Came here after a day of brewery hopping. Wasnt expecting much as this was a last minute add-on to the trip. But no longer as both pies we had we're truly excellent. Having grown up in Northern NJ close to many great bar pies (see Star Tavern, Kinchleys), I have high standards. Riko's did not disappoint. In fact I thought the pizza here was truly excellent and up there with the very best. My friends also thought so as well. Not sure why Colony gets all the attention, as this is definitely in the same league (note that the pies here are saucier, and the spicy pie not as spicy). On any other nite I would have given you 5 stars. Normally live this place and the food, but tonite we had literally the most inattentive bartender period. She was more concerned with talking at nauseam with 2 women at the bar about some social event she is planning rather than taking care of ANY of her guests. Checked 1 time to see if salad was ok, not at all about our pizza or drinks. Beverage sat empty for 8 minutes BEFORE I started writing this..........still empty........................still empty (get my point?)I can literally tell you every detail of her event because that's the only conversation being had. We had to flag her attention to ask for cheese and oregano which are always offered by everyone else except for Chatty Cathy. Used to be a fan of there hot oil stinger pizza, but not anymore after the last delivery order on 11/12/2017. Pizza arrived after an hour and was a big disappointment. Pizza was cold and way too soggy. Called the place, the associate gave a lame excuse that it is soggy cos there are lot of toppings (really?) Then i asked about the "cold" part, on which he offered a replacement and was told that it will be delivered in 40 mins. In 5 minutes got a call back informing that it will take more than 1 hour 15 mins and was asked if instead i will accept a credit for future order. I accepted the credit for future order as it was already more than 1 hr and i cannot wait for next 1.5 hr with no guarantee. Well till today i am waiting for that credit. I even send an email reminding their commitment, but no reply. Such a scam! read more

Went to the one by Stamford/Greenwich border. The wait was 30 minutes for a table for me and my 2 kids. Have to say was not impressed. The service was not great. It was way too loud. Couldn't hear my kids talk to me. The menu was very limited. We ordered wings. They were good but only 6 for 9.99. The pizza that we ordered was so small and so expensive. There were only 6 small pieces for one pizza. By the time we had a second piece, the crust was so cold and hard. We got out of there quick. My kids said let's never go back! read more

For 2.5 years during the pandemic, we ordered fromnRoko's about once a month. Not our favorite place but was fine, but we wanted to support local establishments that stayed open and do something to keep them afloat during that time. We called to get delivery from them tonight and they told me that we were outside of their delivery range. Guess business is booming and they didn't have to deliver to their regular customers anymore. read more

I don't have a problem with this place at all... other than what they call "pizza". I guess some people must like it, but it's really the cheapest, thinnest cracker-pizza-like food you can get. It shouldn't really be called pizza at all, because it is not. It's sort of a joke to mention "cracker pizza", but this is it in the flesh. This is the real deal. Each pizza uses a whopping 2 ounces of dough to make this ultra-thin, easily burnt wafer of a crust. I've tried to like Riko's twice, but they have failed me both times. It's my own fault because I knew what I was in for after the first time. The "new" Amore across the street suffers from the same cracker-pizza syndrome. Who is encouraging this cracker-food? Do you people actually like it? Is there really a demand, or are they just making it because it costs them $2 in materials and labor to make? It must be the highest possible margin in the pizza-making world. I was excited when they opened on Hope Street as this is very close to where I live, and they did a really nice job with the small little building. I really want to be able to walk down the street to enjoy a nice warm, cozy meal on a freezing cold day... but the pizza won't draw me. I'll take another look at their menu and see if they have anything else that's not geared to drive maximum profit from the gullible masses. If I was on a desert island and only could eat one thing the rest of my life, it would be Riko's hot oil pizza. I've only had delivery (about once a week) so can't say what it's like in the restaurant, but the 3.5 star rating baffles me. Best pizza in New York metro. read more

My boyfriend and I ordered a pizza on Saturday night. We ordered 1/2 cheese and 1/2 sausage and pepperoni. When it was delivered, I have to say we were in shock. The crust was so thin that it was almost non existant but what was there was burnt, there was hardly any cheese or meat. Plus it was extremely greasy. It really was inedible. We called the store to complain and asked to speak to the manager. After being placed on hold, we were told the manager wasn't there. I spoke with a woman on the phone who explained that what we had was their style of pizza? She said that the cheese was melted in and that is why we didn't see it??? She offered to give us a credit towards our next purchase. Ummmm why would we want to purchase again? I thanked her but explained that we would not be calling again and to please issue a refund. She initially said she couldn't do that but finally relented and offered the refund. We have not yet seen it hit our bank account but that could be do to the weekend. Fabulous! Colony is good and this is obviously similar, but I felt like this pizza has a bit more to it. Crust was maybe just slightly thicker, but still well cooked & a good balance between crunchy & ever so slightly chewy. Great flavor. Meatball with black olives was wonderful. High marks for flavor. I had the sausage with stinger peppers. The sausage was excellent, the peppers were appropriately hot and flavorful (my son said they could have been hottter). However, I would call their large size pizza is really a medium ... not the best bang for the buck. read more

Wings were pretty good for being oven baked, was the best margehrtia pizza I ever had, was so crispy and crunchy had the perfect amount of sauce on it too, hot oil pie was good too spicy but had a sweet tangy after taste better than colony grill, pizzas were way bigger than colony grill and colony grill only serve pizza no wings read more
