So after wiping away my tears, I pulled myself together and refrained from acting like my world just fell apart (it did). THE FOODS | We ordered... - Scrambled Fajita Skillet | Crisp, home fried potatoes form the base as tender carne asada is chopped up and layered in with the peppers and onions. A little mound of fluffy scrambled eggs sits atop and a rectangular cut of grilled panels cheese completes this dish. It comes with a side of chorizo sausage gravy that is sweet, spicy, and savory. Breakfast winner! - Birria-Quiles | The shredded birria is flavorful; mildly spiced and a little sweet, but a little dry. Tortilla chips are smothered in adobo sauce; topped with cheese, crema, peppers, onions, and two over easy eggs. Great flavors! - Huevos Rancheros | Another flavorful dish with rice, beans, cheese, salsa, eggs, and corn tortillas. Nicely done. Love the food. Had the fish tacos, super yummy. The chunks of pineapple added a nice touch and taste. Also the chicken quesadilla was cheesy and tasty. Love the service too. So Ritas 5 years ago was my favorite Mexican food place. Since then they have changed their food at least 3 times and every time it's gotten worse. Last night we decided to give it another chance and boy do we regret it. Over $100 for food and drink for 2 people. I ordered 3 crispy tacos that came with two bites of meat and cheese inside a greasy flappy corn tortilla with sides of flavorless rice and beans. It was disgusting, can't believe they served it to me.. the pitcher of margarita's was tasty but could not tell if there was tequila or not. Salsa and chips were the only thing worth eating but when I asked for some pico it was nothing like any pico I have had before, it was just crushed tomato's with nothing else. Nicole and Gina served us the most wonderful meals yesterday and it was so good we came back again today. Our salads were beyond beautiful and tasty. Came in for some lunch and was greeted and seated right away. Complimentary chips and salsa was really good! The chips were fresh and seasoned well. The salsa was delicious at a mild/medium spice level. Michelada with Dos xx was solid. Cup came with a tajin rim along with a slice of lime and a bottle of beer for you to pour as you go. This is an additional $2 on top of your beer choice. Enchiladas Suiza - This was okay, nothing great that amazed me, just a bit pricey at $21.99. Inside had a little crispness to it with the chicken, not sure if thats normal. I did get the cheese and sour cream on the side hence my plate looking a bit bare. The dish also came with a side of rice and blank beans which was solid. The major downside we had here was the service, it was hard to wave down a waitress so I decided to go pay upfront. All and all the meal was okay, just a bit hefty on the prices. read more

Okay if I could give negative stars I would. So basically we were at Harrahs and decided to eat here. We ordered- Flight of tequila Cheese app Enchiladas suiza Carnitas plate Chicken with rice and beans The app came out before the flight (which we had to ask for multiple times) The food came out right after the app and it was just okay. Carnitas was soggy. The rice was so dry I had to ask for sauce but couldn't use it cause the sauce was so bad. Plates never got cleared our server disappeared when we saw her she basically rushed to the back.. Another server cleared our plates she was so cute working so hard. We wish we would have sat on the patio to get her. Well finally I had to go to the front and ask someone to Come over and had someone come over we told them we wanted dessert so he took our order and brought out the wrong dessert... it was bad and kept getting worse... avoid this restaurant!!!! I very much enjoyed my meal here. The chips and salsa are complementary. I ordered the Enchilada Suizas and a Blood Orange Margarita. The 3-enchiladas were delicious! The sauce was excellent and they're filled with chicken. The whole beans and rice come on the side. My drink was also delicious. The drinks quite large. The breakfast burrito had too much crunchy potatoes that it threw off the taste. The quesadilla with carne asada was good but too greasy. Big portions of food. They had the BEST guacamole!!!! We had our first experience with Rita's yesterday and what a disappointment. We were seated immediately as there wasn't many people in there. It was 6:30pm. Upon sitting down it took the server a while to ask what we would like to drink. She then brought over our waters and chips and salsa (very good). It then took her 10 more minutes to come over and take our orders. There Was 7 of us. It started to get a little busy in there and it took over 50 minutes to get our food. They didn't have my order for some reason so she apologized and said she will bring it out. I waited another 25 minutes for my food , meanwhile everyone else in my party was done eating. We finally had our waters refilled but only once. It took the server another 20 minutes to get the check to us. They automatically added gratuity to the very poor service. I honestly don't think I will ever go there again. Our party was there over 2 hours total. Apparently the cashier told one of our party upon paying bill that they had new cooks and only 2 servers. read more

This is our first time coming since Harrah's opened back up and we were looking for a nice dinner as well as Mexican food. Our previous experience with this restaurant was ok, but we decided to give it another shot. Upon arrival, we were told that dining was outside and we were seated near the pool after a short 5-10 minute wait. The restaurant staff is all practicing COVID safety guidelines and appears to have a rigid procedure and protocol to ensure guest safety. We decided to order a pitcher of the margarita, steak/shrimp fajitas, fish taco, pozole, and a flan for dessert. It was kinda late, so they told us to order before the kitchen closed, but I really appreciated the patience of restaurant staff and the clean-up crew. Everything was actually really good and tasteful, the pitcher actually was good for 6-7 drinks and the flan was tasteful. The fajitas was a good serving for one person and I think the additional to pay to share would be enough to share with someone. I would definitely recommend the shrimp and steak option. Overall, it cost $100+ with tip to eat a good dinner and the service was stellar. We will definitely return and explore other options on the menu. read more

Rita's has the best margaritas. You have to try their passion Rita. We always get the pitcher when we stop by because it's so dangerously good. A pitcher will fill up at least 6-7 cups so it's pretty dang good value! Their carne asada fries are also pretty good along with their breakfast burritos. Maybe 8 items on the menu and the two we tried were very low quality and the portion sizes were small but was priced at $28 for a small burrito with meat and beans only. Service staff was friendly and my drink remained full but the food was way worse than your typical ghetto food truck. read more

As somebody who has a bachelors, Masters, and a pending Doctorate in Management , I can sadly say this was one of the worse experiences I've ever encountered. Almost didn't want to pay for my whole meal. As you can see, first screen shot shows I waited over 13 minutes for even somebody to come say hi and bring me chips and salsa, meanwhile a table of 10 sat next to us and the supervisor Alfredo right away served them two sides of chips and salsa. Finally, I got to ordered, I got carnitas, which I enjoy with tortillas and sides such as, pico and salsa, had to order pico on the side. Waited patiently while I poke my food to have tortillas and a beer that I could ordered, didn't have a chance to even order it due to short staff and filling of customer over flowing the area. Had to go to the bar and order myself a beer while asking for the floor manager. I'm the type of person that I enjoy the whole nine yards with my food. With no beer, tortillas, or even pico available I decided to quit eating and tell the supervisor on hand that I wasn't going to pay for my meal and that I was very disappointed. IT IS NOT THE SERVERS FAULT, THIS IS A CASE OF POOR MANAGEMENT! I spent over $1500 at this casino over a week span and this was such a heartbreak. Not sure if there was change in management or if everything became lower in quality because of Covid, but this experience was very disappointing especially compared to the past. My extended family and I ordered the Carne Asada Nachos, 6 Carne Asada Tacos, and the Churros with Chocolate. They forgot a lot of stuff unfortunately. For the nachos they forgot the shredded cheese, beans, sour cream, jalapeños and many more random add ons. Pretty much everything besides the beef and queso. The churros with chocolate came with out the chocolate. The churros were also undercooked and had raw batter in the middle sadly. The Carne Asada tacos came without any toppings besides the salsa from the nachos. It was really disappointing. Not to mention the Carne Asada was extremely dry and bland. We checked the bag before heading upstairs and managed to ask the lady for a couple of the missing items but she gave a lot of attitude only to come back with just a cup of sour cream. But we didn't know what we were actually missing besides the sour cream at that time until after we finished eating and looked on Yelp to see what everything was actually supposed to look like. For the amount of money we paid, the portions were very small. They definitely downsized from the past. And it just seemed like everything was done in a rush without care. The margarita was bland could only taste the mixer, the wings tasted like they were boiled and then covered in bbq sauce no flavor only ate two and left the rest. Went to Rita's while I was staying at Harrahs Casino twice. They have a food truck built into the side of the wall that is actually pretty cool. I ordered the nachos and they were not bad. We tried ordering from the restaurant itself but the wait was pretty long. We came back the following day for brunch and other then the poor service (we waited 40 minutes to even get chips) the churro French toast was really good. Our waitress was nice although she seemed new because other tables next to use were coming after us and leaving before us, even before our meals had even arrived and they were served by another waitress. The other downside is they charge $3-$4 for food togo so if I was to come back I might be reluctant to eat here again based off of the long wait we experienced. Overall the patio seating was nice as it's in the pool area so it's a cool vibe and the food I ordered was good. Hopefully once they get use to serving a full house again the wait time improves. read more

Went to Ritas on a Sunday at Noon. Seated promptly, no wait which was unusual as most of Harrahs restaurants have a wait. Ritas is located within Harrahs Southern California Casino right next to the pool entrance (past the Taco Truck.) All hostesses and waitresses were wearing masks. Ours, Hortencia was very courteous and quick to offer us drinks snd take our order. We ordered the Crispy Beef Birria ($17.99) and Enchiladas Suiza ($17.99). The Beef Birras are tacos with shredded beef, blended cheeses, cilantro. Menu did not say they were 'deep fried' so I was surprised and disappointed it was very greasy in a saturated way (versus crispy crunchy like $2 Jack in the Box tacos :) The Enchiladas Suiza were two Shredded chicken enchiladas with blended cheeses with red Tomatillo sauce on top, with spanish rice and black beans. The Enchiladas were very tasty and the blended 2-3 cheeses did give them a unique taste. The menu said the Enchiladas came with 'black beans' but plate that came with meal had rice with refried beans (not black.) As usual the big bowl of chips and salsa were fresh and crispy. Our server gave us a second bowl as we quickly downed the first. Overall a good dining experience with the exception of the greasy Beef Birras. read more

Just spent a few days at Harrahs and ate three times at Rita's. Let's start with the location. This place is located directly adjacent to the Harrahs pool. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is welcoming and the decor is asthmatically pleasing. Now the food...We received amazing chips and salsa for each meal. At breakfast we tried burritos and pozole. Both were fantastic. For lunch and dinner we tried fajitas, shrimp cocktails and quesadillas. All were pleasing to the palate and tastefully presented. This place is great. We sat inside, outside and at the bar.
