It is a great place to get a Meal the food is well prepared always cooked to your taste and always has great flavor. The Service is excellent and the owners are always on premises and willing to answer any concerns or questions. During the Summer months it has outside dining and a bar with plenty of seating. We stopped in after a day of kayaking, looking for good beer, a nice atmosphere and appetizers. We were sat right away at a high top table. The waitress took our beer and nacho order and they came out pretty quickly via food runner. I'm the meantime, the hostess walked around without a mask on and when she was at her station was on her phone. Our waitress did not check in at all and was seen having shots with friends. When she finally emerged (20 minutes later) she went out back for a cigarette. We asked another server for our check and to see a manager. The manager took an additional 15 minutes (in which time we spoke to another couple experiencing the same server). He was rude and unapologetic, making excuses for the server and finally slamming his fist on our table. Needless to say, we will not be back. Wow, an unknown stop after fishing spruce run unvailed a diamond! We ordered wings, brisket sandwich and chopped salad. They brought out shared portions for each of us and we didn't even have to ask. Food was phenomenal! Nice job chef! Will definitely be back. read more

I'm not one to write a negative review but I decided to stop & order what I hoped would be a good quality juicy burger. Unfortunately it was anything but that. I even asked for the burger to be pink in the middle, it came well done with a burnt taste & oversalted fries. First time visiting yesterday for lunch. We were greeted promptly and cheerfully by Melissa who was also our server. We asked about popular dishes and she did not disappoint. My sister and I shared the Cobb salad and the Brie and bacon burger. The salad was not only spit for us it was absolutely delicious. The combination of fresh ingredients and homemade dressing made this a winner. The burger also came out split and was juicy and flavorful. Home run! We will revisit. Sunday February 16'th 2020: My first time at Riley & Jake's and I will definitely be back. Burgers were tasty, waitress was pretty, beer was cold, atmosphere and decor suited my elderly tastes what the hell else do I need . Excellent menu choices with speedy service (you simply whisper your need and magically it's on your table.) Great! Took my sister & her hubby here for a double date. We make reservations on open table for sat night and immediately were seated. Waitress was friendly and food was good! We had some Drinks that were good & some appetizers. Had crab bites, nachos & Wings. The wings were like grilled and pretty crispy. I liked them a lot. Nachos were good! Of course and I think the crab bites were good too! Successful 1st course. I had a salad with goat cheese and it was good! I liked it. Not big but it was okay size. Other people got the salmon special, pulled pork & pretzel burger. Everyone enjoyed there dinner! Of course we had dessert. Brownie & peanut butter mouse! Yummy! Stopped in with a friend for a sandwich and a beer at the outside patio. A server was at our table within a minute and drinks were promptly served. The patio area was almost at capacity and that didn't impact the service we received. I had the fish an chips and it was cooked to perfection, crisp not greasy. Great staff, good food. read more

I moved out of the area many years ago. But since this place opened l, it is a must visit every time I need to come by. The food has always been consistently good. Today, we came with Al someone in a wheelchair. Called ahead and they ensured the ramp was in place and as usual food was awesome. The steak Gorgonzola salad was excellent. My wife had the open face Reuben which she loved. Nice atmosphere in the dining room that lets you have a conversation with people you are with. If you haven't tried this place, give it a try. Stopped in this lovely restaurant on an early September weekend when the weather was warm. They have a lovely patio where patrons are seated at safe social distances. The staff all wore masks and hand sanitizer was readily available. Beyond those basics, they have a really nice menu and our food was simply scrumptious. This is not a fancy place to eat, but it is really enjoyable. This restaurant is not close to me, but I will look forward to returning at a later dater. Check their schedule it changes somewhat week to week. The food is good.. I've never had a bad meal, and the portions are a nice size...They do have drink specials... Some of my favorite appetizers are their WINGS, they are large in size, and have great flavor.. The NACHOS GRANDE are enough to share for several people. Get the LARGE if your sharing you can add beef for a few dollars more.... The GINGER CHICKEN POTSTICKERS- are wrapped in oriental pastry,pan fried and served on a bed of sesame mustard sauce. They are tasty. They serve nice big salads..My two favorites THE FIESTA CHICKEN SALAD - mixed greens in a white balsamic vinaigrette,topped with corn salsa, sliced avocado,tortilla strips, and cajun fried chicken.THE MESCLUN CHICKEN SALAD- spring mix tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette, sliced almonds, roasted red peppers, topped with grilled chicken and warm goat cheese..... For a dollar more you can order sweet potato fries.The coleslaw is very creamy..I'm usually very full so I haven't yet tried any of Riley and Jakes desserts... The staff here is very friendly and accommodating, especially outside on the patio..When I've been here the manager is always walking around checking to make sure everyone is happy. ..You can bring your kids. They have a KIDS MENU, all the typical choices for children. MAC N CHEESE, MINI HAMBURGERS, CHEESEBURGERS, HOT DOGS,CHICKEN FINGERS AND MOZZARELLA STICKS COMB, either served with fries or applesauce.... I do prefer to be outside on the patio.. There are long benches and tables with umbrellas and chairs. The outside bar is long with flat screens and high tops all around..Inside is a little too dark for me especially the ladies room.. I definitely think new lights would be in order...They have dining inside too.. This is my favorite place to come see a band and eat good food.. There is a nice size parking lot and when that's full you can park on the grass or next door, and cut through the path.. Smoking is allowed outside but not on the patio.. Near the band is a grassy knoll area...Kids love to run around in the grass next to the parking lot.. I would give them 5 stars but they need to brighten up the ladies room... I will follow the trend of a previous review I saw and say I eat here all the time. If I didn't enjoy the menu or the atmosphere I would go else where. The food is awesome to say the least. From wings to burgers to pasta you cannot go wrong. I will have to say the Pretzel Burger is my honest favorite. However, I've gotten the ribs and other specials and they were worth straying from the usual. If you are looking for a restaurant with friendly staff, a diverse menu and a decent beer selection try this place out. Ohhh not to mention they have a great outdoor patio that is like an oasis! I had high hopes for Riley & Jake's this evening but left rather annoyed and unwelcomed. Don't get me wrong, I thought the food was good and thoroughly enjoyed their mozzarella sticks, however, our waitress left a bad taste in our mouth the whole way home. My girlfriend and I were placed in a room with four other groups. Two of the groups were large (4+ people) and one of the groups were a couple on what looked to be a date but they had stopped eating. Our waitress asked if we would like something to drink, brought us water and took our order for an appetizer. After a couple of minutes we decided we would like to try one of their drinks. We stopped the waitress who had walked by and she seemed a bit annoyed when we asked her but I didn't think much of it. After about 5-10 minutes our drink arrived with our appetizer arriving shortly before that. Later, our meal arrived and the waitress asked if we needed anything and we both asked for ketchup. She said okay (annoyed again) and went into the kitchen. After a couple of minutes she came back out and served food to a neighboring table, looked at us, and went back into the kitchen. Over the course of 20 minutes our waitress stopped at every table to check up on them except ours. She was friendly to everyone and avoided our table at all costs, enough that my girlfriend and I looked at each other and wondered if we did something wrong. By the end of the meal our waitress had never returned. She never brought us ketchup, never asked how the food was or if we wanted more drinks. Nothing. It was so odd that we were treated differently than everyone else. Needless to say we will not be coming back. read more

Almost every time we've been there there's been at least 1 person that's completely trashed. The first time we were there, a couple came out of the restaurant and the husband stumbled across the parking lot because he couldn't keep his balance. The wings and burgers remain a favorite and oy always recommend the pretzel Burger... This visit we started with the spinach artichoke dip and the ahi tuna salad. The dip was served bubbling hot. Delicious flavors and cheesy beyond... The ahi tuna was fresh, chilled and refreshing. With peanuts mandarin oranges and a few other add ins this is a great salad. For dinner we had the chicken, goat cheese salad with spinach, craisins and goodness! But the highlight was the Mac n cheese. Recently ordered a few burgers, all had an overwhelming burnt taste, not to mention were not cooked to order (over cooked). Also, menu needs updating, they haven't changed anything in years. What a lovely family-owned spot we stumbled across today. The food, service, and ambiance were great. I had the Tuscan chicken sandwich and my mom had the pretzel burger. Jake and Riley's is located on Rt. 31 southbound side. I have had dinner and dinner here twice and was not that impressed. However, based on the fact that they are basically a bar, I would give them decent marks in regards to burgers and salads. Nothing special, but worth stopping by in for some apps and drinks. The food was DELICIOUS. The menu items are reasonably priced. The food came fast and accurate the first time. Unfortunately my fiancee and I had the displeasure of sitting behind a racist, sexist, and anti-lgbtq pair of customers. When I brought it up to the waitress she told me she was sorry to hear that it made us uncomfortable and got us out of the restaurant quickly. I also got the impression from the waitress to keep my voice down/stop talking about my displeasure with their racist conversation because she still had to deal with the customers after I left. From the waitress perspective I understand, but I do not believe she told the manager this was happening. From my perspective this looks like staff/management condone this type of behavior from their customers. Racism, sexism and anti-lgbtq behavior should never be condoned. I will not be returning to riley and jakes due to the type of people they serve. read more
