Rite-Aid did things slightly differently than its two larger competitors, Walgreens and CVS. The store was larger, with wide aisles. It was made it easy to navigate and then of course, was the inside ice cream area Swifty. Never understood why it wasn't more popular. I've gotten to know most of the employees, over the last four years of living nearby. They were great. No exaggeration. Friendly and sweet. So in two days, it will all come to an end. I've gotten Thrifty Ice Cream at this location and it's always a good texture, it doesn't immediately melt! It's good quality ice cream. There's a large over-the-counter section, a GNC vitamin area, and many food items. I also found a lot of make-up/cosmetic stuff. They have a little bit for everyone here. Parking is always available, this Rite Aid is near several neighborhoods.

Credit to the the staff but with rite aid going down and all those customers transferring to Walgreens it's a lot on their plate. This was honestly one of the most chaotic pharmacy experiences I've ever had…read more I received a text saying my prescription was ready for pickup, so I stopped in. The pharmacy line was about 10 people deep, which already took a while. After finally reaching the counter, I was told my prescription was already bagged but I needed to sit down and wait another 20 minutes because the pharmacist still had to "remove the cap" before it could be sold. I have never heard of standing in line, reaching the counter, and then being sent away to wait again for something that was supposedly ready and already sitting in the bag. Meanwhile the line barely moved because several people were having full medical consultations and insurance debates at the register while everyone else waited. What should have been a quick pickup turned into a long, frustrating ordeal. If the prescription isn't actually ready, don't send a "ready for pickup" text. It wastes everyone's time. I tried this location because I happened to be nearby, but after this experience I'll gladly go back to my usual pharmacy. Even a slightly rude pharmacy is preferable to this level of disorganization.

While I was trying to ask questions about my photo order, the employee made comments about how people always wait until the last minute to print pictures (I don't know if she is aware that most people work 9-5s) Not only was the comment unnecessary, but it was also unprofessional and directed at customers who are simply trying to use a service that Walgreens offers. Instead of being helpful, the employee was short, dismissive, and seemed annoyed that I was even asking for assistance. Customer service should be about helping people, not making them feel judged or like they're a burden. The entire interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I understand that retail can be busy and stressful, but that's never an excuse for treating customers with disrespect. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way.
