After a long grind of a work week in the Florida Panhandle, I rolled into Pensacola International Airport running on fumes, deadlines, and pure hunger. Let me tell you this airport is cozy. And by cozy, I mean you blink and you've seen all 11 terminals. It's so small if you miss your gate, you can probably still hear them calling your name from the parking lot. Naturally, I "ran into" Beach House... mainly because it's the only place to run into. But thank God it was there. I ordered the bowl and the wings, and listen I was hungrier than a hostage. That food didn't just hit the spot, it tackled it. The wings were on point, crispy and sauced like they meant business. The bowl? Cleaned it like it owed me money. After a week of work, that meal felt like PTO for my taste buds. Now let's talk about Kourtney. Airport service can sometimes feel like, "Here's your food, good luck in life." But not Kourtney. She delivered the kind of service you don't expect in an airport especially when most customers are one-and-done travelers she may never see again. She was friendly, attentive, and on it. Absolute pro. If airport hospitality had a Hall of Fame, she's first ballot. I know I'll be back working the Panhandle again, and when I do, I'm pulling up to Beach House before I even check my gate. For now 100% recommend. Small airport, big flavor, and service that actually makes you smile before getting crammed into seat 23B. read more

There aren't many options to choose from at the Pensacola Airport on a Sunday so we stopped at the pensacola Beach House and for the most part I was shocked how good the food was for an airport. I ordered the chips in queso and the shrimp rice bowl. The chips were slightly stale, but still edible. The shrimp rice bowl came with a nice amount of shrimp and plenty of rice. I got the sauces on the side just in case they weren't good. I was shocked how good the food was. The only thing I didn't think was that good was the key lime pie. One of 3 places to eat in here. Sat by the backside of the bar by the tarmac at a half booth. Grabbed a bird on the beach with a side of sweet potato tots and an island chicken salad. The salad is meh, quite bland and boring. Lettuce has some rotten bits. Chicken looks like it was grilled on a griddle, same as the chicken breast on the bird on the beach. Had the Poboy sandwich. Poboys are served on a hoagie roll. This was six small shrimp on a hotdog bun. I get it that this is Airport food, and it is expensive in comparison to a regular restaurant, but I travel a lot and have had much better. Also, with Pensacola being a military town with several bases around, I would expect them to have a military discount. The Pensacola Beach House has a good staff that is attentive and friendly. The restaurant is laidback and casual in an open space. For my breakfast I had the breakfast burrito with bacon. This was a standard breakfast burrito. There was nothing special about it and nothing seriously wrong with it. The eggs were cooked thoroughly but not seasoned and there was plenty of bacon for every bite. It came with salsa and sour cream. I started with coffee to drink as they can't serve alcohol until 6am. The coffee was hot and was flavorful. At 6, I had a mimosa. The proportions were perfect, and the juice was fresh. read more

$13.99 for a Beach House Burger. This was a regular cheeseburger minus the tomato and onion. The burger does not come with a side so I added onion rings for $1.99. I don't normally complain about prices, but for $15.98 I expected the meal to have more flavor. I will say that as far as presentation goes the burger and onion rings looked delicious. They just didn't impress as the meal truly lacked seasoning. The one big save was the service. I wish that I could locate the receipt so that I could give the waitress a shout out. We came here when our flight got delayed and I'm so glad we did. The prices were very reasonable for an airport, and very reasonable for mahi/tuna. The place was pretty packed but the service was still pretty speedy. If I had to complain about something it would be the size of the tacos, but the salad was quite plentiful. read more

No real surprise here. PBH is slightly upscale airport food. They serve shrimp Po'boys, mahi mahi tacos, and several other seafood options which is not usually the case for your average airport restaurant. They even have signature cocktails like an Old Fashioned and a Hemingway Daiquiri. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich with Onion Rings and Helen just got a pretzel with beer cheese. The pretzels are deep fried here and come out pretty dark but the center is still chewy. I like a good chewy soft pretzel and I was afraid it was going to be crispy but it wasn't. The beer cheese is basically standard liquid cheese in a can like what you get on your nachos at a ballpark. Meh... The Cuban is made properly and was pretty good. It was a close approximation, but I've eaten them in Ybor City in Tampa where it was invented. This was not the Columbia Restaurant. Like I said. No real surprises here. The only sit down restaurant inside the Pensacola International Airport. Their food is good and reasonably priced for being an Airport! I have eaten there multiple times since last year! If you're looking for food in the Pensacola airport, I felt that this place or chick-fil-a were the only real food options. I somewhat wish I had just gone with chick-fil-a. When I went today while I had a 4 hour layover, I ended up choosing this place to kill some time. After I've ordered drinks and was ordering food, my waitress notified me that they had run out of all chicken and ahi tuna and other items, and that they essentially only had burgers and grilled shrimp left. I felt that they could've told me this earlier before I had been waiting for my order to be taken. I even heard other customers make the same remark, especially considering a significant portion of their menu was gone. I went with the grilled shrimp along with the shrimp which was surprisingly good but not completely filling. The shrimp wasn't dry and was particularly pretty fresh. Even though I had waiting a notable amount of time to get my order ready, my waitress brought me check before I was even halfway through my food. I would say choose this place if you don't mind cost, average service, and cannot tolerate fast food. If I had to do this over again, alternative food options would be considered. read more

Having had 3 ubers cancel on bringing me to the airport and finally making it in the 4th try I arrived at Pensacola airport dying of starvation and coming to find out this airport has 3 options to eat.. Pensacola Beach House, Chick-fil-A and Einstein bagels! Pensacola beach house was the only one with great seats and liquor So I was enthusiastically greeted by Nikole and who suggested I sit in a booth near the corner (which was a life saver due to the electrical outlet near and the 2 hours I spent there). Having a stressful day Nikole came to my rescue. I had ordered the fried oysters and she suggested adding shrimp and cheese curds due to my dire hunger situation .. THE SHRIMP WAS INCREDIBLE as well as the fries and cheese curds had a nice hint of Garlic and were textured perfectly! The oysters WERE disappointing before nikole came over and advised me of a way she had eaten oysters by adding a little something something and OH MY LAWDD they had turned from blehhh to HOLY COW! She had added some lemon sauce to it and topped it with bacon and it was astoundingly delicious! The Margarita I ordered was made with Casamigos Reposado & grand marnier & sweet sour mix and let me tell you it was absolutely mouthwatering The over vibe of this place was relaxed and the ambience was mild. Great fried food with 4 Tv's, comfortable seating and great margaritas Highly recommend if you're flying through Pensacola Airport and are hungry or have time to kill to come by and request nikole for your server! Tried the Southern burger and loved the melted pimento cheese and the bacon jelly but the meat was kinda dry; but, I liked that it came with lettuce tomatoes and onion...nice burger. We had never been to Pensacola and were not impressed!!! We decided to eat at the airport, went through TSA and ate at the Pensacola Beach House. The gentleman that was behind the bar was extremely rude. Slammed our glasses on the bar and no personality at all. This is an airport, us as visitors should not have to deal with the rudeness and attitude. If you're having a bad day go home or call in, no need to be rude!!! read more
