in-house. My husband felt the same about his food. So we won't be returning, and that's more of a flavor preference issue than anything else. read more

Let's break this down from the start. Troy seated us and was very polite. He took our drink order and handed us off to the girl who was actually our waitress (Never caught her name). She had to be called out to take our order about 10-15 minutes into the night. We ordered one salad and one soup. She brought the wrong dressing and the wrong soup. We ordered a snapper dish and a tour of Italy. The brought your or Roma and actually brought the correct fish. She came by with a to go box which we didn't need or want. She returned with our check which was for $0.70....it was for the to go box! I really wanted to leave a dollar and walk out but I paid the actual bill once I flagged Troy down to have it corrected. They weren't busy. There were five tables in there including us. A total of 10 people. The food was below average. We hadn't eaten there in 8-10 years and thought we would try it again. They always had a really good tomatoes soup but not anymore. Their tomato sauce is sweet. The lasagna was mainly ricotta cheese. The spaghetti with sauce was runny. My fish dish wasn't terrible but they used pickled jalapeños. The onions in the sauce weren't even cooked through. It was a waste of $50. Don't think I will be back for another decade. Was recommended this place by a family friend and i decided to give it a shot. I was the furthest from dissatisfied i have ever been. The restaurant was very neatly prepared and perfectly decorated, we were quickly sat by Troy, the best waiter i have had in a long time, his hospitality is unmatched. Food was quickly served and the presentation was worth much more than face value. Food was amazing and i enjoyed absolutely every single bite. Prices are beyond fair with a hearty dinner for 2 coming out to around $40. Rigatoni's is a great option to take your significant other on a cute Italian food date. This establishment will over charge you and attempt to pass it off as justifiable. The prices listed online do not match what they charge in person. When you call them out on incorrectly charging you they give you the runaround and try to pass it off as customer negligence. If you are a local trying to support a local establishment please avoid this place because they are running a con. This is my favorite Italian Restaurant. I love their Eggplant Parmesan. My husband always orders something new and he is always 100% satisfied. The service is always good. They also have the best tomato basil soup. Definitely authentic Italian food. It's been around for years and I consider it a gym in our area. I highly recommend. Nora ( manager ), when you came to our table our food was already removed and we had to-go boxes with the ticket book in front of us. But we didn't take leftovers afterwards knowing it could of had rust flakes in it. So we were done eating and drinking but we stayed to talk. Flakes were all over the table while we ate but we thought it was crumbs from the bread. But we realized it was something else ( a/c rust flakes ). You cannot tell me the flakes started after the heater was turned on when you were not sitting at our table. By the we noticed it was to late. This was something we had digested and unsanitary. As a business renter of the building you are still responsible for the cleaning and up keep of it and any repairs needed. Pictures shows what was on our table. I had the Veal Parmesan Siciliano, it was excellent! Best I've had. The service was top notch, and the atmosphere was lively and comfortable. The owner came to check on us half way through our meal. I'm Italian and my dad was a chef who speciality was Italian, so I get I'm super picky and expect a lot compared to people. This is by far one of the worse tasting food I have ever had. First - I ordered manicotti - they offer chicken and cheese. Never once did I say chicken $12 and come change. Our waitress should have asked because the price difference is huge. The noodle was hard, looked like a lasagna noodle wrapped up, not sure what kind of ricotta it had but it was gross and bland. My kid order pizza - it was a typical pizza he could have gotten at chilli and cooked just okay. Second - ordered cannoli and excited because finding a good cannoli is hard. They offer 2 for 7 and some change. Again our waitress decided we needed two orders instead of one. I'm not sure what this restaurant believes cannoli are made up but it's a simple recipe and this was just nasty. It was brown and runny (I believe it was what they have their tiramisu) in the cannolis. My son picked it up and it feel out on one side. Nothing on the middle. If you don't know what good Italian food is, you will probably like this restaurant. But it's not Italian at all. read more
