The Triple B burger is heavenly, not too overpowered by the blu cheese, and the blueberry preserves added a nice touch to an otherwise savory dish. One of my fav places for several reasons. 1. It is near my home. 2. Fresh food. Literally like purchased that day made that moment food. 3. I can go in the afternoon have a glass of wine or champagne. The bartender is super nice. Has a patio with fans and really nice for an afternoon cocktail. I think this is a great casual dinner place with outstanding food. Or business lunch. Try it on a Thursday afternoon when it is pretty outside. They do a good job of trying to separate the patio area from the parking lot. Oh yeah parking is the downside. This shopping center is crazy busy. Spaces can be hard to find. Side not for moms. Bathrooms are clean but forgot to check the diaper changing table. But hey with clean bathrooms that is a lot to say. We bring he kids sometimes and sit outside. The inside feels a little to shit in with the kids. It is fine without them but paying for a meal is cheaper than a babysitter these days. read more

My cordón blue sandwich was so salty I could barely eat it. I told my server and he offered to replace it but I did not want to wait any longer. My server came back a minute later to tell me there wouldn't be a charge for my sandwich which was a good gesture. A few minutes later he came back and offered a chocolate cake also, just to smooth out the taste from my sandwich he claimed. My wife accepted the cake, then when the bill came we learned that they had not removed my $13 sandwich from the bill because the chocolate cake was the gift. So three things, I think my server lied, I had part of a poor meal and my wife got a $13 piece of chocolate cake. This was a bad experience, not sure when I will go back again. read more

My wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner and we decided to stop by Ripe. Let me tell you we were very happy with our decision. As soon as we were walking into the restaurant we were welcomed by Cortez that ended up to be our waiter for the night and we couldn't be happier, he was very attentive and knew the food (lots of places their staff don't know the food or have tried it before ) he was able to provide recommendations and details on the plates to make our ordering easier. When we got our food it was not only presented with care but you could see that high quality ingredients were used to prepare these plates. The food was outstanding and it was matched by the great service. We can't wait to go back again and try the weekend brunch recommended by Cortez. I was really impressed by the attention to detail on staff selection, training and the quality of food we got, the customer experience was excellent. So glad to have discovered this restaurant. So, I've been to Ripe several times, great food hands down. Reason, I will only give 2 stars is that the service SUCKS during lunch time. More then often the waiter would ignore me, It took them more the 10 minutes for them to get my order and then more then 15 minutes to get a sandwich and soup to my table. It's not that hard slap a sandwich together. Happy with the food, unhappy with the sucky service! P.S. Came here for Weekend brunch. The food was amazing and everything was flavored to perfection with fresh ingredients. I dinged a star because it took almost an hour from the time we were seated to the time we got our food. We just sat there watching other tables that were seated after us get their food and finish. Pro: - Easy menu with great-sounding ingredients - My omelet (and my partner's main dish) was hot and tasted good overall - Food came out quickly - Upbeat ambiance/Modern decor Con: - The sides, both black beans & potatoes were room temperature, barely warm - Service was subpar. Once seated, we waited nearly ten minutes and finally went to ask if we could receive service. Our server seemed nice but interacted with us only to take our order, bring us our food and requested condiment, and give us our check. About mid-way through our meal our glasses sat empty and stayed that way. Not that we needed special attention but seeing our server interact frequently with a neighboring table (like refills!) just made it feel like we had been written off from the beginning. Located in a small plaza parking may be limited. I think what I liked the most here was that you actually get a descent piece of meat with your salads and not your typical chicken stripes. Other entrees included Po boy sandwich, a hit, tuna melt, a hit, pasta with pesto arugula sauce, somewhat of a hit, and a special chicken sandwich, a hit! Most of the entrees came with shoestring fries which were cooked perfectly. All in all, much props to the food choices we enjoyed. I was a little bummed that they didn't offer the dinner menu until 430p, we arrived around 345ish. I think there should be an option of ordering a dinner menu at after 3. The service we received almost discourages me from ever coming back(but I will). Eh, not really worth the time... I like the trendiness, and love the beer selection, but the service!! The food was decent, club prices for the drinks (5 bucks a bottle for most beers and 3 bucks for a water!!). Unfortunately I get the impression that the place thinks a lot of themselves, at least the wait staff does. We were greeted by a loud lispy guy who sat us quickly, but then rattled off the special at the ceiling. He actually spit on me while talking. So, gross, but I let it slide. Then the waitress. Omg the waitress. For most of the service she ignored us, and never once refilled our drinks or asked us how he food was. Mostly she just sauntered here and there, talking to other wait staff, flirting with the cooks. We had to beg her to give us our check so we could leave! So frustrating. All in all the food was ok, but certainly not good enough for me to crave it and under no circumstances was worth even half the amount charged. The reduction in stars is mostly for the price vs quality ratio. For the prices they charged us we should be eating somewhere much fancier. Wait staff you can easily change, menus are harder. Of course I already knew Ripe was an El Paso gem, but we went there for Brunch for the first time today and I was VERY happy! The menu was impressive, with plenty of options (omelets and scrambles, benedicts, griddle options, etc) to cover whatever you are craving. They also have multiple flavors of mimosas (enter swoon here:) Everything we had was delicious, from the biscuits you are served when you sit down, to the heavenly blueberry-ricotta pancakes, to the Farmers scramble, Monte Cristo sandwich and beyond! I now think this is the best breakfast option in El Paso, and always the nicest staff in town. We can't wait to go back! Get there early, they start packing them in right at 9am...enjoy! read more

Ripe is a very special place on the Westside because of their changing menu. They usually change it every so often and add new and creative items like the shrimp po boy. Not only that but they are always coming up with new vegetarian/vegan menu options that you can't get anywhere else. Usually as a vegetarian you are stuck eating a salad or a mushroom burger but Ripe comes up with more complex items like a vegetarian chili bowl with cornbread. I have to say it is just as good if not better than a real chili bowl. Their wine menu is really great and they have an even better desert menu that will make you fall in love with sugar all over again. The service is always great and the servers always make conversation with you. They are very knowledgable on their menu and are always open to substitutions. They are very attentive and that always leaves me wanting to come back. My favorite menu item right now is the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes but all the burgers are really good and the vegetarian options are all amazing. You will try food here you have never tried before. read more

Went for Sunday brunch on 7/20. I was thinking that it would be a pre-fix menu for brunch, but everything was a-la-carte and a little on the pricy end. However, I will pay more for quality. They didn't disappoint in the quality arena. You can appreciate the freshness of their ingredients and the service was wonderful. I ordered the brisket egg benedict plate. Delicious! The only complaint I have about that particular meal is that it's served with bread at the base, which got VERY soggy after the moist brisket and hollandaise sauce. I highly recommend that if they change anything, maybe serve it over very crisp potatoes, like a potato galette or hash.We don't eat pork and they don't offer a turkey or chicken substitute for the pork sausage offered with most of their brunch plates. They did however offer a veggie sausage, which was surprisingly VERY good, I'd even dare to say better than some chicken sausage options I've tried (So Vegetarians, don't be afraid to eat here). This little place has come along way. It has a cute atmosphere and some good eats. It doesn't boast a huge menu but that adds to the quaint atmosphere. The favorite sandwich of mine would be the turkey and pesto and if you ask for chalula on the side the sandwich its perfect. Had a lovely celebratory dinner on a Saturday. Sat outside with jazz combo playing. All of our dinners were excellent, especially the sauces. One of us was a vegetarian and there were a number of good choices for her as well. We had the fried chicken, one of the burgers, and a special ravioli.
