No other customers. She speaks to someone in the back. A guy pokes his head from the back looks at us shakes his head no. Then another guy peers around the door says something then shakes his head no. She says we can't do you. Just flat out we can't, not come back later were busy ( which they weren't) maybe tomorrow. Just no. Well we left and went to Pink across the street. They were super busy ( 10+) customers. But the lady was nice said I'm busy can you wait or come back. We waited. I see why Riley had 2 customers on a Friday compared to the neighbor shops. If I was you spend your money where it's appreciated. Avoid this place. read more

*Sigh* I feel bad, because Riley's has been my nail salon for a few months now and I have loved going to them. It's cheap, it looks good, and the people there are friendly. They made me justify getting my nails done every couple weeks, something I love to do but had stopped doing for a year or so because it was an expensive thing to keep up with. Well, I guess you get what you pay for. I finally had to take my acrylic nails off today because they were just too grown out and I wasn't going to get a new set done for another few days. Unfortunately when I got to my my right thumb and index finger I saw what I'm assuming is either a form of nail fungus or Pseudomonas, a bacterial infection. I have never, ever in my life had a bacterial or fungal infection in all my years going to salons. It is obvious that there is a problem with the way they are disinfecting things here, and I was unlucky enough to get this. Now I can't get my nails done until it's gone, and who knows how long that will take. And, as you can see in the picture, my nails are TERRIBLE from the acrylic (Not their fault, just sad I'm going to have ugly, painful nails for a month at the very least). Nothing against anyone who works there. But please, please sanitize your utensils! I cannot recommend that anybody try this place now. The cheap manicures are not worth an infected nail. Had a wonderful experience tonight at RIley's Nail salon. I highly recommend this sweet nail salon. This was my first time going here and I brought my grandma here as well. I read the Yelp reviews and looked at photos and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did!. The customer care is extraordinary. In the couple hours we spend there getting our nails done we experienced such kindness and quality service. My grandma is 90 and has delicate feet as well as arthritis. Often times it is painful for her to get her nails done but on this occasion the lady who did her nails was so caring and sensitive that my grandma relaxed and was not in pain because of rough treatment. I watched the girl carefully treat my grandma's feet with softness and ease like if it was her own grandma. I can not appreciate that enough. My own nails came out lovely. I enjoyed very much the fact that I did not feel rushed here. Yes, they had several customers but they took there time with my feet to ensure me the best service possible. I got gel hands with ombré sparkles and the beautiful big apple color. Perfect for Christmas! Another thing I truly appreciated was the fact that they did not have an annoying T.V. Playing like most nail salons. Instead , this nail salon had relaxing and easy going music on there t.v. Which made the atmosphere so much better. They were willing to fit us in on such a short notice and were super nice and accommodating even when they were so busy! We received manis, pedis and one of my friends even received a full set. I do not recommend this place at all. I'm new in town so I took to Yelp for gel manicure advice. I decided to give this place a call. I called to ask if they provide matte gel manicures and they said yes so I booked an appointment and headed over. After choosing my color I sat down with the tech and told her I'd like this color in a matte finish. She was instantly confused and turned to her coworkers to ask if they did this. They all agreed so we continued. For a gel manicure, my tech back home never used a drill. She used a nail file and buffer to hand file the nails in preparation for the gel. This tech went full on with the drill and really damaged my nails. When she did the polish, the finish was not matte at all either. My nails are still healing 2 months later.... read more

I said listening is an essential skill! She proceeded to be rude. When she was done she just stood up and walked away.. I paid $40 for shit job. I tipped because she did a service but do not go here! Heed my warning. It was dirty inside. She turned away multiple customers because she said they were full no one was even in there! Nice Place, Menu Should Be More Flexible... I came in with already great toenails since I like to do my own every Sunday as part of my Sunday ritual. I however wanted to get the pedicure to remove foot calluses so I saw the reviews and it is only $20 so in I went. I got in and found out it is $30 for the Luxury Pedicure if you want the callus removal. normal they do your nails and I felt it would have made sense to not charge me full price for half the job... But I agreed and sat in the chair. The lady did a decent job for the most part, but I realized when I got home there was still good deal of callus left on my foot bottoms.... Kind of a bummer after paying $30 to get that taken care of... All in all the parking lot is under construction and I didn't really get what I came for so I will give them an OK rating, but not a great one. read more

I have been to about 10 nail salons since moving to Phoenix. From Queen Creek to Tempe I have been so disappointed with the quality of nail techs here, BUT not here at Riley's. It had been quite a while since I had walked out of the nail salon truly happy with my set. The older gentleman that did my set was amazing. From my shape to the overlay being just thin enough to look real, it was all an amazing experience. I suggest you make an appointment if you can because they are busy. They do have regulars that they take in usually by appointment so I saw some people get upset because they did not have time for them when they walked in. They took about 3 walk ins during my visit and although it might look like someone is not doing something in the back usually they are waiting for appointments to come in, so just be understanding. Can't wait to go back. They also have the best prices in the valley! I got a fill and gel set plus the luxury pedicure. Very nice and professional people I didn't feel at all pressured to make small talk just went and enjoyed my me time. read more

I have been coming to Riley's for about 6 months now and I am always satisfied. I have recommended Riley's to numerous friends and family, and they agree! Prices are cheap and the quality is great! Now my last visit I tried a new powder dip they offer, rather than gel. (However, same price.) This dip powder is all NATURAL! There is a Vitamin E and Calcium serum that is a base coat for your nails. Then another serum is used a coat, after that your nail is dipped in the powder of the color of your choosing, and boom DRY! It is a few re applied coats and dips but believe when I say it is great! Plus, there is no UV light used for this process. So it is much healthier for your nails! Since I've got them done I have got tons of compliments on my nails and I am so happy with them! If you are not at Riley's, you are really missing out! read more

I made an appointment here for my friend and I to get pedicures 2 weeks ago. The appointment was originally for last Saturday. I had to reschedule for this Saturday (today) and called them to do so. Today, my friend and I walk in and tell the owner (I imagine he was) that we are here for an appointment for Vanessa. He is already becoming very irritated because he can't hear me very well since we are all wearing masks. He starts flipping through the appointment book and he couldn't find me for today. He goes back to last Saturday, and says my appointment was last weekend (he was extremely rude about this for the record). I let him know that I had rescheduled. He asked me who I spoke to... as if I got the person's name? Clearly, whoever answered my call for rescheduling didn't switch me in the appointment book. And that most certainly doesn't warrant the owner to be a total jerk for the mistakes of his employees. I was a new client to this place because of the reviews on yelp but I am afraid to say that yelp dropped the ball on this one. VERY RUDE OWNER! Beware! We walked out to go down the road to Polish Me Pretty Nail Bar. Much nicer relative to their employees and salon layout. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

I have been going here for a long time. I noticed that there are a lot of mixed reviews showing up lately. First off, I can say they are very good, clean and friendly. They have always taken care of my needs with great results. Lee has been doing nails for over 30 years. She, her husband and the rest of the staff have been nothing but the best. There are a few people giving negitive reviews for Riley's not doing a certain style of nails. I don't quite understand this since they didn't claim they did do a certain style and take anyone's money for the request service. They just advise you they don't provide that service and allowed people to go somewhere else. If someone is dissatisfied with the work, as in business in the beauty industry, the customer needs to tell the technician at the point of service so it can be corrected. As for chiping and pedaling of polish, they have a seven day fix policy with receipt. We all live our lives differently and this has an effect on the longevity of our nail services. I take a lot of baths so I need to stay on top of my manicures or I'll break a nail. That isn't anyone's fault at Riley's. I like Riley's and will continue to use them. read more
