Oh my f...ckin God... best pizza EVER! The crust is fluffy and crisp. The perfect amount of crust to toppings. I HIGHLY recommend sitting in and having this pizza when it comes straight out the oven. Don't phone in your order! The customer service stinks, and 8 times out of 10, they have "lost" my order or have "forgotten" to write it down. The pizza is still the same (thank God), but I know this. If they trained these young, tattooed, pierced up girls better, they would have more people than the drunk locals ordering and buying their stuff. read more

I haven't had this place in over 10 years and if anything, I think it's gotten better than what I last remembered!! The pizza was sooooo bomb and my favorite part for sure was the crust only because the dough actually had great flavor and that's hard to find. The wings were also great! They were a good size and flavored really well. I will definitely be coming back. The people who helped us out were really sweet and I really enjoyed everything about this place! read more

Tried this place since I was in the area. It was subpar. The wings were over-cooked / dry and the pizza was not as good as I thought. I could've gotten away with Papa John's if I knew it was gonna be okay. Service was basic too - seemed like they were just there to take your order and call it a day. Plus I expected the place to be cleaner, but it just looked grimy. read more

So my family and I have a habit of coming to this place every single time after practice after a game for our kids, softball baseball practices and games. They've really updated the location and the place over the last couple years but the flavor still the same and I deeply deeply appreciate the home feeling that you get when you walk in there. It is a Mom and Pop location. They are in busy shopping center. we always get the Lush specials. We always get a double pepperoni and a supreme pizza with wings the wings have a great flavor cooked well and overall great atmosphere. Definitely would recommend here for a quick slice . read more

Over all I'm very happy with the quality of Rio's pizza, and this is my favorite place to grab pizza in montebello.... but as of lately, I feel like they've been skimping on the cheese. The toppings are always great, but the cheese just isn't anywhere close was it use to be, so minus 1-star. But they definitely earned that star back in my eyes with all of their safety/covid precautions. They are super careful when it comes to making sure their customers are getting great service while still abiding by county guidelines. I'm sure it's not easy to work with all of those bed procedures in place, so awesome job Rios! read more

Rios pizza use to be the spot the quality and the prices have gone downhill well the quality went downhill they can't cut the pizza all the way through and the large doesn't fit the pan they give you...as for the price it didn't go downhill the price went uphill pretty sure the owner is cool with that remark but this is my judgement you be the judge of it read more

This place has been a staple pizza parlor for Montebello and it never disappoints. Last night I ordered a pizza with two meat toppings and it was fantastic. My favorite pizza spot. This has been a pizza place that my family always frequents. I brought home pizza and wings for my boyfriend one time and now he's hooked. I usually order by phone beforehand and the pizza is always ready by the time they estimate it'll be done. I usually show up a little earlier in case there's a line. I appreciate their attentiveness to sanitizing and being precautious during the pandemic. They are on top of and seem to have true care for their employees and customers. read more

First time ever being here. Service and employees were nice. The place was full of what looked like a baseball team and their families. Oh my god. Horrible. I got stared at like if I was intruding the whole time. Everyone was getting drunk and being belligerent and loud. I chose to dine in with a friend and it was a terrible mistake. There was only a couple of tables available and when we chose one to sit at, a man eating there told us the table was reserved as a joke. Why even say that? After waiting around in that circus we just asked to take the food to go instead. Women coming in here to order food kept getting stared down by the men eating there. So disgusting. This place is like a bar more than a family restaurant I give the pizza a 6/10 and the wings a 4/10 I'm never gonna come back but I'm sure they don't need me as a customer . It looks like they got their rowdy, and obnoxious recurring customers already. read more

Came in late Friday night to order the heart shaped pizza. When we ordered they said they were no longer making them and they were out for the day but after a few minutes they made an exception for us. We ordered a pizza and the garlic cheese bread. We got our pizza and I was really disappointed by it, the cheese felt stale and hard, the pizza seemed to pack sauce, and when pulling a slice away the cheese would just separate from the crust leaving you with a sauceless piece of bread. Didn't enjoy the pizza, the atmosphere seemed cool. read more

The pizza was delicious. I added sausage the their Supreme style pizza. They put loads of spicy Italian sausage which I love. The dough is really good too. The wings were not too good though, they were dry and burnt, so I was disappointed with the wings. The wings were dry too. read more

I can not stop thinking about this place. My family and I were in the area and decided to stop here. It's nostalgic for us because my mother in law worked at Rio's when she was a teenager! This was my first time at Rio's Pizza and it was amazing!!! Our server was very nice and attentive. We got a salad, spaghetti , garlic bread and pizza. That was the best salad I have had in a while. Rio's has long been a go to spot for as long as I can remember. Not only is it close to home, but honestly some of the best pizza around if you are in this area. For the last 30 years plus, Rio's has been serving a fantastic pizza that is worth a detour if you ask me. The pizza is rich with flavor and character. The sauce is not too heavy nor too light, toppings are dispersed evenly, and the crust, neither too chewy or soft, provides that authentic homemade vibe that rounds up everything together just nicely. Mushroom & Pepperoni is my go to, but there are other toppings available to choose from as well. If you are in the mood to try other things on the menu, I would definitely recommend the Antipasto Salad and mild wings to complete an epic meal! read more

I love pizza and this place has really good pizza. We usually order food to go but once in awhile eat there (it's a small place) not a lot of seating. Petrillo's Specialty Pizza is stacked with generous toppings and has a doughy but crispy bottom - the best of both worlds. I enjoyed the Specialty pizza, especially the Italian sausage. While I'm not a mushroom fan, I ate them anyway. I'll likely hold off on mushrooms next time. They provide generous amounts of complimentary crushed red pepper packets, paper plates, and napkins. Parmesan cheese packets cost extra, about $0.50 each, if I remember correctly. The staff were friendly and are local residents, which is always great to see in a mom-and-pop business. You can eat in or order from the take-out counter on the right side. It's best to order ahead to avoid a 20-25 minute wait. My only minor complaint was the pizza was a bit sloppy when I took a picture, but I understand they're busy getting orders out. I will definitely be back to Petrillo's for pizza!

We were greeted by the host and waited about 2-3 minutes to be seated. There were around 4 or 5 tables that were already seated and/or eating. Setting: typical western restaurant with booths and tables. Quite dark inside. We were sat at a booth but the seats had a bunch of residual bread crumbs on them. We had to ask a waiter/busboy to clean off the seats for us. Food: This restaurant is known for their pizza so we ordered their signature pizza to share. We also ordered the fried zucchini appetizer and the spaghetti bolognese which came with a side (Minestrone soup) There was complimentary bread and butter for the table - it was soft and fluffy on the inside and had a nice crust. But it came out cold. Would have been better if it was warmed up. Fried zucchini: well breaded, came with ranch. Portion size was ok, not too big but not too little either. But quite expensive at $11 for an appetizer that did not WOW the table. Minestrone Soup: average, quite salty, given it is early in the evening, the soup should not be this salty whereas the end of the day usually means the soup has been reduced and concentrated by warming/simmering. Spaghetti Bolognese: plenty of meat in the sauce and pretty tasty as well; but the biggest flaw was that the spaghetti was way overcooked. Huge negative for an Italian restaurant - the base/pasta of your dishes should be perfect and this was far from Al dente. Petrillo Signature Pizza: loaded with toppings, they did not cheap out with the toppings and pretty tasty as well; however, another big flaw was that the dough was dry and dense - the dough did not rise. The yeast in the dough was either non-existent or was not given enough time to rise and create the fluffy dough and crust texture of a typical pizza. We basically got dense flatbread. As this was the signature pizza, it was quite disappointing. Service: Average, nothing great. The servers came by a couple times only after the food came out. Could have really stopped by a couple more time to check in. Rating: 2 stars Review summary is based on mainly food quality as the quality of the food, attention to detail, and execution all was very subpar. Given the kitchen was not super busy on a Saturday evening, the poor quality leaves much to desire.
