Thank you to Tim of Right Movers for putting up with us having to reschedule twice with a few days notice. Dan, Dom and Erick are the most professional team of movers that I have ever met. Their positive attitude and non stop work ethic is commendable. I ended up selling my fridge, washer/dryer and queen sized bed to the new tenant moving in to my old house. So so so happy with these guys. Especially after my last experience with movers, suffice to say I was extremely paranoid about moving companies. But Right Movers gave me no reason to be. Right from the get go, they were patient and prompt with their replies. Because we changed our requirements so many times, we ended up requesting for NINE quotations from Tim and never once did he flinch (some quotations came in at 7am, others at 12am - he seems to work at all hours!). Our move itself was full of last-minute changes. 1) a few days before the move, we learned the roads to our new house were too narrow and winding for a 26-foot truck to access. Tim was happy to arrange for a smaller 14-foot truck to ferry our items from the 26-footer, up the hill to our new house 2) 6-8 hours before we were due to move, we were told we could not move in to our new house yet, so all of our items had to go into storage. As a result, we requested for Tim to cancel the 14-foot truck. Tim was happy to oblige 3) halfway through the move, we had to remove our sofas from the truck. Being that they had been one of the first items to go in, it meant the crew had to unload the truck to get our sofas out. They were very pleasant about it, considering the extra work 4) when the crew got to our storage unit, we found out we had access to our new house so asked Tim to rearrange the smaller truck...and he did it! Just a great, positive experience all around. The crew Aaron, Jose and Joe were friendly, professional and had the best attitude considering the number of changes we made, and how many small, individual items we had to move. They were with us from 8:30am to 7pm and never once did their enthusiasm or energy wane...we had a 500lb statue that they handled, no problem. And to top it off, they were creative with their problem-solving of moving delicate, heavy items. After all that, Tim still came under quotation! Such a pleasant experience. Last year when I used Right Movers, it was a wonderful experience. Knowing I was going to move again in a few weeks, I couldn't wait to book with them again. Unfortunately, this time around wasn't so great. I was quoted over $2000 for my move this year, which blew me away! Last year I paid $645 for two men to move my one bedroom apartment to another apartment. While I do have a few extra items this year (a treadmill, table and IKEA entertainment center), I pretty much have the same amount of stuff as last year. I am not sure what caused the price to sky rocket so much, although I feel like it is meant to be a brush off. When the owner came on Wednesday for the estimate, he arrived late and said he had already done 9 quotes that day. I got the feeling the company is just slammed with business, and they aren't interested in booking with me because my move would almost be small potatoes. By quoting an insane price, he must know I will decline. That's too bad, as I really did have a good experience the first time. I feel I should also mention that he promised me a quote either that same night or first thing the next morning, but that didn't happen either. My wife and I recently moved from Yorba Linda to Orange Park Acres. We have a tremendous amount of "stuff" and wanted to make sure it would not get damaged in the move. However in the moving process we noticed while unpacking we were missing two containers full of miscellaneous coins, probably several hundred dollars in value. Called and was initially sent to voicemail. I received a call back hours later. They asked to schedule a virtual walkthrough via FaceTime which is completely fine. I asked for it to be after I was off work. It was scheduled for the following week from 5:30 to 6:30. Never received a call so I responded to the confirmation email I was sent. I was told that the person who was supposed to reach out to me had an "emergency".
