Il Melograno in Hell's Kitchen was incredible--honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had in the city. We started with the Polpette della Nonna Rosa (veal meatballs in grandma's tomato sauce with basil and ricotta salata) and they were so yummy. The sauce was super cozy and the bread they served with it was perfect for dipping. For our main, we both got the Ravioli di Vitello al Burro e Salvia--homemade veal ravioli in brown butter with fresh sage and toasted breadcrumbs. It was rich, buttery, and just melted in your mouth. I was obsessed and would come back to order this again. The vibe was super intimate and perfect for a date night--not loud or too crowded--and the prices were really fair for NYC. We were able to get a reservation pretty easily on a Tuesday night, which was a nice surprise considering how many great reviews this place has. Definitely a spot I'll be recommending to anyone.

Would definitely come back here. The place was busy on a Friday night and we got the last table. They take reservations. The staff were all so nice. Our waiter was the best. I explained I had allergies and I normally feel bad about it and know the place probably hates me. But he was so great and caring. My bf had the kale and potato soup which was very good. He had veal ravioli which he liked as well. I had a side of pasta with butter which was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were flavorful as well. They gave us bread and dip for the table.

Il Melograno is my partner's and my favorite restaurant to visit while in Manhattan! We randomly chose this restaurant for our first date back in 2023, we've been going almost every year since then. Overall, the entire experience is one of the best. Starting with the ambiance, the dining room is lit very nicely with warm, dim, white lights. The noise level is pretty moderately quiet, sounds of people having a good time without it being too loud and disruptive. The service is lovely! They're very personable and attentive to their customers. I dropped a utensil and before I could even pick it up there was a new one being presented to me! As for the food itself, as someone who's lived in Italy for a few months, it's very close to the real thing! Every menu item is listed in Italian, adding to the authenticity. Their Hugo Spritz is very good, better than most I've had in the US. For appetizers, I highly recommend the Burrata or Bruschette. Both a safe choice, great every time. Our favorite dish they offer is the Ravioli di Vitello al Burro e Salva. (Veal Ravioli with butter and sage) it quite literally melts in your mouth! We have not explored many of their desserts yet, but the Cannoli is very tasty! Overall, Ristorante Il Melograno is an amazing dining experience. Its location is very convenient to most theaters if you're going to see a show, especially at Lincoln Center and Radio city. I hope you enjoy it as much as myself and everyone I've brought has so far!

Comme ci, comme ca. The Maccu Siciliano was perfection. But the Pappardelle Al Ragout Di Salsiccia was way too salty, and the Ravioli Di Vitello Al Burro E Salvia tasted off, like it hadn't been seasoned properly. Service was inconsistent but mostly friendly when it did appear. Meanwhile, the decor was cozy, candlelight, date night vibes. NYC is saturated with Italian restaurants. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but you could also do worse on a weeknight.

Very good food in a busy city. We loved it and would come back, which is big since there are so many great restaurants in NYC. It felt like you were in a small town restaurant where everyone knows your name. The bruschetta was delicious. The Italian dishes that we had were delicious and I snuck peaks at other tables and will try those next. We did have an episode where we they had to call 911 due to a customers health and the restaurant handled it nicely. We made a reservation which was good since place was busy and small.

This was my first time here and what a cute little gem of a place. The beau recommended it and he wasn't wrong. Went after work for dinner and while fairly small it was busy for the early hour. We chatted with our neighbors who were off to see a show so it does draw a pre theater crowd. It's dim and cozy and we had the front corner table which I loved. The Caesar salad was fresh and above average. We shared pastas (see pics) and enjoyed them both very much. Spring for the tiramisu which was a little disappointing but you can't win them all. I don't love a tiramisu prepared in single servings but that's just me. Check it out!

Perfect! Perfect perfect! I have no complaints about this restaurant whatsoever. My wife and I came here to have a nice dinner before watching a concert at terminal 5. Which is about a 5-minute walk from this restaurant. I knew it was an Italian restaurant that made their own pasta, so of course I had to have pasta on my cheat day. I ordered the beef carpaccio for starters and it was fantastic. It came with arugula and shaved Parmesan on top. My wife got the octopus which was on some type of mashed potatoes. She loved it. I was hesitant to get ravioli because I never order it but I was so happy I did when it arrived. The flavor was fantastic. It had vegetables and a beautiful sauce that it sat in. My wife also loved her muscle dish and I finished off her cavatelli cuz she couldn't finish it. The waiter was attentive and very nice. We also got a bottle of wine for $52 and it was perfect. The manager came over to make sure the food was great and of course it was. He also was very happy to see that we both finished our plates with not one bite left. I would definitely return to this restaurant and thanks for giving us the beginning of her wonderful evening.

The pasta here is fresh and some are even made in house. The restaurant is run by a team from Italy for extra authenticity. The prices are also very reasonable. I have come here a few times, sometimes I have been blown away, other times I've thought the food was OK, I have never gone wrong with their specials of the day!

Lovely little Italian bistro with all pastas made in house. Sweet waitstaff and interesting flavors made for a delicious meal. Have the bruschetta! Buono appetito!

In town for a show and I was looking to get a little outside the theater area restaurants. What a great choice. Intimate, cozy setting. Friendly, attentive service and delicious food. I had the salmon which was cooked nicely and yes, that cauliflower purée is delicious! My friends both ordered the saffron shrimp pasta. I didn't order it because I was a little nervous it would be too heavy but it was quite light & flavorful. Will definitely return next time we're in town.

The chicken is…read morejust WOW and I am SO picky about chicken...perfectly cooked - crispy but still tender - deliciously seasoned throughout, not just on top. I got the spicy and it is low spice level - packed full of flavour, spaghetti squash is tomatoey and delicious, all the veggies I had were perfectly cooked and seasoned - I also tried the cauliflower and broccoli (not pictured) which were great. This is one of the few truly healthy takeout options that isn't packed full of salt sugar and additives - it tastes fresh, delicious and light. Though the portion looks quite small, it is actually very satisfying (and I can eat a lot) They get super busy (good for them as a small business!) so be aware of this when ordering at peak times in terms of wait time - my only complaint is, it is pricy - the steak in particular is quite a significant add-on. That being said, I paid for it twice in one day, so it is clearly worth it, but if I wasn't visiting - and this was a regular go-to - I would like to see prices a little more competitive. I love the concept of Rooted and how transparent they are with their food. Often time as a picky eater, I don't know what I'm consuming and even when I do, I feel like I have to make accommodations for less salty, oil, no butter, and the list goes on. The portions are definitely decent - I went with the 4 bounty box and was happy with it, but wouldn't mind sizing up to a 5 bounty box next time. Now to the food 1. Simply Chicken was juicy and packed with flavor - I think it's probably the garlic infused olive oil 2. The spaghetti squash (absolute favorite) - love the texture and the taste to it with the sauce, I can't recommend this enough 3. Gigante beans had good texture and felt satisfying to eat 4. Carrots were decent I can't wait to try more variations within the box options, I will be back!

The concept is similar to Chipotle, where you build your own meal by choosing a protein, grain, sauce, and toppings. I created a bowl with white rice, caramelized steak, broccoli, and pesto, and paired it with a strawberry mint lemonade. The portion size was enormous--I easily could have stretched it into three meals. Even better, the food tasted just as good as it looked. The pesto added a ton of flavor, and while I usually pair pesto with chicken, it worked surprisingly well with the caramelized steak. The strawberry mint lemonade was also refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. My only criticism is the lack of seating. There are only a handful of stools and one small table, and every seat was occupied when we visited, so we had to take our food elsewhere to eat. If they had a bit more seating, the experience would have been even better. Overall, this was a delicious, healthy meal with generous portions, and I'd gladly stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

My bowl was ready in about 5 minutes or so, was made correctly and had generous amounts of all the toppings I had picked - though the piece of salmon I got was really small and dry. Overall, not a bad place to eat lunch if you're looking for something healthy and don't mind dropping $20 on lunch. I do miss the days of watching them build my bowl so that I could've asked for a better piece of salmon.
