Just picked up an order of RigaTony's Curbside Jambalaya special. It is so good! I was going to have half for lunch and the rest for dinner, but I'm having a hard time putting it down. Can't forget their side salad that comes with it. The best side salad around. My only complaint is that I can't be eating the salad in the restaurant when it's all you can eat. Classic good Italian food. They never disappoint. Like the namesake, the baked Rigatoni is fantastic. All the entrees come with a delicious tossed salad with, onion, peppercinni, cheese, olives, and salami with the perfect Italian dressing. You can never go wrong with this place. I miss having the shrimp scampi on the menu. In past years I found out I am allergic to shrimp (although I show no signs) and the shrimp scampi is the only shrimp dish I can't say no to. We love this place generally bit tonight the service was not so good. Our waiter was so not in the mood to talk or listen or apparently be at work. Everything came out correctly but he had absolutely no personality. Kinda ruined my time there. I wanted more salad but never had the opportunity to ask for it. Waited for over an hour to be seated, but was definitely worth the wait. I don't think I've been served a better entree salad and bread in my life! Our server, Mary Katherine, was a delight. Food was prepared fresh and hot. Calamari was exquisite and pasta plates were served cheesy and full of sauce. Recommend asking for their frequent diner's card before leaving because you'll be back for more! Seating was comfortable and spaced out enough to where you aren't right next to anyone else. Atmosphere makes you feel like you're right at home. Definitely nice to know this place lived up to what all my friends have been talking about. Will be back soon! read more

Delicious and wonderful service by Amour (sp?) The antipasto salad was the best I've ever had, served with crusty bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Those filled me up so much that I couldn't eat much of my entree. Entree was chicken fettuccine Alfredo and I was a bit worried about my fav dish because of a previous review BUT it was a creamy, garlicky buttery sauce just as it should be. Lots of leftovers and Amour even brought me extra sauce when she boxed up my leftovers. Would definitely return! read more

We have been customers of The family owned Rigatony's since moving to the SE Valley 21 years ago. We love, love, love Rigatony's Italian Food. Their quality is as high as it was 21 years ago!! Love their endless antipasto salad (always fresh) and warm bread. We eat at Rigatony's about once a week. When family comes to visit - Rigatony's is a must dinner visit. All their entrees are all excellent. Can't beat their spaghetti with meat sauce & meatballs! Do call and make a reservation if planning ahead for dinner. Rigatony's is very busy 7 days a week. Been eating here since their original location for 12 years. True. Authentic. Italian. I'll make this review short and sweet, otherwise it would be multiple paragraphs long and no one would read it. My family is from New Jersey, I love Italian, I AM Italian, best Italian restaurant in the valley. from the homemade dressing on the exceptional salad for which I have actually purchased by the bottle and took home, to the tender love and care they put in each dish, its exceptional. Some of my favorite dishes are as followed in no particular order- fried ravioli, anything Alfredo, penne rosa with sausage, shrimp capellini, and although I don't eat them, my grandfather sears by their mussels and clams. How much more Italian does it get than that? PS I no longer live in the east valley, and still drive 40 minutes when I'm able just for a meal. Lunch specials are also great ! Authentic Italian restaurant. Food is delicious and comes with a large salad and complimentary bread. However, the tables are very close in proximity to each other making it seem as if you're a part of your neighboring eater's conversation. Restaurant is loud. Very good southern Italian food. Meals come with a great salad that is served family style. The salad together with the bread are worth coming to RigaTony's. The portions are generous. The service is attentive without being an annoyance. The overall result is a very good meal at a great price. I had the chicken cutlet picatta. It was tender and tasty and smothered with mushrooms and capers. Others in our group had the lasagna, the eggplant parmesan and penna pasta. Food was excellent! We have been a fan for a long time. Not the best evening-we were seated next to a booth with a couple out for dinner to discuss their divorce. For 42 minutes we listened to them argue at an elevated level and watched the servers and the manager walk by time after time not saying a word to them. We finally said something but the other table wasn't addressed. Would be nice for the staff to go to bat for the other customers so they can enjoy their dinner. read more

Oreganos is probably one of the most famous restaurants in Arizona but I wish everyone who went there would go here. This is Oreganos 2.0 or 3.0. The food quality, the authentic aesthetic, the portion size, and the selection of menu items are incredible. Whatever your favorite Italian dish is get it here I'm sure it'll be amazing, not to mention their apple bread pudding desert. You have to leave room to try that. Been wanting to go here for a long time. There is always a 1 to 2 hour wait. We made reservations (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) for a Friday night. They got us right in! We were super impressed with the salad and the bread was very good too. The service was excellent. My husband got the sampler plate I can't remember what it is but the one thing that was really good on it was the manicotti. Everything else kind of lacked flavor. My dish was some kind of pasta dish with chicken and vegetables. It had a light creamy sauce but it was really flavorless. read more

FANTASTIC!!!! Party of 2. Saturday, 5:15pm. 20-30 minutes wait, sat at bar and had a drink. Had the trio of Sangrias...nothing to special here. None of them tasted like a true Sangria, the apple was the best. Sat within 20 minutes, nice spacious table. Promptly greeted by our waiter, who did inform us that it was his second night out of training. Very pleasant and handsome young man who was fresh out of the Navy. great personality. Ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer, bartender actually did bottle presentation (to be expected with a new server). Great wine selection! Then ordered Lasagna and the Veal Parmesan. The Antipasto salad and fresh baked bread were delivered, DELICIOUS! (Got a tip from the friend who recommended we try RigaTony's. He said to ask for balsamic vinegar and chopped garlic to add to the olive oil for dipping the bread in. Thanks Greg) Dinner arrived and flavors were rich and sauce had a great tang as well as small bit of sweetness. Pasta was perfectly cooked, veal was tender with a great breading. Lasagna was good, sausage inside was tasty. We had stuffed ourselves with bread and salad so were full within 3-4 bites of dinner. Ordered a dessert to take home, they corked the bottle of wine so we could take the rest with us. Did inform the waiter that we never got our appetizer, but it was OK because we didn't need it anyway. All in all this is a place we will definitely be returning to! Best Italian I have had since moving from the East Coast 4 years ago. Don't forget to ask for your frequent diner card at the end!!!! Three of us came in for lunch on Tuesday, Feb. 10 and the service we received was fantastic. My only regret is I lost my receipt and can not name our server, but we were in the room off the patio toward the Warner Rd side and our server was new to us, as we come in regularly. We asked her to check with the kitchen to see if they would make our favorite appetizer, the fried tortellini with lobster sauce and the kitchen agreed ...as always. Please put it back on the menu we miss it. She had no idea what it was but did as we asked. The rest of our meal and service was incredible as always. We have travel to Tempe and use to go to the old place on Arizona just to eat at your place from Casa Grande because of the friendly staff and great food. Cute atmosphere, like home. Our server was super nice we had dinner today for my moms Birthday. We had the Chicken Parmesan, Margherita Pie, Baked Rigatoni, and my Vegetarian brother had the Spaghetti with marinara and veggies, and we had antipasto salad that was included with all entrees. Everything was delicious. I also had the Sangria Trio all three were delicious. I came here for lunch and was very pleased with it. I opted for the lunch special (baked RigaTony). The food was good and an amazing deal at $7.75. This also included salad and bread. For $10, I had a good sized dish of pasta, salad (enough for two good sized plates if I wanted it), bread, and a soda. It's tough to beat a deal like that for the amount of food I got. I showed up right around noon and they were pretty busy with a lunch rush, so I would recommend going a bit earlier or a bit later to try to avoid that rush. Overall...good food, great price. Oh the pasta-bilities..... That's what we had for lunch. Built our own pasta bowls. Angel hair pasta with clams in a garlic and butter sauce. To say I'm disappointed...well that would be an understatement. For many weeks my Company made a reservation for our annual Manager's appreciation dinner. Party of 12 - Tony's room (We've been patronizing this restaurant for 15 years...)...At the last minute (8 hours before our scheduled time), we had another person decide to join....being proactive we contacted Rigatony's as to not surprise them. We were told that they do not take reservations in the dining room for more than 10 people. (Since we no longer could fit in Tony's room, we would have to move to the dinning room.) This reservation was for 8:30 pm....Consequently, our reservation was cancelled and I was stuck at the last minute to try to find a suitable restaurant for my party. I'm sorry...this was not right as they were absolutely inflexible to work with us on this. We will NEVER be back...ever! read more

We just moved to Tempe from Scottsdale and every time we drive by this place the parking lot was packed so we had to check it out. And so glad we did! Delicious food at a great price that includes yummy bread and an amazing antipasto salad. We are regulars now, have been there for happy hour and dinner a dozen times and it's consistently good.
