Imagine this: you are savoring the wonderful flavors of sweet and spicy salmon, when suddenly your nose and mouth are filled with a sharp fragrance of some horribly strong cleaning chemical. It turns out the hostess had just "sanitized" the table next to us. No, I don't want desert or coffee, now. The entire experience was ruined! This is a restaurant that we really want to love because it has a nice menu and it's so close to our home. But the only thing worse than having my dining experience ruined, was the hostess's non-apology explanation that they have to sanitize the tables because of Covid. She certainly didn't have to do it at that moment! It was nearing closing time. The kitchen had been closed for 30 minutes, and there was no reason for her to be in such a hurry to "sanitize" while we ate at the next table. We were not the only people still eating, so it's not like we were holding them up from closing, and the bar stays open later. This is a restaurant with potential, but it always misses the mark. It has fine dining aspirations, but they really just don't know how. read more

Went to Risotto for the first time on Saturday night. We had their calamari as an appetizer, which I am always very picky about my calamari and it was perfect! Great portions and the dipping sauces were fantastic. I had the duck confit risotto dish as my entree and I was in heaven. Everything looked amazing on the menu and I had a hard time deciding what to get, but was so happy with what I received. My boyfriend had their special stuffed salmon and was also happy with his meal. We had two desserts after dinner and received excellent service from our waitress the entire night, even though you could tell it was very busy in the restaurant. Would recommend this place to anyone and will be going back! read more

Monday night...a deliciou,s fresh tasting dinner of glazed salmon on an interesting bed of swiss chard, thin potato and wonderful sauce. I have had dinner at Risotto three times in the past couple of years and cannot understand how this place deserves a 4.5 star rating here on Yelp. Very misleading and I hope my 2 star review, which I think is about right, helps to chip away at that. If you are looking for big portions of mediocre at best food, drink and service this is the place for you. Prices appear to be just a bit lower compared to many similar style restaurants in the area and perhaps this is the allure. Unfortunately, the value just isn't there. On this most recent visit, my wife and I decided to go for lighter fare and both of us ordered the crab cake sandwich. The crab cakes were huge but made mostly with tasteless filler. The worst part is that they had been deep fried to a crusty burnt dark brown. Burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside. I asked for more remoulade to help cover up the burnt oil taste but this didn't help much. Our friends ordered the strip steak special and one of the risotto entrees. Again, both portions were large. The steak was cooked medium as ordered but our friend said it was just ok and only managed to eat half of it. As for the risotto dish......Forget it. A small taste confirmed a valuable lesson I learned from my prior visits here. The risotto at Risotto does not qualify as risotto. They should seriously consider renaming this place. read more

Worst service ever. The food was undercooked (crunchy risotto) and oversalted (bleh). The waiter, who eventually we found out was the store manager, hardly came over to our table, never refilled our water, and took 45 minutes to even get the check. We were very unsatisfied with our meal. read more

The food was great but we sat here for ten minutes before our waitress even came over to us. Once the food came out she didn't come out once to check and see if everything was okay, didn't ask if we wanted refills we had to flag her down and didn't ask if we needed anything else before she put the check down. We had ordered bottomless mimosas and I wanted one more and she dropped the check! She hasn't even returned after dropping the check. I couldn't even tell you what her name was because she didn't introduce herself. Being in the industry it was terrible service and I will never return because of that. read more

Risotto is like a hidden gem, food is great, both for dinner and brunch, food is always fresh, quick and hot.

Dined here tonight, had high hopes as I have been here before for lunch (though it has been quite some time). Food was okay, was served fairly quickly and presented beautifully. The service, however, was not at all friendly and the one gentleman waitstaff was the only staff member who cracked a smile at us. When we were brought our check, the woman set it down and never spoke another word to us, even after she ran my credit card. No one said anything as we left. I rated this place 3 stars for the food alone, but I think that rude staff ruin the atmosphere. read more

Went for lunch on a bitterly cold day. Looked at the menu and the greens and beans soup sounded like it might hit the spot. Unfortunately it was inedible with very few greens and beans "swimming" in very salty and overly-garlicked broth. Have found this dish to be quite delicious at other restaurants so was very disappointed. Mentioned this to the waitress but she ignored my complaint.The order of pita and tzaziki tasted fine however. read more

This has been one of our favorite local spots where the food has always been consistent. We stopped going a few months ago after seeing a mouse run through the dining area on a few occasions. I always got a chuckle, as most restaurants deal with mice now and then, but the Mrs. wasn't as amused. We had the opportunity to go back recently with two other couples and give it another shot. The service was less than stellar but the food was good. I didn't eat as I arrived late but the others enjoyed their meals. I sat with them and had 3 beers, my wife 3 wines with her dinner. I didn't contest the bill when it arrived as I wasn't there for the beginning of the evening and the others were regular customers too. One of the other wives questioned the bill which was extremely high and had my wife consuming 9 wines and myself and another friend consuming 11 of the same beer - I was only there for an hour. The other beverage charges were also extremely padded. Once confronted the waitress automatically deducted $30 per couple - without trying to figure out the overage. I think she realized we were on to her. Because the checks are handwritten there seems to be a tendency to make a "mistake" or 10 when you're not looking, at least on this night. I'm assuming this may be a rogue staff member and not indicative of how the operation is heading but keep track of what you consume. After all that, my recent credit card statement shows a total that is $43 more than what I signed for. I would love to speak with the owner but considering the recent pandemic I'm sure it wouldn't make any sense. Needless to say, that will be our last time ever going to Risotto. from the service, the decor/ambiance, food-- everything was good!!! way to celebrate NYE hub and I ordered surf and turf- steak was a nice cut and was cooked well; seafood stew was a bit spicy which I love and had crab,shrimp,scallops yummmm!! and the flourless chocolate truffle was superb!!! not too sweet, not too heavy,just right!!!! well done!!!!! can't wait to go back! a bit pricey but well worth it! read more

Came here this pass Friday night with another couple for dinner. Danielle our waitress was great. She didn't hover and seemed to always appear at the perfect time (drink refills) :) I had the Seafood Punttanesca, it was excellent and had the perfect amount of spicy, I like hot food. Everyone at the table was more than happy with their meal choices and the atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. I would highly recommend this place for a romantic night out with a significant other or a group dinner which is sure to impress your friends! read more

I love this place. I get the same thing every time - their minestrone soup. It is amazing, chock full of vegetables and super cheap ($4). It also comes with a bunch of pita bread for dipping. I love risotto (the dish), and so when I saw that this restaurant had opened near me, I had to try it. Now I've started showing up once a week. The sweet chili scallop risotto is my favorite - it is seriously so good. The seafood risotto was a little salty. This place is excellent - in every sense of that word. The ambiance is calm, relaxing music, beautiful decor and superb service. And the food - well balanced, not just in terms of the different flavors but also in terms of nutrition. Portions are certainly generous. Picked up two risotto dishes on the way home from work (we do so often). Being massive risotto fans, this place is right up our alley. We love the Buffalo Chicken risotto, which is only on the lunch menu, but they'll make it for you at night in either the lunch or dinner size. read more

Just left from brunch and was possibly the worst service and experience I've ever had out to eat. Food took forever I waited literally 20 minutes for a drink and asked twice for it, first time went to the bar second time asked again as the waitress was serving another table. Food was dropped and we never saw a server again. Asked for diced pickles to be added to my meal, which didn't happen again asked twice for them. Then was brought 3 spears of disgusting pickles and was charged for them. Wasn't able to see or speak with anyone about it. Then again had to hunt someone down for a check and food that was ordered as take out. As an employee in the industry I don't know how your doors are still open. You need new management and staff. They are rude, absent and should not be the face of the business. I will never be back never recommend your place of business to anyone and you should be embarrassed at the service you provide. read more
