Loved this brunch spot! The serve a honey wheat biscuit prior to your meal which was really good. I have a child who truly is driven by biscuits and pretty much worships every flaky layer, so she felt like they were hand-delivered by some kind of Hipster biscuit fairy. The meal was very good too! It took us forever to order because there were so many good options. Plenty available for those who don't do beef/pork. Really enjoyed brunch here! The mimosa seemed expensive at first, but it ended up being pretty large and delicious! Terrible service. I'd be able to understand the lack of service if they were short staffed or if it was super busy but neither was the case. Server took forever to bring drinks.... Gave us enough time to know what we wanted to order. As we were ready to order the server stated she'd be back because she had to go check on a different table first. Well then..... You go do your thing while we wait..... Again...... Now finally after such a long wait, we got our plates. My brisket ranchero was delicious until I got to the center.... It was super salty so I ended up sending it back... I felt bad because I had already made my way to the center... Second time was great. I'm guessing it was the hollandaise that was salty because second time they put it on the side. My buddy ordered caprese Benny and it was top notch. Very delicious. Well Ripe lived up to the hype (yay for rhymes). I went in at 130 on a Sunday. So it was still packed. They were able to find me a seat outside. The heat kinda hurt the overall experience but I can't fault the restaurant for that. Although I can a little, more on that later. Waiter took my drink order pretty quickly but it took about 12 mins to get my mimosa. It was a tasty mimosa although I would say its more OJ than champagne. I only ordered the one. Took a while for the waiter to come back to get my order (but again, it was packed in the restaurant, inside and out). I ordered the sausage biscuit and gravy. Food came pretty quickly. The meal was delicious. A very unique way of making what's usually a pretty generic dish. Crispy sausage on crisp bread with over easy eggs on top. Very unique white sauce. Food filled me up without making me grossly full. Nice side of fresh fruit. All in all the food was amazing and every plate I saw go by me looked equally amazing. So about that the heat comment. I was sitting at one of the side table near the fence and getting blasted by the sun. I found myself thinking wow this would be so much nicer if they had misters. When my food came, most of the outside tables had cleared so I asked to move into one of the shaded tables which they permitted me to do. 2 minutes later a manager came out and asked if we wanted the misters turned on. The table next to me just looked at me and laughed. You'd think the misters would have been on the whole time. Shrug. My friend and I came on a Sunday morning and I ordered the traditional eggs benedict and she had the salmon Benedict. She said hers was good but I was disappointed with mine. It was very Bland and only had a very small piece of ham on it. The English muffin was very thick and almost spongy. It was almost the consistency of cake. The raspberry limeade was delicious though. This is a great place for breakfast or salad or a burger. I love that you can order on-line and pick up at their drive-through. They also have outside dining options. I have a soy/soybean allergy and they have been very helpful in this regard. I also like that their website has an email where you can email the staff/owner with any concerns or questions. When I arrived, a waiter was taking orders from one of the patio tables and turned to enter the restaurant the same time I walked up. Not only did he cut me off to get to the door first, he let it shut in my face. Hmm. Great menu, but I'm doing low carb right now so I ordered the Caesar salad with salmon. My waiter was very pleasant, attentive. But my salmon was uncooked in the center. My waiter (not the same one who let the door shut in my face) handled the situation perfectly - and that's why I didn't give Ripe a lower score. read more

Went here for brunch on a Sunday morning. Great service and delicious fresh food. Recommend trying the black cherry mimosa for a change from the standard OJ. The food was very good, probably great. I really don't like being picky at restaurants and just want to enjoy the company and experience. However, the medium well burger came out pink. I cut it first but thought maybe it was the lighting. I then took a bite or twould and asked my wife, debating sending it back. She said it was definitely a little raw. They took it back, but rather than bringing me another burger that was cooked fully and correctly, they brought the same burger back on the same bun. Aside from health and safety practices, which I would imagine say you're not supposed to take partially eaten food off of people's plates and bring them back into the kitchen, it was unappetizing to find raw meat on the bottom of the bun when it was served again. The manager came over when he saw I was not eating and said they would take it off the bill and took the plate. That was good. Honestly though, we had been there for an hour + and I didn't get a full meal. So props for taking it off our bill, but perfect service would be to then bring something out to ensure the cutsomer walks away not hungry. Good food tho! The bites I did take were amazing and the fries were very good shoestring fries and the portion of my burger that my wife ate was good. read more

This is the second time for big disappointment. A couple of months ago I came for dinner. Ordered the salmon pasta and it didnt taste good and looked more like leftovers you eat at home. Today I was tired after a long day at worked and wanted to treat myself and my kid to dinner. They somehow thought I was not there. I saw waiters passing by and nobody came to offer menus or water. I had to go back inside and inquire if there was something wrong bc nobody had come by. The guy at the reception apologized and got our drinks. I ordered a glass of wine bc of happy hour and they didnt honor the price when I got the check. I tried to make eye contact to the waiter but nothing. I was tired so I paid and left. My husband had Triple B and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in El Paso. Even though it's located in a small strip mall, once you walk inside, the decor and overall ambiance draws you in to a warm and relaxing experience. Granted, I've only been there for dinner - so I can't say what the feel is like during the day. Their selection of wine is commendable and the live music is an added bonus to a wonderful date night. It's small, but spacious. I've been there and experienced a wonderfully private romantic dinner and didn't realize there was a small party with kids at the table next to us. The food is great and the attention to detail and presentation is outstanding. The Surf & Turf is my personal favorite. It's well presented, well prepared, stake and shrimp dish. The flavor is amazing and it pairs well with their Pinot Noir! The Caprese Burger is also a great meal. The kobe beef with roasted tomato is always well prepared...never over cooked! We tried Ripe for the first time last night. I had been told that it was a very good restaurant in our neighborhood. My wife truly enjoyed her Portabella Mushrooms "Rockefeller", and it was nice. I had the Pistachio Pesto Pasta with grilled shrimp, and the alliteration was its most interesting quality. The shrimp had an off taste, but the real problem was that the rest of the dish was way too over done. Along with the linguine, there were grape tomatoes, zucchini, artichoke hearts, and chick peas. The pesto was unbalanced as well, and really didn't need the mint. We are going to go again, but I hope they have more variety. They appear to only add one entree per month. read more

Brunch is amazing! We only waited 5 minutes. I had the vaquero breakfast stack, husband had Eggs Benedict, and our little guy had eggs, breakfast potatoes and sausage (excellent portion). Prior to your meal you receive delicious biscuits and marmalde. We had to ask for these as well as our drinks which is the only reason I'm not giving ripe 5 stars. I've never had a bad meal here. The service is attentive, and the quality of the ingredients is worthy of the prices. The salads are huge, so I often can't finish them. Thursday. A couple years ago my wife and I tried to go completely vegetarian. I was too hard a change so we decided to go vegetarian thrice weekly. After a while it got very routine and boring so we dropped it down to once a week. Thursday is our meatless day. Even that is a challenge to find a wide enough variety to keep us (me) interested. You really tire of grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Always on the look out to find something or some place different, we found Ripe. We decided to try it for a late lunch/early dinner. My assessment is that it's no great shakes. It is different and seems to have a nice variety of both vegan and vegetarian options as well as enough stuff to keep carnivores happy. My wife had the black bean burger and I had the three-cheese lemon basil ravioli. As usual, we share plates. I had a bite of the burger and can definitely say I have been there, done that. My wife seems to like those things but I haven't found one yet that I could get past a single bite. She liked it enough but didn't shout hooray. My ravioli was pretty good but the lemon was a mite too strong. It give Ripe four stars because service is good and it is unique. They have a massive wine list and plenty of bottles displayed all around. I want to return and try something I can dig my canines into. I also want to try their sister pastry/breakfast shop in the same strip mall. Three and a half stars for the food, four for the service and variety. read more

The food was AMAZING! Our server was great...with the table next to us, that wasn't even her table. They had another server. She was clearly distracted by the fact that they were from the same part of WA as her. I ordered the blueberry and ricotta pancakes with sausage, and I ended up with lemon ricotta pancakes with bacon. My oldest child ordered the monkey pancakes, and she put in the order for the blueberry pancakes...but she cancelled those before coming to the table to bring us my lemon pancakes. His pancakes came out when everyone else was 1/2 finished. If we had received half of the service that the table next to us received from her... It would have likely received a 5 star review. She asked their names, exchanged small talk with them, laughed, asked if they needed anything. She's clearly an excellent server. My partner and I were excited to try this place for a late brunch on a Sunday. When we arrived, the restaurant was very full but we luckily scored the only open table (we were very hungry). Our server took our drink menu very quickly. I was very excited to try the raspberry limeade in a frozen form. This is something I'd never heard of! My partner opted for the raspberry mimosa. After tasting my too tart frozen limeade I was wishing I'd gone for the mimosa but I was driving! Shortly after our drink order was taken, our waiter was back with some little biscuits (possibly scones) with home made jam. What a great extra to help hold us over! I ordered the banana and pecan pancakes with bacon on the side while my partner opted for the lemon ricotta with sausage on the side. We happily looked around at the colorful wall art and checked out the cool plants that were sitting by our table while we waited for our food. We did have a little bit of a wait because there was a flood of pancake orders according to our waiter. When the food did come, everything was warm and tasty looking. The pancakes looked a little too cooked but it didn't negatively influence the taste for me. I did have an issue with the bacon being too soggy for my taste. We were given 3 pancakes and I think this is too much pancake for one person to eat but I tried my best. My partner said that he was wishing he'd ordered my banana pecan pancakes because the lemon ricotta was cloyingly sweet after a while. Our waiter was polite throughout the whole dining experience but I think that other servers were checking on their tables a little more than he was checking on us. This was fine with me because I like to be mostly left alone while I eat. My partner thought that this place was a touch pricey. I think the food was very tasty with only a few personal taste issues for me (I really like that crispy bacon). I look forward to visiting this place again to try their savory dishes, perhaps for lunch or dinner. Overall, Ripe is a great place for brunch with decent service and solid food. read more

We were sat quickly since they have a lot of seating, served quickly, the staff was kind, and the music in the restaurant was good too. At the end, we were given mint chocolate to finish the meal. Have visited Ripe on numerous occasions throughout the years and each time I am as happy about their food, service and the ambiance of the restaurant as the first time I went. Love when they have had live music in the past and have also taken advantage of their Wine Wednesday's. Ripe has fantastic brunch, lunch and dinner menus. On my last two visits I went for brunch ordering the Two Step (2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon) the first time and the farmers scramble the second. Both meals were cooked to perfection and served with the most tastiest potatoes with garlic and black beans.
