They completely lied about their walk in appointment window. Supposed to be 2-3 daily. I show up at the store right at 2pm. The store is completely empty other than 2 people sitting who were presumably there for vaccines as well. I was told the WALK IN window was "completely booked" for the the next week and to check again next week. First of all if you have booked the walk in window it sort of defeats the purpose of a walk in window. Second, not sure how you're completely booked when there was no one there?! I feel like the person there could not be bothered so I was basically blown off. I said if they don't have walk ins they should update the website and she said I could use the website to make an appointment for next week. A second lie as I had already tried that and they have no availability until after Christmas. Very disappointing considering we followed the directions exactly as the website stated, showed up on time, and no one was there, yet we were turned down. read more

This has been using this pharmacy for over 25 years and will not go to another one. I have a CVS on the corner of my home and will NOT go to them. Prior to finding this pharmacy, I had trouble with my son's asthma prescriptions. Medicine was never in stock. Every month when it came to refilling his prescriptions, the Pharmacist had to always order. Several times, the prescriptions were wrong, and not ready at the time they were suppose to be. I don't have that problem at the Rite Aid Pharmacy. Now I'm on monthly medicine and there are some "over the counter" medicine I can't take. When I call the Pharmacist to see what I can, She is on point. Sheryl, the Pharmacy Manager is awesome. Every time I go Into the Rite Aid on Jefferson and Sepulveda, I Get nothing but the worst customer service. The Cashier Indian Lady up at the front is so rude. She refused to give me a bag after my purchase, telling me I was supposed to tell her before my transaction. It's not her job to ask me if I would like a bag. Some people really shouldn't be in customer service if they don't like people. read more

Very impressed by this location. Beautiful set up (I was shocked but the redesign is great), excellent selection, kind cashier. Most rite aids are dismal but this one is a gem!!! I'm reviewing a Rite Aid. S**t just got real. This Rite Aid has become the bane of my existence. There is one very nice woman who works in the pharmacy. I don't know her name but I think she's the only African American woman who works there. She's the only reason I've attempted to continue filling my prescriptions at this den of heinous customer service. The pharmacy staff are unhelpful to say the least. It almost seems as though they put effort into make your experience as drawn out and inconvenient as possible. One pharmacist kept dismissing me with wrong information, treating me like an idiot and talking over me. I wasn't even able to update my account information without countless issues and misinformation. My favorite was the day I came in to fill a prescription and was told it would take 15 minutes to fill, so I wandered around the store for a bit. 15 minutes later I appeared to pick up my order and it wasn't ready yet. Okay, that's fine, no problem. I was making this stop on my way to work and had managed (for once) to allow plenty of time to run this errand, based of course on the information I was given that my prescriptions would be filled in 15, or even 20, minutes. I return to the counter to check out and there's a customer at the register who I'm convinced was sent as a Monty Python affiliate to pull a prank and make me late for work. Between fumbling for her rewards card, answering a phone call mid transaction, a million questions, moving so slow I could have purchased half the store without opposable thumbs in less time, and with absolutely no care or interest in the convenience of fellow consumers who are blessed with the ability to move at what probably seems to her to be the speed of light, it became clear I was going to be late for work. I then asked the cashier if I should come back to pick up my prescription the next day. You would have thought I'd asked her if could sell her children on the black market, which of course didn't compare to sloth lady's sarcastic glare of venom. The cashier spoke to me as if I was the rudest person to ever set foot in the store and told me to wait. When sloth lady finally managed to gain control of her slovenly limbs and questionable motor skills, she got in my face to inform me she was done. Oh, that's right, I'm the bad guy for being more than willing to make a separate trip back the next day to pick up my prescriptions. I'm such an a**hole. The ironic twist is I went out of my way to return to this location because the kind woman I mentioned at the beginning of this tirade had been incredibly helpful during my previous visit and I wanted to give them my business. That being said, I just transferred my prescriptions to a local CVS. read more

This review is strictly for THRIFTY ICE CREAM! This has been a favorite since I was little. Every time I make it up to California to visit, I MUST get some thrifty Ice cream. It tastes like Baskin Robbins but way cheaper. What I pay for two cones at BR, I can get 5 cones at Thrifty's Ice cream, hence the name! ! :D Yay!! read more

Went into Rite Aid drug store in order to purchase a pill splitter. You'd think that would be a piece of cake right? W-r-o-n-g! I was able to find garden hoses, walking canes, air cleaners, motor oil, hammers, etc. but when it came to a pill splitter-no dice! Ended up going to the grocery store next door and found the pill splitter within two seconds and bought it over there. Very surprised that a drug store would not have a pill splitter! read more

I love Rite Aid in theory for many reasons but in practice it's lacking. I know Amazon has made it hard but step it up. What I guess I am missing is Thrifty's. That was my childhood. Stop by tonight for an ice cream with the family since they carry thrifty ice cream and as I stood around the first, 5mins I noticed there wasn't any cookies and cream so I settled to wait for some chocolate chip and whatever the fam wanted, well those 5mins became a 15mins wait with no one at the counter nor in line to pay, and the Caucasian guy at the registered would just look at us and did not offer any assistance, so we decided to leave on the way out and asked him why I couldn't get any service for ice cream he simply said he couldn't leave the register keep in mind there isn't anyone in line to pay and there maybe like 7 people in the store walking around. Awful, awful, awful. So disorganized and sloppy in every way imaginable. There is almost NEVER anyone up front to help check people out, so it gets backed up very fast. The Manager here AMBER is beyond terrible and rude. Hey, Amber. Don't like dealing with the public? Get the hell out of customer service then. That chip on your shoulder (and those fucked up teeth) ain't cute. Only two people here are ever friendly. A younger guy (Elvis?) and an older woman with an accent. I came here for Thrifty Ice Cream and I was patiently waiting for someone to come to the register and 2 customers came out of no where and CUT IN LINE!!!!! Their Caucasian employee wearing glasses and a mushroom hair cut rang them up first because they finished paying at the register up front. I told him "we're ready, we got here first" and he replied back saying "no.. I was already ringing them up" I asked him "you pay for the ice cream over there?" (pointing to the up front register) he said "no" and rolled his eyes. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. We left afterwards. I'll take my business elsewhere when buying ice cream. read more

The worst pharmacy in town. There is a lady that works there who hates helping you solve your problems. On one occasion she actually lied and told me the head pharmacist wouldn't be there util later that day, but I nevertheless hung around anyway and the woman showed up in 10 minutes. She told me she had no idea why I was told that and that her schedule was the same as it has always been. That broad was just trying to get rid of me... someone who needed their prescription filled urgently. This was after she'd sent me away twice before for some made up reason. I'm going to find out her name and add it. She deserves to be unemployed. The good news is there is a Pavilions directly next door and their pharmacy is awesome, the people that work there are helpful, empathetic and attentive. The pharmacy store suppose to be open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. I went to there 8:56 PM on Tuesday evening 5/12/2015 and the pharmacy had only one clerk there, everything has already closed. Before I asked to pick up my prescription, the lady said she has closed and ready to leave. I looked at my iPhone and there is still 2 minutes before 9:00 PM. The clerk was not trying to help at all. To be fair, I don't have bad experience with other Rite Aid pharmacy stores and this might be just not so good store or one unhelpful clerk. read more

How about you need them to fill a prescription? Awful customer service. They instead will send you to another location without even taking the time out to call them for you instead. Oh! It gets better.... they then send me to the front of the store to speak to a "Manager". I get to the front and he's going to lunch... couldn't care to help me, doesn't care to work. I ask for the corporate number and he doesn't even turn around just states "1-800-Rite Aid". This types of services makes people not want to return again. Worst customer service. Called to ask if they had an ice cream counter. For some reason when you press 0 it goes to the pharmacy. I asked if they had an ice cream counter, a yes or no question. The girl who answered had to transfer me. What? She couldn't say yes or no? I dont know if she ever even transferee me. I was on hold for over 5 min. I was on the area so I stopped in. The counter was blocked off and the manager told me it wasn't open until 2:30. Several other customers in the store were frustrated with the customer service as well. I have been going to this pharmacy for 2 years because it's the closest to my apartment, and within those 2 years I have NEVER had my prescription ready when it was supposed to be ready. Every time I go I end up waiting 15-20 minutes while the technician puts the pills in the bottle, and this pharmacy has NEVER called me to say when my prescription is ready. The last straw, however, was when a medication I need to take daily was waiting to be filled at Rite-Aid and I was told they needed to call my doctor due to a hold-up on the shipment. They never called my doctor (or myself) to tell me what was going on. 2 days after dropping off the prescription and going without it I finally had enough and I'm taking my business elsewhere. Get more organized and be respectful of the fact that medications are often REQUIRED by your customers. A lack of communication is incredibly unprofessional in the medicine industry. read more

I've been going to this Rite Aid for years and have had inconsistent experiences - generally OK but fairly frequent problems with prescriptions not being ready, etc. But lately seems much worse - woefully understaffed. For example, yesterday (on a Sunday mid afternoon), my prescription was ready but they couldn't dispense it because the pharmacist was on lunch break. Today I went back at 7:30 in the evening, called in advance to make sure the pharmacist would be there, and when I arrived - dinner break. So frustrating that the can't keep the pharmacy staffed during peak times. read more

One the worst customer service I'll have received since I've been shopping here when it was Thrifty's about 39 years ago you guys need to go back to Thrifty's because now there's no good customer service agents inside the whole store,had to walk 20 minutes to find an item. Avoid this pharmacy. Terrible service. No one is around to help you. I had to go there many times to finally get a prescription refilled. This has happened many times...I order my refill on the phone and show up there at the specified time to pick up, then they tell me pharmacist is not there you have to wait an hour for her to come back or take your prescription and go to your neighborhood pharmacy if you cannot wait!!! Really! that's their smart answer to a customer for not having staff to help... They have made several mistakes on the meds and they never call the doctor to order a refill as they say they do. I had to call them or go there many times to follow up on a call to doctor for a refill. I am transferring all my prescriptions and going somewhere else. Do not waste your time going there if you want reliable fast service and care about your health. read more

I think that they try to get it right. However, this does not happen very frequently with the filling of prescriptions on time.
