    Raviolini di Salmone

Delicious, delicate, yet dainty pasta, all homemade! At the suggestion of my mother, who ate here with her husband only recently, I had to try this restaurant out. It helps that the location is sublime, both geographically and logistically (only a short walk from the 42nd Street stations in Midtown, specifically Bryant Park and Times Square). I am not going to lie, the food is expensive. That is to be expected for a Midtown restaurant, literally right in the Theater District. This restaurant feels like something right out of a Broadway theater, with the high ceilings and low-hanging chandeliers. The ambiance feels like an upscale Italian restaurant, and the food reflects that ambiance. Sure, a four slice Quattro Formaggi pizza pie is skimpy, but it is outstanding in taste. All four cheeses come in beautifully, and the dough is full of flavor, though it is quite soft and chewy. Since I did not want to risk gastrointestinal contortion, I ate this at my leisure. This benefited me later when my second dish, the Salmon Ravioli, arrived. The Salmon Ravioli is as perfect a ravioli dish without the humiliation that many Italian restaurants tend to do. There are plenty on the plate to eat from, I would say 12 at least (if I cannot count them, that is a good thing). The pink sauce it is served on is light and luxurious. Adding goat cheese is the right call because it gives the dish extra balance to the already flavorful salmon. A bread basket is included with your meal. The bread is good. Do not pass on the bread. Do not fill up on it either. I walked out pleased with the overall experience, even though I may have gained a few pounds, while my wallet most certainly lost some.

What an amazing meal! This was our post Radio City Hall dinner as it's only a 10 min walk away and even closer if you are seeing a Broadway show or near Times Square. The restaurant is decked out in lights, and garlands and gives you the vibe of a real Italian restaurant celebrating the holidays. The standouts are the homemade pastas including the tagliatelle with bolognese and the raviolini di salmone, filled with goat cheese and salmon, and swimming in a deliciously creamy bed of pink cream sauce. This place is definite must hit for anyone looking for a pre or post theater meal.

Great theatre district Italian. Make a reservation. Place was full, even early. Really fast, efficient, Italian. Bread basket varied and good. Pastas were great. Loved the Caesar salad. Big fan.

If you're looking for an amazing Italian restaurant to dine at in the theatre district then this is it. We had a 2pm show to catch at the Hudson theatre and this was on the same block. We were greeted warmly. Love the festive Christmas decor. I had trouble making reservations for 5 people online. It said only 4 max. So my sister and I had to make separate reservations. The host was sweet enough to join our two tables together. Here is what my party ordered: Apps: - Fritto Misto (Calamari, Shrimp, Zucchini, Sweet Potato) Sides: - Sautéed Mushrooms Entrees: - Beef Pappardelle - Fegato Alla Veneziana (Sauteed Calf Liver w/Grilled Polenta) - Orecchiette Con Salsiccia (my fave) - Ravioli Di Ricotta E Spinach - Spaghetti Vongole (Linguine w/White Clam Sauce) I'm picky with Italian food and each of our dishes was chef's kiss. Attentive and super friendly service. Highly recommend.

this meal changed my life lowkey. I started with a caesar salad which was excellent, great dressing. I did the ravioli special which had prosciutto and brie stuffed inside. LIFECHANGING!

Well, I'm providing five stars! Five of us went there on the night after Christmas, and had a fabulous meal. This is a typical small New York City establishment. The bar is up front. There's some tables there, white linen tables in the back and they had a small balcony area.. The food was cooked to perfection, and no one complained about their meal. I would highly recommend when in the theater district or Times Square area, stop in.

Cute old school Italian place where all the silver foxes hung out before seeing their shows! 6:30pm reservation for 4; attentive service; the classy old school in our crew loved it. Not sure it was worth the cost but it was tasty all around for being right in the middle of Times Square.

Came in with my wife and a few friends prior to a Broadway show (Stranger Things!) and it was my first time dining here. To preface, I'm not the biggest fan of Italian food but this blew me away. Started with the calamari, which was crispy with just the right amount of seasoning/spice. I opted for the special because I LOVE pappardelle pasta, and they sold me on the duck. It was probably one of the best things I've ever had in a pasta dish. The service was spectacular in terms of timing and friendliness so that we could get to our show on time, which I feel can make or break a restaurant in midtown. We were seated upstairs and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves since it was somewhat early enough for a wednesday night. Would definitely return.

Sadly, we sat in the corner. It was still quite loud.

Great service. Okay food. Small portions. I started with the grilled vegetables and had some caprise as well. They were good, on par with other restaurants. For the main meal, I got the salmon. Salmon tasted good but the sautéed spinach was quite oily and I could not eat it. For dessert, I got the chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was the best I have had. Quite good. For me the ambience was very poor, however . We were seated upstairs in the corner and I faced the wall and sat next to a closed door. Not the way I thought I would spend my evening before the theater!

We called this restaurant after our first choice was booked all night. The front desk was friendly and welcomed us in. The restaurant has an authentic feel. The bread was delicious and served with olive oil. We started with the burrata cheese and calamari. The burrata cheese is served with beets and tasted fresh, and the calamari and shrimp were served with a scrumptious sauce. I ordered the Paccheri ai Frutti di Mare which had a nice sauce and a healthy serving of seafood. My wife ordered the shrimp risotto, and was one of the best we ever had. The lasagna was delicious, and the sautéed mushrooms were cooked well. The place was a great choice and a convenient spot for anyone visiting Time Square.

Lasagna bolognese. Perfect portion and filling.

The food (complimentary bread and the lasagna bolognese) was delicious. Server was attentive, and everything was lovely. But, when asked if we wanted sparkling water and said, no, then the reply was "still" and I said yes. We had no idea we'd be paying 10.00 a bottle for still water. That isn't exactly a "thing" from where we live. So 20.00 for water, when tap wasn't an option given, but other tables knew, was a bit disappointing. I would definitely consider eating here again, and being very careful with how I order my water. Perfect spot to eat before a show, date night, or just because.

We made reservations at Osteria Al Doge prior to going to the theater for a show. We were seated immediately upon arrival and were given the option of dining downstairs or upstairs. We chose upstairs because it's less noisy and you can hear each other. Some reviews have the noise level as a negative, but upstairs was fine. Our server was Jaime and he was incredible!! We had the pasta special with braised short ribs and the Branzino Al Forno and both were so fresh and delicious. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the braised ribs had great flavor. The Branzino was perfectly prepared and also very flavorful. Portions are generous and Jaime made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal and still have ample time to get to the theater. Prices were reasonable and if you are looking for a great dining spot prior to the theater you can't go wrong with Osteria Al Doge. Special thanks to Jaime for his food and wine recommendations

Wow I had such an amazing experience . My aunt and I stopped at this little italian restaurant and had such a great time. The servers were very nice . My aunt ordered the ravioli de ricotta . It was so good. It kind of had a pesto spinach taste to it. I was wishing I ordered that but she shared it with me. Because sharing is caring lol. I love ravioli and the taste of it just melted in my mouth . I decided to keep it light and ordered the bruschetta with fresh tomato's . It was very tasty . The bread and tomatoes paired well and was super light on my stomach. I also liked that they gave us the authentic Italian experience with bread, a side of olives and olive oil. I also saw someone pair olive oil and pepper together . The ambiance was amazing . It was decorated with both an Italian and Christmas flair to it. I would definitely recommend this place if you ever visiting New York and want a quick bite to eat .

We sat on the patio, which was perfect for a summer day. We enjoyed everything we ate and were genuinely left wanting more by the end of the meal. *Cast Iron Focaccia: Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The tomato conserva alongside it was delicious. *Mortadella con Pistacchio: Simple and well executed. Great mortadella. *Escarole: Reminded me of a Caesar salad. The leaves were crisp and generously dressed, which I loved. *Braised Beans: I generally do not love beans, but I loved this dish. It felt like a hearty, comforting bean stew. *Rigatoni Alla Gricia: My favorite dish of the night. Rich and creamy with salty guanciale and perfectly cooked pasta. *Roasted Half Chicken: Usually chicken is not something I get excited about at restaurants because it can be bland, dry, or both. This was one of the best restaurant chicken dishes I have ever had. It was perfectly moist, incredibly well seasoned, and felt like a thoughtfully composed dish rather than just a piece of chicken on a plate. Even the white meat was tender, and the skin was fantastic. The service was excellent throughout the meal. Combined with the beautiful setting and consistently strong food, it made for a memorable dining experience.

It took more than 10 minutes for our wine to arrive after we ordered it. After we finished eating, our dirty plates sat on the table for over 15 minutes while multiple staff members walked by without clearing them. I eventually had to place a plate over my food just to get someone's attention. Our wine glasses were never refilled, and the only time anyone checked on us was after we had completely finished our meal to ask how the food was. It's frustrating because the kitchen did an excellent job, but the service fell far short of the quality of the food. I probably won't return because there's so many options in the city.
